dCrops is an NFT-based farming game developed and built on the blockchain of Hive.
On August 25, 2022, dCrops entered the Beta phase and the opening of BETA packs added new NFTs of different types into the game.

Before the BETA phase on dCrops it was only possible to play the Farming mode, and the NFTs that could be used in the game were mainly of two types: Seeds and Lands.
In the Alpha phase there was also a third type of NFTs, the Resource NFTs, but they had no use within the game dynamics while today they are usable.

Today there are 6 types of NFTs:

• Seed
• Land
• Resource
• Tree
• Recipe
• Equipment

Currently it is possible to use:

• Seed and Land cards for the Farming activity.

• the Equipment and Land cards + the recipes obtained by crafting the Resocurce cards to obtain a construction-type NFT such as the NFT Stove.

• the Construction and Resource cards to obtain Recipes such as Wood Plank, Stone Slab, Charcoal, ...

It is not yet possible to use the Cooking mode and the crafting mode linked to the cooking mode because it is under development.

When all game modes are implemented each dCrops player will be able to freely choose whether to specialize in one mode or multiple game modes.

For now, the fully functional game mode is the Farming mode, and in my post today I will focus on some aspects of that mode.

What is the value of 1 Share point?

SHARES points are not tokens but are an important in-game currency because they allow you to enter the Leaderboard and earn, upon completion of the game season, a CROP token reward that depends on the amount of SHARES points earned by each player during a single season of dCrops.

Have you ever asked yourself how much a SHARE point is worth?

I do because the value of a Share point is an important element to consider when choosing whether to buy one NFT over another and it will be even more important when all game modes are active to choose which game mode to bet on.

The value of 1 Share point is not a fixed value because:

• it is connected to the market value of the CROP token
• it is connected to the Reward Pool of the Leaderbord which is an amount of CROP tokens that decreases by 0.5% after each season
• is related to the total amount of SHARES points earned by active players during a season of play.

So calculating the precise value of 1 Share point is not always possible but it is possible to calculate it at the time when a season ends and at the time when the CROP token rewards from the Leaderboard are distributed.

It is also not possible on Dcrops to see the previous season's leaderboard as it is on Splinterlands, for example.

On Dcrops it is only possible to see the current Leaderboards.

The calculation of the value of 1 Share point would be super easy if there was the possibility to see the results of the previous leaderboard and also it would be an element to choose what and how to invest in and therefore having this information available at all times would be an incentive to invest.
For this reason I hope @dcrops will add this information in the future on the site.

To calculate the value of 1 Share point I took a screenshot of the amount of my Shares points and the amount of my CROP tokens just before the end of the summer season

Then I took the same screenshot when the season ended and when the rewards were distributed.

During the summer season I gained 227 Shares points which earned me 122.1750 CROP tokens (14654.280 - 14532.105)

Calculating at this point the value of 1 Share point is easy and it is sufficient to do a simple proportion.

If we consider the value of the best offer to sell tokens CROP (Lowest Ask) one Share point has a value of 0.538 CROP = 0.0026 HIVE = $0.0013

If we consider the value of the best token purchase offer CROP (Highest BID) a Share point has a value of 0.538 CROP = 0.0020 HIVE = $0.0010

Why it is important to calculate the value of 1 point Share

To show the usefulness of knowing the value of 1 Share point I will use a simple practical example: the evaluation of the purchase of 1 Mystery Seed.

In the Shop section of dCrops you can buy Boosters which are individual items useful for improving farm production.

Thanks to the calculation of the value of 1 Share point I can know whether buying a Mystery Seed is a good purchase or a bad purchase.

Each Mystery Seed can only be used once and will become a NFT type seed that can only be used once.

The probability of a Mystery Seed turning into a common seed is 75% while the probability of it turning into a legendary seed is 0.8%.

If I use a Mystery Seed in the current season 75% of the time it will turn into one of the following seeds:

• NFT Garlic: minimum production of 2 Crops = 14 SHARES points = 7.5350 CROP (estimated current season premium)
• NFT Carrot: minimum production of 1 Crop = 14 SHARES points = 7.5350 CROP
• NFT Thyme: minimum production of 2 Crops = 10 SHARES points = 5.3820 CROP
• NFT Sage: minimum production of 3 Crops = 12 SHARES points = 6.4590 CROP

Why should I spend 40 CROP to buy a Mystery Seed Booster that will earn me 75% of the time an amount of CROP tokens between 5.38 and 7.53 units?

