Farming Tales News and OneUp Cartel Investment - Operator Cartel's Weekly Report -
Farming Tales is an NFT-based farming simulator built and developed on the WAX blockchain.
Farming Tales has two peculiarities that differentiate it from other games with the same theme:
- it uses a 3D graphics engine
- it has some NFT that are linked to real goods of real farms (saffron, ...).
Farming Tales also plans to integrate on the Hive blockchain (Q3 - 2022).
On Farming Tales I play two roles:
- I am a simple player who decided to invest in the purchase of NFT and tokens
- I am an operator of the Cartel project of the beautiful community called OneUp.
OneUp is a community of Hive's blockchain focused on blockchain games and NFT games (https://www.1up.zone/)
OneUp Cartel is:
- a Meta Gaming Guild
- a Meta Curation
- a Meta Dividend Token
Before showing the financial results of Oneup Cartel's investment on Farming Tales I show the Farming Tales news and updates related to the last week (February 17 - February 23).
First Drop of DAO tokens: LIRA
On February 15, 2022 Farming Tales had announced the upcoming release of governance tokens: the LIRA tokens.
LIRA tokens will be distributed to SEST (non-liquid but stacked) token holders each week according to the following distribution mechanism:
On February 20, the day of the start of the distribution of LIRA tokens was announced, which, as announced, should take place by today, February 23, 2022.
With LIRA tokens, Farming Tales players will be able to participate in decisions about the future of Farming Tales and OneUp Cartel who has over 23000 STES tokens in stakes will initially receive two LIRA tokens each week.
After less than 6 months since the game's launch, Farming Tales has already begun a process of decentralization and this is a very positive thing.
Greenhouse and the Seed System
In two days, on February 25, 2022, there will be a "Big Update" release:
- farms that are now graphically empty will be filled and animated by 3D animals.
- the Seed System will be released and the NFT Gardens can be used to plant seeds.
- the first Greenhouse will be released and activated.
The NFT Greenhouse will be an NFT that will allow players to produce a Seed Box (NFT) each day.
Each Seed Box will contain different seeds (NFTs) that, like the Seed Box itself, can be sold or used.
It will be possible to buy the Greenhouse NFT on 27 February 2022 at 20:00 UTC at https://neftyblocks.com/c/farmingtales and the price will be 40000 SEST tokens.
Today February 23 40000 SEST tokens have the value of 137.76$ = 480 WAX.
Only 500 GreenHouse will be offered for sale although this number may double in the future.
Blend of the Legendary Animals
On February 20, the Valentine's Day Blendin Event that allowed players to get 1 legendary animal by combining 5 common animals ended.
On February 28, 2022 it will be possible to obtain a legendary animal with the following operation:
- Epic -> Legendary:
1 epic animal + 4000 SESTs Voucher = 1 legendary animal
This blending operation will be done from https://neftyblocks.com/c/farmingtales
Legendary animals have the same production statistics (SEST/hour) of epic animals but have a lower harvest cost (cost in CBIT tokens).
In the following image you can see all of the Animals type NFT production statistics updated with the introduction of legendary card game statistics (source: Farming Tale's Whitepaper).
OneUp Cartel Investment
Initial Budget
As I do every Wednesday, it's time to evaluate the progress of OneUp Cartel's investment in Farming Tales.
OneUp Cartel has decided to invest 500 HBD in the Farming Tales project.
My activity as a OneUp Cartel operator began on January 29 when I completed the conversion of 500 HBD into 1583 WAX tokens and today February 23, 25 days have passed.
The Assets Purchased
CPU
On the WAX blockchain you need to have a minimum amount of resources (NET, CPU, RAM) in order to perform certain operations.
All Harvest operations within the Farming Tales game consume the CPU resource (which recharges with time) and for this reason I have allocated 37 WAX tokens to the CPU resource.
