The Bear Market has affected all blockchain projects including blockchain-based games but I firmly believe that in the future centralized games (Web 2.0) will be overtaken by NFT-based games although it will still be some time before this overtaking happens.
In this year I have increased the number of blockchain-based games that I follow, play, and invest in, and among them is Farming Tales which is the only game developed on a blockchain other than Hive that I have decided to play and Farming Tales is the protagonist of this post of mine today.

Before covering the main topics I begin with a short introduction about the Farming Tales game.
What is Farming Tales?
(Brief Introduction)
Farming Tales is an NFT-based farming simulator built and developed on the WAX blockchain.
I decided to start playing and investing in Farming Tales because I saw peculiarities in this game that many other blockchain-based farming games don't have:
- Farming Tales has beautiful graphics and uses a 3D graphics engine.
- Farming Tales has some NFT that are linked to real goods from real farms (saffron, honey,...).
Another point in favor of Farming Tales over other farming games is that it chose my beloved Hive to:

Below I show you all the news and updates regarding the Farming Tales game that occurred in the period between July 7, 2022 and today July 21, 2022 but differently from my previous posts I will not follow a chronological order because there is one news item that I think takes precedence because it could be very interesting in terms of marketing and promotion.
Farming Tales is officially launching on Flame Store: the Web3 Steam!"
On July 18, 2022 within the Announcements channel of the Farming Tales Discord server, an important partnership with the Flame project (https://flamestore.xyz/) was announced.
Flame is a project that wants to become for blockchain-based games (WEB 3.0) what Steam is for Web2 games.
So Flame will be a store and multi-chain wallet for Web 3.0 games that will allow people to launch, trade, and play games of different blockchains from a single platform.
For the time being the Flame project is under development, I joined the waitlist and the Discord server and in the general channel I asked about the timing of the project's launch and the answer was that the launch of the public beta version of Flame is planned for next month.
On the Announcements channel of Flame's Discord server, 12 partnerships were announced, among which are Farming Tales and Splinterlands.
Flame is a project created by Ryu Games which hired Rick Ellis who was a founder and dev of Steam which was created by Valve Corporation.
So there is no direct connection between Steam and Flame because they are projects created by different companies but Flame seems to me to be a very interesting project and if Flame is successful the player base in blockchain-based games could also increase in number.
The Farming Tales road map has been updated
Farming Tales has updated the Road Map within the Whitepaper (https://nodo42.gitbook.io/farming-tales-the-game/road-map/road-map) and in the image below you can see the planned development steps.
In the following image you can see the announcement message published by Farming Tales with more details about the work of the development team and the changes to the game dynamics that will be introduced soon.
WAX, SEST and CBIT Market Value Considerations
In blockchain-based farming games, it is always important to do the proper calculations before purchasing a token and NFT, and it is also important to monitor the value of the tokens connected to the game.
There are three tokens connected to the Farming Tales game:
- WAX
- SEST
- CBIT
In the image below you can see the current value of the WAX token, which is the blockchain token on which Farming Tales runs, and the current values of the Farming Tales tokens (SEST and CBIT) and the difference in value against the dollar and the value comparison between the three tokens.
The token value comparison is for the time interval: June 22, 2022 - July 7, 2022.
Compared to 14 days ago when all three tokens WAX, SEST, and CBIT had increased their value against the dollar, in the last 14 days only the WAX token and the CBIT tokens register an increase in value while the SEST token loses 5.75% of the dollar value it had 14 days ago.
The WAX token is the best performing token in the past 14 days:
- WAX: +$0.007715 = +8.07% (July 7, 2022 - July 21, 2022)
The WAX token also improves in comparison with both Farming Tales tokens (SEST and CBIT).
On July 7, 255 SEST were needed to buy 1 WAX token today instead 293 SEST are needed while the difference between WAX and CBIT has more or less remained the same: today 7.32 CBIT are needed to buy 1 WAX while 14 days ago 7.14 CBIT were needed.
The CBIT token increases its value against the dollar: +$0.00072 = +5.36%.
The SEST token loses value against the dollar although the decrease is minimal: -0.00002$ -5.75%.
Cartel Investment Update: Report #19
My gaming/investment activity on Farming Tales is double because I play two roles:
- I am a simple player who has decided to invest in the purchase of NFT and tokens
- I am a operator of the Cartel project of the beautiful community called OneUp.
Cartel is:
- a Meta Gaming Guild
- a Meta Curation
- a Meta Dividend Token
Regarding OneUp Cartel's investment in Farming Tales, my management began on January 29, 2022 and today, July 21, 2022, it has been 173 days, just under six months.
OneUp Cartel invested in the Farming Tales project in two successive times:
- First investment: 500 HBD (January 29, 2022)
- Second investment: 250 WAX (March 1, 2022)
From the conversion of HBD tokens to WAX tokens, I obtained 1583 WAX tokens, which when added to the second investment of 250 WAX produced a total of 1833 WAX tokens.
1833 WAX tokens is therefore the total amount of tokens I had available to invest in Farming Tales.
I used the 1833 WAX tokens in the following ways:
- Purchase of NFT: 1585.59 WAX
- Purchase of WAX Resources (CPU,RAM,NET): 51.54 WAX
- Purchase of 14970 SEST tokens: 195.00 WAX
- Cost of trading on Alcor Exchange: 0.87 WAX
VALUE ASSETS + REWARDS
The value of the NFT collection of the Cartel project
In the table below you can see the list of NFTs owned by OneUp Cartel with an indication:
- of the purchase prices
- of the payment method used to purchase them
- of the current market prices on AtomicHub/NeftyBlocks
- of the difference between the purchase price and the current market value for each NFT purchased.
To calculate the total value of the card collection I consider the lowest selling price in the market for each NFT at the time I write my report and for this reason this value is an estimated value.
In this report I record a small decrease in the average value of NFTs purchased.
The difference between the total market value of Cartel's NFTs and the total purchase price returns to a negative value albeit a small one: -48 WAX = -$4.97
The most valuable NFT in Cartel's collection is the Green House (602 WAX) even though there is a single NFT on the market for sale at a much lower price than the average price I have recorded in the past in my previous reports, which has almost always been over 650 WAX.