Better to use Mystery Seeds obtained from completing quests instead of buying them ;)

If I had not calculated the value of 1 Share point I would not have been able to make this evaluation which is a practical and simple example that demonstrates the importance of calculating the value of 1 Share point in the game of dCrops ;)

Focus on Fall Seeds and the calculation of the Shares Points/HIVE ratio

When dCrops was in Alpha version there were a total of 25 usable seed cards and only 5 seed cards could be used during a season.
Now in each season there are 12 seed cards that can be used and in the following image you can see the 12 seed type cards that you can use in the current season on dCrops which is autumn.

Those of you who read my posts know that I like to do calculations and evaluations, and in the past I have shown the criterion I choose to follow for selecting seed cards to buy, a selection criterion that is based on the calculation of the ShARES Points/HIVE ratio.

The SHARES Points/HIVE ratio indicates the minimum number of Shares points obtainable from the use of a Seed card during a season for each HIVE token spent in the purchase of the Seed card.

Several months ago I had created with my spreadsheet a table for each season of dCrops to calculate the SHARE Points/HIVE ratio of each Seed card.
Today I updated the table for the fall season and added the new BETA seed type cards.
I also added the calculation of the SHARE Points/HIVE ratio in the case of purchasing Seed cards using CROP tokens as the payment method in order to make the comparison between the two usable payment methods (CROP vs SWAP.HIVE).

In the following image you can see the updated table.

The first useful information you can get from looking at the data in the table is that it is almost always more convenient to use SWAP.HIVE tokens as a payment method to purchase a Seed card instead of CROP tokens.
The only two exceptions are the Thyme and Sage cards, which have a lower price when purchased with CROP tokens.

Today September 23, 2022 based on the SHARE/HIVE points ratio the best possible purchase for the fall season is the Pumpkin Rare card which has a SHARES/HIVE points ratio equal to 40 and the best payment method that can be used to purchase it is SWAP.HIVE tokens.

This means that for every HIVE spent to buy a Pumpkin card you will get 40 Shares points whose value during the previous season was 21,529 CROP.

Based on the SHARE/HIVE Points ratio, the worst purchase is the legendary card Sweet Potato because its high market price produces as a result a really low value of the SHARES Points/HIVE ratio: 0.68.

Important Note: The calculation of the Share Points/HIVE ratio is a good purchase indicator for the farming mode of dCrops and thus for players who have decided to specialize only in the Farm mode of dCrops.
When the Cooking mode will be active, it will be necessary to make other evaluations.
In addition, the player who also wants to easily complete the Seasonal Quests and who will also want to specialize in the new game modes (Cooking, Crafting, ...) will have to try to have a varied and large enough collection of NFTs.

My latest Quests reward

Before concluding the writing of this post, I want to share the opening of the 15 chests I received as rewards for completing the Quests of the summer season.

Until now I have never found a Resource Gold Ore card and I hope to find it today.

In the following image you can see what I found in the 15 chests I opened today.

Again I wasn't lucky and didn't find a Gold Ore card but sooner or later I will find it ;)

Inside the chests I found:

• 9 Boosters
• 3 NFT Wood (market value per single NFT: 1,333 SWAP.HIVE - 424 CROP)
• 2 NFT Stone (market value per single NFT: 1,390 SWAP.HIVE - 486 CROP)
• 1 NFT Copper Ore (market value: 3,050 SWAP.HIVE - 750 CROP)

The total estimated reward value of the Quests is 9,829 HIVE = $4.94

Qual'è il valore di 1 punto Share? Come calcolarlo e perchè è importante! + Focus sui semi estivi

dCrops è un gioco di farming basato su NFT sviluppato e costruito sulla blockchain di Hive.
Il 25 agosto 2022 dCrops è entrato nella fase Beta e l'apertura dei pacchi BETA ha aggiunto nuovi NFTs di diversa tipologia.

Prima della fase BETA su dCrops era possibile solo giocare alla modalità di Farming e gli NFTs utilizzabili nel gioco erano principalmente di due tipologie: Seeds e Lands.
Nella fase Alpha c'era anche una terza tipologia di NFTs, gli NFTs Resource, che però non avevano un utilizzo all'interno delle dinamiche di gioco mentre oggi sono utilizzabili.
Oggi le tipologie di NFTs sono in totale 6:

• Seed
• Land
• Resource
• Tree
• Recipe
• Equipment

Al momento è possibile utilizzare:

• le carte Seed e Land per l'attività di Farming

• le carte Equipment e Land + i recipes ottenuti dal crafting delle carte Resocurce per ottenere un NFT di tipo costruzione come ad esempio l'NFT Stove.

• le carte Costruzioni e le carte Resource per ottenere Recipes come Wood Plank, Stone Slab, Charcoal, ...

