Today I return to share my experience of playing and investing in Golem Overlord that is an idle game developed on the Hive blockchain by https://splex.gg/.

I consider idle games almost entirely investment and adapt and base my game strategy and my investment strategy mainly on two elements that I consider very important:

• the number of active players
• the value of the tokens of the game.

There is almost always a strong connection between the number of active players and the value of the game's tokens because:

• when the number of active players increases the chances that the token value may also increase are higher
• when the number of active players decreases, the likelihood of the token value following suit increases.

Obviously there are other factors to consider and which could come into play to influence the value of tokens in a game web 3.0 such as the introduction of new features in the game and/or the introduction of new use cases for the tokens but there tends to be a close relationship between the value of tokens and the number of active players and this is especially true in an idle game.

I have played and invested in a number of idle games but out of all of them Golem Overlord is the one with the best and most information because there is so much information available to players/investors and it is also information that is easy to find.

In fact, on Golem Overlord it is very easy to know the number of active players because there is a Statistics section that allows you to know this data at any time along with other useful information.

I checked the number of active players 10 days ago and there were 10591.
Today this number has slightly decreased: Active Players 24h: 9985.

On the other hand, the total number of players has increased, albeit slightly: 11943 -> 12176

Actually the number of players corresponds to the number of registrations and not of players, because on Golem Overlord it is allowed and possible to play with several accounts.

I for example have two game accounts: @libertycrypto27 and @libertygame27.

The number of registrations has slightly increased while the number of active game accounts has slightly decreased.

Let's now see how the value of the PART token has changed over a 10-day period.

HIVE: -8.29% compared to the dollar value it had 10 days ago
PART:

• -58.54% compared to the dollar value (Highest Bid) it had 10 days ago
• -60.27% compared to the dollar value (Lowest Ask) it had 10 days ago

Here I have demonstrated the correlation between number of players, time and value of tokens.

My game activity

I started playing Golem Overlord on 20 April 2023, 13 days after its release.
On 27 April I doubled my gaming activity because I also signed up @libertygame27 who is my curation account for [SPT] tokens (https://leofinance.io/posts/@leoglossary/leoglossary-splintertalk-spt-token).

In the following two images you can see the game statistics of:

• @libertycrypto27 (29 game days)
• @libertygame27 (22 game days)

I mainly focused on defensive statistics (Fortification) for both accounts with the goal of not receiving attacks.
I try to maintain for both accounts 5 active Scavenger Golems in order to have a gain of at least 14 PARTs per day.

I am considering changing strategy for my main account which has better game stats than the other account so that I have an offensive strategy for one account and a defensive strategy for the other.

In my main game account (libertycrypto27) over the next few days I will increase the Power and Faith stats and attack players with lower defensive stats than my attack to see if a more offensive strategy can be more profitable than a defensive strategy but I think it probably will be.

My Investment Strategy and My Financial Results (Profit and ROI) After 29 Days of Play

On Golem Overlord there is a penalty on Claim for players who reinvest less than 80% of earned PART tokens and for this reason I will continue to:

• sell only 20% of the PART tokens to not receive penalty on Claims
• invest 80% of the PART tokens to improve my game stats
• sell 50% of SHARD tokens earned by @libertycrypto27
• sell 100% of SHARD tokens earned by @libertygame27

I decided not to sell part of the SHARD tokens because they will be useful when NFTs and Crates are introduced.

With my first game account (libertycrypto27) I reached the break-even point after only 9 days of play (29 April).

In 29 days of play I made the claim of 311 PARTs which I used according to the percentages you can see in the table in the image below.

With my second game account (libertygame27) I made the claim of 250 PART in 22 days of play.
I used the PART tokens according to the percentages you can see in the table in the image below.

In the table below you can see the total earnings I obtained from the sale of PART tokens and SHARD tokens with my first account.

In the table below you can see the total earnings I obtained from the sale of PART tokens and SHARD tokens with my second account.