Market value NFTs - Total purchase cost NFTs (July 7, 2022): +$9.29 +97.16 WAX +6.99%
The value of CBIT and SEST tokens accumulated and not reinvested
Profit and ROI
In the following image you can see the prospectus I created to get a concise and immediate view of the investment on Farming Tales that I manage for the Cartel project.
In the prospectus the total initial investment cost is the total amount of WAX tokens I had available to invest: 1833 WAX.
Considering the investment in terms of WAX tokens the financial results (Profit and ROI) are positive as in my previous reports although lower than the financial results I had recorded 14 days ago.
Profit: +316.63 WAX = +32.70$ (Profit previous report: +447.26 WAX = +42.75$)
ROI: +17.27% (ROI previous report: +24.40%)
I invested a total of 1833 tokens WAX and got a total investment value (Assets + Rewards) of 2149.63 WAX so far: +316.63 WAX.
In the following image you can see the prospectus I created to track two financial results that take into consideration:
- the value of the 500 HBD and 250 WAX at the time of their use
- the current value of Cartel's investment in WAX tokens and in dollars.
The data in the table above show the effects of the Bear Market on the value of WAX tokens.
WAX tokens have lost a lot of value since the day Cartel's investment in Farming Tales began.
In fact, 1 WAX token was worth $0.28 on January 29, 2022 while today it is worth $0.10.
It is time to continue accumulating game rewards and wait for the Bear Market to become a memory and the WAX token to recover its value ;)
My investment plan on Farming Tales (Update)
Those of you who regularly read my posts and reports know that I consider farming games to be investments rather than games because the skill is more in the timing of the investment and trading in tokens and NFTs than in the game operations that generally take little time.
As with all farming games I have invested in, even on Farming Tales my main and short-term goal is to transform Farming Tales from a play 2 earn to a free to play.
As for the investment I manage for Cartel I will reach this goal when the total value of rewards received will be equal to the initial investment (1833 WAX) but without decreasing the farm's SEST and CBIT token production.
It will still take some time to reach this goal because I have reached a completion percentage of 26.62% (see next image) but I hope to do so as soon as possible.
To increase the number of liquid WAX tokens in Cartel's wallet I will continue to sell the NFT Seed Boxes that the NFT Green House produces daily.
In the past I also used to sell surplus CBIT tokens but already for several days now I have decided to hoard them all because in the future fees will be introduced (in CBIT) to sell agricultural products and thus both their usefulness within the game and their value may increase.
Today I decided to purchase an NFT that has gained utility with the start of phase 1 of the new Farming Tales product system: the Barn NFT.
Cartel's farm has a Common type NFT Barn that has a capacity of 100 units.
Now that NFTs no longer directly produce SEST tokens but produce agricultural products that need to be stored in the Barn it is necessary to purchase an NFT Barn at least of type Rare which has five times the capacity of the common type NFT Barn and will be even more useful when quests are introduced.
Today I purchased a NFT Barn of rare type for the price of 18.6 token WAX using the Market section of AtomicHub.