The purchased NFTs
In order to begin your farming adventure on Farming Tales, you must make an initial investment that consists primarily of purchasing at least one of the following card combinations (NFTs):
- Hen + Coop
- Goose + Shelter
- Goat + Stable
- Cow + Stable
- Sheep + Stable
- Pig + Stable
- Garden
- Lumberjack
- Fishing Pier
- Hive
All Farming Tales NFTs can be purchased:
- from the Market section of Farming Tales using SEST tokens (Crafting operation)
- from the Market section of AtomicHub using WAX tokens:

I chose all NFTs purchased based on the calculation of the estimated annual ROI, a calculation I made for each NFT combination on the market before making each purchase.
For the past two weeks I have not purchased any NFTs and in the list below you can see all the NFTs owned by OneUpCartel (15 NFTs):
- 3 NFT Harlequin Cow
- 3 NFT Harlequin Goat
- 1 NFT Silo Raro
- 6 NFT Stable
- 1 NFT Water Tower Raro
- 1 NFT Garden

To purchase the NFTs I listed above, I spent a total of 1106.42 WAX.
After two weeks in which the prices of Farming Tales cards had a strong decline in value this week all Farming Tales assests have gained value.
In the following table you can see the list of the cards I have purchased until today with the indication of the purchase price, the current market prices and the differences between purchase price and current value for each NFT purchased.
The difference in value (total purchase price - total current market value) is negative but a marked improvement from the previous report:
- February 16: - $134
- 23 febbraio: - 42.88$
Token SEST
SEST tokens are the native tokens of the Farming Tales game and are obtained through the Harvest operation.
To perform the Harvest operation, however, you must have two consumable items: food and water.
Food and water represent a cost and can be purchased using CBIT tokens (utility tokens).
CBIT tokens can be purchased, but they can also be produced for free by stacking SEST tokens.
SEST tokens stacked provide a daily supply of CBIT tokens.
In order to make the OneUp CArtel farm self-sufficient and able to perform Harvest operations without having to purchase CBIT tokens from the external markets on a cyclical basis, I purchased 14970 SEST tokens that I staked in the Wallet section of Farming Tales.
To purchase 14970 SEST tokens, I used the Alchor exchange (https://wax.alcor.exchange/) and spent a total of 195 WAX (January 30, 2022).
The game rewards
After 25 days of playing/investing on Farming Tales I have earned the following rewards:
- 8847 token SEST
- 83.13 CBIT tokens
From the game activity (Harvests operations) I got 8847 token SEST
From the stacking of SEST tokens I got 83.13 CBIT tokens
Unlike the last weeks I decided not to have all the SEST tokens in stacking and I will do the same for the tokens that I will get from the next harvest operations because I want to evaluate the purchase of the GreenHouse card and for the purchase we need the SEST tokens.
I will start converting some of the surplus CBIT tokens into WAX tokens for the same reason.
Considering all SEST tokens (purchased + received as rewards) OneUp Cartel has a total of 23691 SEST tokens in stacking.
This amount of SEST tokens guarantees a daily reward of 8.04 tokens CBIT = $0.339 per day
Since my last report and in seven days the amount of daily rewards in terms of the CBIT tokens has increased by +0.169 CBIT (8,040 - 7,871).
The total value of rewards earned in 25 days is $33.98 (118.39 WAX)
Profit and ROI
It's time to do some calculations and compare costs and revenues.
I've created a prospectus to show and track the financial results of the Farming Tales investment I manage on behalf of OneUp Cartel.
The financial results are also negative this week but definitely better than the previous week:
- Profit: - 46.39 WAX = - $13.32
- ROI: - 3.47%.
The results present in my prospectus are not the final results to be considered now because the calculations take into account only the investments made using WAX tokens and do not take into account
- the dollar value of the initial investment
- the variation of the value in dollars of the WAX tokens
- the amount of WAX tokens present in the wallet and not yet invested.
The results of my prospectus will be the final ones when I will have invested all the initial capital entrusted to me by OneUp Cartel.
For the moment the financial result to be taken into consideration is the following:
- Profit: - 46.16S
- ROI: - 9.48%.
A negative ROI but the potential is there
OneUp Cartel's investment in Farming Tales has reached 25 days of activity, and again this week I posted a negative financial result.
I personally consider these negative results only temporary because:
- Farming Tales has a very active development team and development is progressing very fast.