Non è ancora possibile utilizzare la modalità Cooking e la modalità di crafting collegata alla modalità di cooking perchè in fase di sviluppo.

Quando tutte le modalità di gioco saranno implementate ogni giocatore di dCrops potrà liberamente scegliere se specializzarsi in una modalità o in più modalità di gioco.

Per il momento la modalità di gioco completamente funzionante è la modalità Farming e nel mio post di oggi mi focalizzerò su alcuni aspetti di tale modalità.

Qual'è il valore di 1 punto Share?

I punti SHARES non sono tokens ma sono una importante moneta interna al gioco perchè permettono di entrare nella Leaderboard e ottenere al completamento della stagione di gioco un premio in token CROP che dipende dal quantitativo di punti SHARES guadagnati da ogni giocatore durante una singola stagione di dCrops.

Ti sei mai chiesto quanto vale un punto SHARE?

Io si perchè il valore di un punto Share è un elemento importante da considerare per scegliere se acquistare un NFT piuttosto che un altro e sarà ancora più importante quando tutte le modalità di gioco saranno attive per scegliere la modalità di gioco su cui puntare.

Il valore di 1 punto Share non è un valore fisso perchè:

• è collegato al valore di mercato del token CROP
• è collegato alla Reward Pool della Leaderbord che è un quantitativo di token CROP che diminuisce di 0.5% dopo ogni stagione
• è collegato al quantitativo totale di punti SHARES ottenuti dai giocatori attivi durante una stagione di gioco.

Quindi calcolare il valore preciso di 1 punto Share non è sempre possibile ma è possibile calcolarlo nel momento in cui una stagione finisce e nel momento in cui i premi in token CROP della Leaderboard vengono distribuiti.

Inoltre su Dcrops non è possibile vedere la classifica della stagione precedente come ad esempio su Splinterlands.

Su Dcrops è possibile solo vedere la Leaderboards attualmente in corso.

Il calcolo del valore di 1 punto Share sarebbe semplicissimo se ci fosse la possibilità di consultare i risultati della classifica precedente e inoltre sarebbe anche un elemento per scegliere su cosa e come investire e quindi avere sempre a disposizione questa informazione sarebbe un incentivo all'investimento.
Per questo motivo spero che @dcrops aggiunga questa informazione in futuro sul sito.

Per calcolare il valore di 1 punto Share ho fatto uno screenshot del quantitativo dei miei punti Shares e del quantitativo dei miei token CROP poco prima della fine della stagione estiva

Poi ho fatto lo stesso screenshot quando la stagione è terminata e quando le ricompense sono state distribuite.

Durante la stagione estiva ho ottenuto 227 punti Shares che mi hanno fatto guadagnare 122.1750 token CROP (14654.280 - 14532.105)

Calcolare a questo punto il valore di 1 punto Share è facile ed è sufficiente fare una semplice proporzione.

Se consideriamo il valore della migliore offerta di vendita dei token CROP (Lowest Ask) un punto Share ha un valore di 0.538 CROP = 0.0026 HIVE = 0.0013$

Se consideriamo il valore della migliore offerta di acquisto dei token CROP (Highest BID) un punto Share ha un valore di 0.538 CROP = 0.0020 HIVE = 0.0010$

Perchè è importante calcolare il valore di 1 punto Share

Per mostrare l'utilità di conoscere il valore di 1 punto Share utilizzerò un semplice esempio pratico.

Nella sezione Shop di dCrops è possibile acquistare i Boosters che sono singoli elementi utili per migliorare la produzione della fattoria.

Grazie al calcolo del valore di 1 punto Share posso capire se acquistare un Mystery Seed è un buon acquisto o un cattivo acquisto.

Ogni Mystery Seed può essere utilizzato una sola volta e diventerà un NFT di tipo seme utilizzabile una sola volta.

La probabilità che un Mystery Seed si trasformi in un seme comune è del 75% mentre la probabilità che si trasformi in un seme leggendario è dello 0.8%.

Se nella stagione in corso utilizzo un Mystery Seed il 75% delle volte si trasformerà in uno dei seguenti semi:

• NFT Garlic: produzione minima di 2 Crops = 14 punti SHARES = 7.5350 CROP (premio stimato stagione in corso)
• NFT Carrot: produzione minima di 1 Crop = 14 punti SHARES = 7.5350 CROP
• NFT Thyme: produzione minima di** 2 Crops = 10 punti SHARES = 5.3820 CROP**
• NFT Sage: produzione minima di 3 Crops = 12 punti SHARES = 6.4590 CROP

Perchè dovrei spendere 40 CROP per acquistare un Booster Mystery Seed che mi farà guadagnare il 75% delle volte un quantitativo di token CROP compreso tra 5.38 e 7.53 unità?