Il Bear Market ha investito tutti i progetti blockchain compresi i giochi basati su blockchain ma io sono fermamente convinto che in futuro i giochi centralizzati (Web 2.0) saranno sorpassati dai giochi basati su NFT anche se ci vorrà ancora del tempo prima che questo sorpasso avvenga.
In questo anno ho aumentato il numero di giochi basati su blockchain che seguo, a cui gioco e in cui ho investito e tra questi c'è Farming Tales che è l'unico gioco sviluppato su una blockchain diversa da Hive in cui ho deciso di giocare.
Proprio Farming Tales è il protagonista di questo mio post odierno.

Cos'è Farming Tales?

Farming Tales è un simulatore di farming basato su NFT costruito e sviluppato sulla blockchain WAX.
Ho deciso di iniziare a giocare e ad investire su Farming Tales perchè ho visto delle particolarità in questo gioco che molti altri giochi di farming basati su blockchain non hanno:
- Farming Tales ha una bella grafica e utilizza un motore grafico 3D
- Farming Tales ha alcuni NFT che sono collegati a beni reali di reali fattorie (zafferano, miele,...).
Un'altro punto a favore di Farming Tales rispetto ad altri giochi di farming è che ha scelto la mia amata Hive per:
- pubblicare aggiornamenti relativi al gioco (account: @farmingtales).