- There are many improvements planned for the future (Road Map).
- There is a large player base that believes in the project.
This fact is demonstrated by the fact that most of the cards in circulation (over 95%) are not for sale.
The loss of value of the cards in the past weeks has been caused by some players selling cards at really low prices. - Farming Tales has some peculiarities that differentiate it from other farming games:
- it uses a 3D graphics engine
- it has NFT that represent real goods of real farms
I don't have the ability to predict the future but I saw potential in Farming Tales and I continue to see it.
If the token values (SEST and CBIT) and the market value of Farming Tales NFTs remain as they are today, it will only take 33.97 days to reach the break even point.

Farming Tales News and OneUp Cartel Investment
Farming Tales è un simulatore di farming basato su NFT costruito e sviluppato sulla blockchain WAX.
Farming Tales ha due particolarità che lo differenziano da altri giochi con lo stesso tema:
- utilizza un motore grafico 3D
- ha alcuni NFT che sono collegati a beni reali di reali fattorie (zafferano, miele,...).
Farming Tales ha in progetto di integrarsi anche sulla blockchain di Hive (Q3 - 2022).
Su Farming Tales svolgo due ruoli perchè:
- sono un semplice giocatore che ha deciso di investire nell'acquisto di NFT e tokens
- sono un operatore del progetto Cartel della bellissima comunità che si chiama OneUp.
OneUp è una comunità della blockchain di Hive focalizzata sui blockchain games e sugli NFT games
OneUp Cartel è:
- una Meta Gaming Guild
- una Meta Curation
- un Meta Dividend Token
Prima di mostrare i risultati finanziari dell'investimento di Oneup Cartel su Farming Tales mostro le novità e gli aggiornamenti di Farming Tales relative all'ultima settimana (17 febbraio - 23 febbraio).
First Drop of DAO tokens: LIRA
Il 15 febbraio 2022 Farming Tales aveva annunciato l'imminente rilascio dei token di governance: i token LIRA.
I token LIRA saranno distribuiti ai possessori dei token SEST (non liquidi ma stacked) ogni settimana secondo il seguente meccanismo di distribuzione:
Il 20 febbraio è stato comunicato il giorno dell'inizio della distribuzione dei token LIRA che, come d'annuncio, dovrebbe avvenire entro la giornata di oggi 23 febbraio 2022.
Con i token LIRA i giocatori di Farming Tales potranno partecipare alle decisioni sul futuro di Farming Tales e OneUp Cartel che ha più di 23000 token STES in stake riceverà inizialmente due token LIRA ogni settimana.
Dopo meno di 6 mesi dal lancio del gioco, Farming Tales ha già iniziato un processo di decentralizzazione e questo è un aspetto molto positivo.
Greenhouse and the Seed System
Fra due giorni, il 25 febbraio 2022, ci sarà il rilascio di un "Big Update":
- le farms che adesso sono graficamente vuote saranno riempite e animate da animali 3D
- sarà rilasciato il Seed System e gli NFT Garden potranno essere utilizzati per piantare semi.
- sarà rilasciato e attivato il primo Greenhouse.
L'NFT Greenhouse sarà un NFT che permetterà di produrre un Seed Box (NFT) ogni giorno.
Ogni Seed Box conterrà differenti semi (NFTs) che, come lo stesso Seed Box, potranno essere venduti o utilizzati.
Sarà possibile comprare l'NFT Greenhouse il 27 febbraio 2022 alle ore 20:00 UTC su https://neftyblocks.com/c/farmingtales e il prezzo sarà di 40000 token SEST.
Oggi 23 febbraio 40000 token SEST hanno il valore di 137.76$ = 480 WAX.
Saranno messi in vendita solo 500 GreenHouse anche se questo numero potrebbe raddoppiare in futuro.
Blend of the Leggendary Animals
Il 20 febbraio è terminata l'iniziativa "Valentine's Day Blendin Event" che permetteva ai giocatori di ottenere 1 animale leggendario combinando 5 animali comuni.