Meglio utilizzare i Mystery Seeds ottenuti dal completamento delle quests invece che comprarli ;)

Se non avessi calcolato il valore di 1 punto Share non sarei stato in grado di fare questa valutazione che è un pratico e semplice esempio che dimostra l'importanza di calcolare il valore di 1 punto Share nel gioco di dCrops ;)

Focus on Fall Seeds e il calcolo del rapporto Shares Points/HIVE

Quando dCrops era in versione Alpha le carte seme utilizzabili erano in totale 25 e solo 5 carte seme potevano essere utilizzate durante una stagione.
Adesso in ogni stagione ci sono 12 carte seme che possono essere utilizzate e nell'immagine seguente puoi vedere le 12 carte di tipo seme che è possibile utilizzare nella stagione attualmente in corso su dCrops che è l'autunno.

Chi legge i miei posts sa che mi piace fare calcoli e valutazioni e in passato ho mostrato il criterio che ho scelto di seguire per selezionare le carte seme da comprare, criterio di scelta che si basa sul calcolo del rapporto Punti SHARES/HIVE.

Il rapporto Punti SHARES/HIVE indica il numero minimo di punti Shares ottenibile dall'utilizzo di una carta Seed durante una stagione per ogni token HIVE speso nell'acquisto della carta Seed.

Diversi mesi fa avevo creato con il mio foglio di calcolo una tabella per ogni stagione di dCrops per calcolare il rapporto Punti SHARE/HIVE di ogni carta seme.
Oggi ho aggiornato la tabella relativa alla stagione autunnale e ho aggiunto le nuove carte BETA di tipo seme.
Ho aggiunto anche il calcolo del rapporto Punti SHARES/HIVE nel caso di acquisto delle carte Seme utilizzando i token CROP come metodo di pagamento per poter fare il confronto tra i due metodi di pagamento utilizzabili (CROP vs SWAP.HIVE).

Nell'immagine seguente puoi vedere la tabella aggiornata.

La prima informazione utile che è possibile ottenere guardando i dati nella tabella è che è quasi sempre più conveniente utilizzare i token SWAP.HIVE come metodo di pagamento per acquistare una carta Seed invece dei token CROP.
Le due uniche eccezioni sono le carte Thyme e Sage che hanno un prezzo inferiore se acquistate con i token CROP.

Oggi 23 settembre 2022 in base al rapporto Punti SHARE/HIVE il miglior acquisto possibile per la stagione autunnale è la carta Rara Pumpkin che ha un rapporto Punti SHARES/HIVE uguale a 40 e il miglior metodo di pagamento utilizzabile per acquistarla sono i token SWAP.HIVE.

Questo significa che per ogni HIVE speso per acquistare una carta Pumpkin otterrai 40 punti Shares il cui valore durante la stagione precedente è stato di 21.529 CROP.

In base al rapporto Punti SHARE/HIVE il peggior acquisto è la carta leggendaria Sweet Potato perchè il suo alto prezzo di mercato produce come risultato un valore del rapporto Punti SHARES/HIVE davvero basso: 0.68.

Nota importante: il calcolo del rapporto Punti Shares/HIVE è un buon indicatore di acquisto per la modalità farming di dCrops e quindi per i giocatori che hanno deciso di specializzarsi solo nella modalità Farm di dCrops.
Quando sarà attiva la modalità Cooking sarà necessario fare altre valutazioni.
Inoltre il giocatore che vuole anche completare facilmente le Quests stagionali e che vorrà specializzarsi anche nelle nuove modalità di gioco (Cooking, Crafting, ...) dovrà cercare di avere una collezione di NFT abbastanza varia e ampia.

Prima di concludere la scrittura di questo post voglio condividere l'apertura dei 15 forzieri che ho ricevuto come premio per aver completato le Quests della stagione estiva.

Fino ad ora non ho mai trovato una carta Resource Gold Ore e spero di trovarla oggi.

Nell'immagine seguente puoi vedere quello che ho trovato nei 15 forzieri che ho aperto oggi.

Anche questa volta non sono stato fortunato e non ho trovato una carta Gold Ore ma prima o poi la troverò ;)

All'interno dei forzieri ho trovato:

• 9 Boosters
• 3 NFT Wood (valore di mercato per singolo NFT: 1.333 SWAP.HIVE - 424 CROP)
• 2 NFT Stone (valore di mercato per singolo NFT: 1.390 SWAP.HIVE - 486 CROP)