Di seguito ti mostro tutte le novità e gli aggiornamenti che riguardano il gioco di Farming Tales e che sono avvenuti nel periodo tra il 7 luglio 2022 e oggi 21 luglio 2022 ma a differenza dei mie precedenti post non seguirò un ordine cronologico perchè c'è una notizia che penso abbia la precedenza perchè potrebbe essere molto interessante in ottica di marketing e promozione.
Farming Tales is officially launching on Flame Store: the Web3 Steam!
Il 18 luglio 2022 all'interno del canale Announcements del server Discord di Farming Tales è stata annunciata una importante partnership con il progetto Flame (https://flamestore.xyz/).
Flame è il progetto che vuole diventare per i giochi basati su blockchain (WEB 3.0) quello che Steam è per i giochi Web2.
Quindi Flame sarà un negozio e un multi-chain wallet per i giochi Web 3.0 che permetterà di lanciare, fare trading e giocare ai giochi di diverse blockchain da un'unica piattaforma.
Per il momento il progetto Flame è in fase di sviluppo, io mi sono iscritto alla waitlist e al server Discord e nel canale general ho chiesto informazioni sulle tempistiche di lancio del progetto e la risposta è stata che il lancio della versione public beta di Flame è pianificato per il prossimo mese.
Sul canale Announcements del server Discord di Flame sono state annunciate 12 partnerships tra cui ci sono Farming Tales e Splinterlands.
Flame è un progetto creato da Ryu Games che ha assunto Rick Ellis che è stato un founder e dev di Steam che è stata creata dalla Valve Corporation.
Quindi non c'è un collegamento diretto tra Steam e Flame perchè sono progetti creati da aziende diverse ma Flame mi sembra un progetto molto interessante e se Flame avrà successo anche la base dei giocatori nei giochi basati su blockchain potrebbe aumentare di numero.
La Road Map di Farming Tales è stata aggiornata
Farming Tales ha aggiornato la Road Map all'interno del Whitepaper (https://nodo42.gitbook.io/farming-tales-the-game/road-map/road-map) e nell'immagine seguente puoi vedere le fasi di sviluppo pianificate.
Nell'immagine seguente puoi vedere il messaggio di annuncio pubblicato da Farming Tales con ulteriori dettagli sul lavoro del team di sviluppo e sulle modifiche alle dinamiche di gioco che saranno introdotte a breve.
WAX, SEST and CBIT Market Value Considerations
Nei giochi di farming basati su blockchain è sempre importante fare i dovuti calcoli prima di effettuare l'acquisto di un token e/o di un NFT ed è anche importante monitorare il valore dei token collegati al gioco.
I token collegati al gioco di Farming Tales sono tre:
- WAX
- SEST
- CBIT
Nell'immagine seguente puoi vedere il valore attuale del token WAX che è il token della blockchain su cui funziona Farming Tales e i valori attuali dei token di Farming Tales (SEST e CBIT) e la differenza di valore rispetto al dollaro e il confronto del valore tra i tre token.
Il confronto tra i valori dei token è relativo all'intervallo di tempo: 7 luglio 2022 - 21 luglio 2022.
Rispetto a 14 giorni fa dove tutti e tre i token WAX, SEST e CBIT avevano aumentato il loro valore rispetto al dollaro, negli ultimi 14 giorni solo i token WAX e i token CBIT fanno registrate un aumento di valore mentre i token SEST perdono il 5.75% del valore in dollari che avevano 14 giorni fa.
Il token WAX è il token che negli ultimi 14 giorni ha fatto registrare la migliore performance:
- WAX: +0.007715$ = +8.07% (7 luglio 2022 - 21 luglio 2022)
Il token WAX migliora anche nel confronto con entrambi i token di Farming Tales (SEST e CBIT).
Il 7 luglio erano necessari 255 SEST per acquistare 1 token WAX oggi invece sono necessari 293 SEST mentre è più o meno rimasta invariata la differenza tra WAX e CBIT: oggi servono 7.32 CBIT per acquistare 1 WAX mentre 14 giorni fa erano necessari 7.14 CBIT.
Il token CBIT aumenta il suo valore rispetto al dollaro: +0.00072$ = +5.36%.
Il token SEST perde valore rispetto al dollaro anche se la diminuzione è minima: -0.00002$ -5.75%.
Cartel Investment Update: Report #20
La mia attività di gioco/investimento su Farming Tales è duplice perchè svolgo due ruoli:
- sono un semplice giocatore che ha deciso di investire nell'acquisto di NFT e tokens
- sono un operatore del progetto Cartel della bellissima comunità della blockchain di Hive che si chiama OneUp.
OneUp Cartel è un progetto della comunità di OneUp ed è:
- una Meta Gaming Guild
- una Meta Curation
- un Meta Dividend Token
Per quanto riguarda l'investimento di OneUp Cartel su Farming Tales, la mia gestione è iniziata il 29 gennaio 2022 e oggi 21 luglio 2022 sono passati 173 giorni, poco meno di sei mesi.
OneUp Cartel ha investito nel progetto di Farming Tales in due momenti successivi:
- Primo investimento: 500 HBD (29 gennaio 2022)
- Secondo investimento: 250 WAX (1 marzo 2022)
Dalla conversione dei token HBD in token WAX ho ottenuto 1583 token WAX che sommati al secondo investimento di 250 WAX hanno prodotto un totale di 1833 token WAX.
1833 token WAX è quindi il toltale di token che ho avuto a disposizione per investire su Farming Tales.
Ho utilizzato i 1833 token WAX nel seguente modo:
- Acquisto di NFT: 1585.59 WAX
- Acquisto di Risorse WAX (CPU): 51.54 WAX
- Acquisto di 14970 token SEST: 195.00 WAX
- Costi per operazioni di trading su Alcor Exchange: 0.87 WAX
VALUE ASSETS + REWARDS
Il valore della collezione di NFT del progetto Cartel
Nella tabella seguente puoi vedere l'elenco aggiornato degli NFT di proprietà di Cartel con l'indicazione:
- dei prezzi di acquisto
- del metodo di pagamento utilizzato per acquistarli
- dei prezzi di mercato attuali su AtomicHub/NeftyBlocks
- della differenza tra il prezzo di acquisto e il valore attuale di mercato per ogni NFT acquistato.
Per calcolare il valore totale della collezione di carte considero il prezzo di vendita più basso sul mercato per ogni NFT nel momento in cui scrivo il mio report e per questo motivo questo valore è un valore stimato.
In questo report registro una flessione anche se minima del valore medio degli NFT acquistati.
La differenza tra il totale del valore di mercato degli NFT di Cartel e il totale del prezzo di acquisto torna ad essere un valore negativo anche se di piccola entità: -48 WAX = -4.97$
L'NFT di maggior valore nella collezione di Cartel è il Green House (602 WAX) anche se sul mercato c'è un singolo NFT in vendita ad un prezzo molto più basso del prezzo medio che ho registrato nel passato nei mei precedenti report che è stato quasi sempre superiore ai 650 WAX.
Costo totale di acquisto NFTs - valore di mercato NFTs (21 luglio 2022): -4.97$ -48.08 WAX -3.46%
Costo totale di acquisto NFTs - valore di mercato NFTs (7 luglio 2022): +9.29$ +97.16 WAX +6.99%
Il valore dei token CBIT e SEST accumulati e non reinvestiti