Il 28 febbraio 2022 sarà possibile ottenere un animale leggendario con la seguende operazione:
- Epic -> Leggendary:

Gli animali leggendari hanno le stesse statistiche di produzione (SEST per ora) degli animali epici ma hanno un costo di harvest inferiore (costo in token CBIT).
Nell'immagine seguente puoi vedere tutte le statistiche di produzione degli NFT di tipo Animals aggiornate con l'introduzione delle statistiche di gioco delle carte leggendarie (fonte: Farming Tale's Whitepaper).
OneUp Cartel Investment
Budget Iniziale
Come faccio ogni mercoledì è arrivato il momento di valutare l'andamento dell'investimento di OneUp Cartel su Farming Tales.
OneUp Cartel ha deciso di investire 500 HBD nel progetto Farming Tales.
La mia attività da operatore di OneUp Cartel è iniziata il 29 gennaio quando ho completato la conversione di 500 HBD in 1583 token WAX e oggi 23 febbraio sono passati 25 giorni.
Gli Assets acquistati
CPU
Sulla blockchain WAX è necessario avere un minimo di risorse (NET, CPU, RAM) per poter effettuare determinate operazioni.
Tutte le operazioni di Harvest all'interno del gioco di Farming Tales consumano la risorsa CPU (che si ricarica con il tempo) e per questo motivo ho destinato 37 token WAX alla risorsa CPU.
Gli NFT acquistati
Per iniziare l'avventura da produttore agricolo su Farming Tales è necessario effettuare un investimento iniziale che consiste principalmente nell'acquisto di almeno una delle seguenti combinazioni di carte (NFT):
- Hen + Coop
- Goose + Shelter
- Goat + Stable
- Cow + Stable
- Sheep + Stable
- Pig + Stable
- Garden
- Lumberjack
- Fishing Pier
- Hive

Per acquistare gli NFT che ho elencato sopra ho speso in totale 1106.42 WAX.
Dopo due settimane in cui i prezzi delle carte di Farming Tales avevano registrato un forte calo di valore in questa settimana tutti gli assests di Farming Tales hanno acquistato valore.
Nella tabella seguente puoi vedere l'elenco delle carte che ho acquistato fino ad oggi con l'indicazione dei prezzi di acquisto, dei prezzi di mercato attuali e delle differenze tra prezzo di acquisto e valore attuale per ogni NFT acquistato.
La differenza di valore (prezzo totale di acquisto - valore di mercato totale attuale) è negativa ma in netto miglioramento rispetto al report precedente:
- 16 febbraio: - 134$
- 23 febbraio: - 42.88$
Token SEST
I token SEST sono i token nativi del gioco di Farming Tales e si ottengono tramite l'operazione di Harvest.
Per effettuare l'operazione di Harvest è però necessario avere due elementi consumabili: cibo e acqua.
Il cibo e l'acqua rappresentano un costo e sono acquistabili utilizzando i token CBIT (utility tokens)
I token CBIT possono essere acquistati ma possono essere anche prodotti in modo gratuito mediante l'operaione di stacking dei token SEST.
I token SEST messi in stake procucono giornalmente un quantitativo di token CBIT.
Per rendere la fattoria di OneUp CArtel autosufficiente in grado di effettuare le operazioni di Harvest senza dover acquistare ciclicamente i token CBIT dai mercati esterni al gioco, ho acquistato 14970 token SEST che ho messo tutti in stake all'interno della sezione Wallet di Farming Tales.
Per acquistare 14970 token SEST ho utilizzato l'exchange Alchor (https://wax.alcor.exchange/) e ho speso in totale 195 WAX (30 gennaio 2022).
Le ricompense di gioco
Dopo 25 giorni di gioco/investimento su Farming Tales ho ottenuto le seguenti ricompense:
- 8847 token SEST
- 83.13 token CBIT
Dall'attività di gioco (operazioni di Harvests) ho ottenuto 8847 token SEST
Dallo stacking dei token SEST ho ottenuto 83.13 token CBIT
A differenza delle scorse settimane ho deciso di non avere tutti i token SEST in stacking e farò lo stesso per i token che otterrò dalle prossime operazioni di harvest perchè voglio valutare l'acquisto della carta GreenHouse e per l'acquisto servono i token SEST.