Nell'immagine seguente puoi vedere il prospetto che ho creato per avere una visione sintetica e immediata dell'investimento su Farming Tales che gestisto per il progetto Cartel.
Nel prospetto il totale dei costi di investimento iniziale è il quantitativo totale di token WAX che ho avuto a disposizione da investire: 1833 WAX.
Considerando l'investimento in termini di WAX token i risultati finanziari (Profit e ROI) sono positivi come nei miei precedenti report anche se inferiori ai risultati finanziari che avevo registrato 14 giorni fa.
Profit: +316.63 WAX = +32.70$ (Profit report precedente: +447.26 WAX = +42.75$)
ROI: +17.27% (ROI report precedente: +24.40%)
Ho investito un totale di 1833 token WAX e ho ottenuto fino ad ora un valore totale dell'investimento (Assets + Rewards) di 2149.63 WAX: +316.63 WAX.
In un investimento blockchain però bisogna tenere conto anche del valore degli assets utilizzati per acquistare i token del progetto nel momento in cui si acquistano i token.
Nell'immagine seguente puoi vedere il prospetto che ho creato per tenere traccia di due risultati finanziari che tengono conto:
- del valore dei 500 HBD e dei 250 WAX (investimenti iniziali) al momento della loro conversione (token HBD) e del loro utilizzo (token WAX)
- il valore attuale dell'investimento di Cartel in token WAX e in dollari.
I dati nel prospetto precedente mostrano gli effetti del Bear Market sul valore dei token WAX.
I token WAX hanno perso molto valore rispetto al giorno in cui è iniziato l'investimento di Cartel su Farming Tales.
Infatti 1 token WAX valeva 0.28$ il 29 gennaio 2022 mentre oggi vale 0.10$.
E' il momento di continuare ad accumulare le ricompense di gioco e aspettare che il Bear Market diventi un ricordo e il token WAX recuperi il suo valore ;)
Il mio piano di investimento su Farming Tales (Update)
Chi legge abitualmente i miei post e i miei report sa bene che considero i giochi di Farming più degli investimenti che dei giochi perchè l'abilità è più nel timing dell'investimento e nelle operazioni di trading su token ed NFT che sulle operazioni di gioco che in genere richiedono poco tempo.
Come per tutti i giochi di farming in cui ho investito anche su Farming Tales il mio obiettivo principale e di breve termine è di trasformare Farming Tales da un play 2 earn ad un free to play.
Per quanto riguarda l'investimento che gestisco per Cartel raggiungerò questo obiettivo quando il valore totale delle ricompense ricevute sarà uguale all'investimento iniziale (1833 WAX) senza però diminuire la produzione di token SEST e CBIT della fattoria.
Ci vorrà ancora del tempo per raggiungere questo obiettivo perchè ho raggiunto una percentuale di completamento del 26.62% (vedi immagine successiva) ma spero di farlo nel più breve tempo possibile.
Per aumentare il numero di token WAX liquidi nel wallet di Cartel continuerò a vendere gli NFT Seed Box che l'NFT Green House produce giornalmente.
In passato vendevo anche i token CBIT in surplus ma già da diversi giorni a questa parte ho deciso di accumularli tutti perchè in futuro saranno introdotte delle fee in CBIT per vendere i prodotti agricoli e quindi sia la loro utilità all'interno del gioco che il loro valore potrebbe aumentare.
Oggi ho deciso di acquistare un NFT che ha acquisito utilità con l'inizio della fase 1 del nuovo product system di Farming Tales: l'NFT Barn.
La fattoria di Cartel ha un NFT Barn di tipo comune che ha una capienza di 100 unità.
Adesso che gli NFT non producono più direttamente i token SEST ma producono prodotti agricoli che devono essere immagazzinati nel Barn è necessario acquistare un NFT Barn almeno di tipo Raro che ha una capienza cinque volte superiore all'NFT Barn di tipo comune e sarà ancora più utile quando saranno introdotte le quests.
Oggi ho acquistato un NFT Barn di tipo raro al prezzo di 18.6 token WAX utilizzando la sezione Market di AtomicHub.