Inizierò a convertire parte dei token CBIT in surplus in token WAX per lo stesso motivo.
Considerando tutti i token SEST (acquistati + ricevuti come ricompensa) OneUp Cartel ha un totale di 23691 token SEST in stacking.
Questo quantitativo di token SEST garantisce una ricompensa giornaliera di 8.04 token CBIT = 0.339$ al giorno
Dal mio ultimo report e in sette giorni il quantitativo delle ricompense giornaliere in termini dei token CBIT è aumentato di +0.169 CBIT (8.040 - 7.871).
Il valore totale delle ricompense ottenute in 25 giorni è di 33.98$ (118.39 WAX)
Profit e ROI
E' arrivato il momento di fare un pò di calcoli e di confrontare costi e ricavi.
Ho creato un prospetto per mostrare e per monitorare i risultati finanziari dell'investimento su Farming Tales che gestisco per conto di OneUp Cartel.
I risultati finanziari sono anche questa settimana negativi ma decisamente migliori della settimana precedente:
- Profit: - 46.39 WAX = - 13.32$
- ROI: - 3.47%
I risultati presenti nel mio prospetto non sono però i risultati finali da considerare adesso perchè i calcoli tengono conto solo degli investimenti effettuati utilizzando i token WAX e non tengono conto:
- del valore in dollari dell'investimento iniziale
- della variazione del valore in dollari dei token WAX
- del quantitativo di token WAX presente nel wallet e non ancora investiti.
I risultati del mio prospetto saranno quelli finali nel momento in cui avrò investito tutto il capitale iniziale affidatomi da OneUp Cartel.
Per il momento il risultato finanziario da prendere in considerazione è il seguente:
- Profit: - 46.16S
- ROI: - 9.48%
Un ROI negativo ma il potenziale c'è
L'investimento su Farming Tales da parte di OneUp Cartel ha raggiunto i 25 giorni effettivi di attività e anche questa settimana ho registrato un risultato finanziario negativo.
Personalmente considero questi risultati negativi solo temporanei perchè:
- Farming Tales ha un team di sviluppo molto attivo e lo sviluppo procede molto velocemente.
- Sono tanti i miglioromenti previsti per il futuro (Road Map).
- C'è una grande base di giocatori che crede nel progetto.
Questo fatto è dimostrato dal fatto che la maggior parte delle carte in circolazione (oltre il 95%) non è in vendita.
La perdita di valore delle carte nelle settimane passate è stata causata dalla vendita di carte da parte di alcuni giocatori a prezzi davvero bassi. - Farming Tales ha alcune particolarità che lo differenziano da altri giochi di farming:
- utilizza un motore grafico 3D
- ha NFT che rappresentano beni reali di reali fattorie
Non ho la capacità di prevedere il futuro ma ho visto del potenziale in Farming Tales e continuo a vederlo.
Se i valori dei token (SEST e CBIT) e se il valore di mercato degli NFT di Farming Tales dovessero rimanere anche in futuro come quelli attuali per raggiungere il punto di pareggio dell'investimento saranno necessari solo 33.97 giorni.
Per i motivi sopra esposti il risultato negativo (ROI) che ho registrato oggi non mi preoccupa e anzi potrebbe essere la base per continuare ad investire...

I asked on discord and they plan to do what Splinterlands does with the other blockchains, they will manage and facilitate the transfer of tokens between Hive and Farming Tales but will remain on WAX.
I think so, the scarcity of NFT and the ability to produce NFT every day makes the GreenHouse card very desirable.
The first 10 minutes of the sale will be available to those who have the NFT Early Adopter and those who have a Garden NFT and both my personal account and OneUp Cartel account have these NFTs ;)
OneUp cartel does not currently have enough WAX to make the GreenHouse purchase and in fact I was planning on contacting you to say I would advance the difference.
In my opinion at the moment the priority is the GreenHouse card that probably pushed up the value of SEST tokens, I think to increase the amount of SEST can wait when their value will be lower.