Yes WAX is another blockchain with potential for games and there are many games on WAX.
I have started using WAX but Hive is and always will be #1 because it has many more utilities than Wax ;)

Siccome il prezzo di hive sta ricominciando a precipitare, non starà diventando più conveniente comprare i pack beta dCrops con altro token? Questo se siamo obbligati a comprarne quanti più possibili tassativamente il 25 luglio (per ottenere il NFT di livello superiore, a quanto ho capito). Se hive scende di nuovo a 0,30 o anche oltre giusto in questi giorni, non riuscirò a comprarne 10 tutti in una volta questo lunedì, ma dovrò aspettare le settimane successive entro il 25 agosto, in maniera di arrivarci con i guadagni futuri

Ciao @pousinha prima della presale farò un post con diversi casi di acquisto relativi ai vari token.
Quale token utilizzare sarà ovviamente una scelta collegata alle proprie previsioni che in quanto tali sono soggettive e suscettibili di errori...
Ad esempio se compri un pacco con i token HIVE e poi i token HIVE arrivano ad 1$ avrai pagato un pacco più del doppio e viceversa valgono le considerazioni opposte.
Io in genere se ho la possibilità preferisco utilizzare i token HBD il cui valore dovrebbe essere stabile nel tempo e avrò un costo iniziale altrettanto stabile.
Per quanto riguarda la presale ci saranno 100000 pacchi disponibili e questo è un numero abbastanza alto per un gioco come dcrops che non ha la forza promozionale di altri giochi e quindi, potrei sbagliarmi, ma non prevedo un tutto esaurito in pochi minuti ma credo ci vorranno giorni... ;)

Ah, ecco, quindi il valore non è espresso in dollari e quindi se il valore di hive sale si dovrebbe spendere meno? Dall'articolo dell'annuncio avevo letto che costano 3 dollari e dunque in hive con lo sconto del 10% fa 2,70. Quindi se il valore di hive scende, per arrivare a 2,70 dollari ci va di più oppure ho letto male (complice il fatto che non ho tutto quel gran livello di inglese per gli argomenti troppo tecnici)?

No il costo dei pacchi è sempre in dollari e quindi dovrai spendere sempre un valore in token = a 3$ al momento dell'acquisto (senza considerarea i vari sconti per utilizzo di token diversi come metodo di pagamento).
quindi acquistare con gli HBD ti costerà circa 3 HBD, con gli HIVE più di 8 HIVE e così via.
Il punto sta tutto nell'utilizzare i token che secondo te al momento sono sopravvalutati o che non aumenteranno il loro valore in futuro.
Utilizzare gli HBD, se ne hai, ti mette al riparo da eventuali pump di altri token e di conseguenza dalla classica reazione di aver sbagliato ad utilizzare quei token ;)

Ho 5,70 HBD in savings, ma non vorrei proprio riscattarli. Al limite convertirei swap.hive in HBD, ma se in questo caso non avrei lo sconto, preferirei di gran lunga in swap.hive (è la stessa cosa che pagare in hive, giusto? Visto che i pagamenti si faranno senz'altro via hive-engine, suppongo), dato che non mi posso assolutamente permettere di rinunciare allo sconto.

The Flame project sounds nice but I think it's going to be tough. Would games cost money to download for blockchain games? It just sounds weird and I don't know if it will really work out.

For the time being, it is only a project under development with some well-known and famous names among the team.
I don't think the games will be paid to download and at least in the beginning. In my opinion if the project should be successful it might be more game projects that reward Flame.
Anyway we will find out everything in a month when the beta of Flame will be launched ;)