Profit and ROI Calculations

With @libertycrypto27 I sustained an registration cost of 30 SWAP.HIVE (Golemancer Staff) and after 29 days I obtained the following financial results:

• Profit: +25.28 SWAP.HIVE = +$9.38.
• ROI: +84.28%

With @libertygame27 I have incurred a registration cost of 40 SWAP.HIVE (Golemancer Staff) and I have not yet reached the break-even point but I am close to reaching it.
After 22 days of play I have achieved the following financial results:

• Profit: -11.53 SWAP.HIVE = -$4.81.
• ROI: -28.83%

If I add up the previous financial results, I get the total financial results of my investment in Golem Overlord over 29 game days:

• Profit: +13.75 SWAP.HIVE = +$5.74.
• ROI: +19.65%

Final Considerations

My experience of Golem Overlord continues to be very positive both from a play and a financial point of view.

The game is simple to understand and easy to play thanks to a detailed whitepaper (which should however be updated with the latest changes introduced) and thanks to the explanatory windows of the game elements.

If the value of the PART and SHARD tokens remains stable and equal to the current value (possible but unlikely) I should also reach the break-even point for libertygame27 within about 10 days.

If all goes according to my expectations I will have reduced the risk to zero and transformed Golem Overlord from an idle game play to earn to a free-to-play game for both my accounts and the financial results will be better than what I shared today.

Thanks to Golem Overlord I created an additional source to increase my Hive Power on Hive which is always my main goal.

Golem Overlord: Scavenger Golems, La mia strategia di gioco e di investimento dopo 19 giorni

Oggi ritorno a condividere la mia esperienza di gioco e di investimento su Golem Overlord che è un idle game sviluppato sulla blockchain di Hive da https://splex.gg/.

Considero gli idle games quasi del tutto investimenti e adatto e baso la mia strategia di gioco e la mai strategia di investimento principalmente su due elementi che considero molto importanti:

• il numero dei giocatori attivi
• il valore dei token del gioco

C'è quasi sempre una forte connessione tra il numero dei giocatori attivi e il valore dei token del gioco perchè:

• quando il numero dei giocatori attivi aumenta le possibilità che anche il valore del token possano aumentare sono più alte
• quando il numero dei giocatori attivi diminuisce, aumenta la probabilità che il valore del token segua lo stesso andamento.

Ovviamente ci sono altri fattori da considerare e che potrebbero entrare in gioco per influenzare il valore dei token di un gioco web 3.0 come ad esempio l'introduzione di nuove funzionalità nel gioco e/o l'introduzione di nuovi casi d'uso per i token del gioco ma tendenzialmente il valore dei token e il numero dei giocatori attivi sono strettamente collegati e lo sono soprattutto in un idle game.

Ho giocato e investito in diversi idle games ma fra tutti Golem Overlord è quello che ha il livello di informazione migliore e maggiore perchè sono tante le informazioni disponibili per i giocatori/investitori e sono anche informazioni facili da reperire.

Infatti su Golem Overlord conoscere il numero dei giocatori attivi è molto facile perchè c'è la sezione Statistics che permette di conoscere in ogni momento questo dato insieme ad altre informazioni utili.

Ho controllato il numero dei giocatori attivi 10 giorni fa ed erano 10591.
Oggi questo numero è leggermente diminuito: Active Players 24h: 9985

E' invece aumentato anche se di poco il numero totale dei giocatori: 11943 -> 12176

In realtà il numero dei giocatori corrisponde al numero delle iscrizioni e non dei giocatori perchè su Golem Overlord è lecito e possibile giocare con più accounts.

Io ad esempio ho due account di gioco: @libertycrypto27 e @libertygame27

Quindi il numero delle iscrizioni è leggermente aumentato mentre il numero di account di gioco attivi è leggermente diminuito.

Vediamo adesso come è cambiato il valore del token PART in un intervallo di tempo di 10 giorni:

HIVE: -8.29% rispetto al valore in dollari che aveva 10 giorni fa
PART:

• -58.54% rispetto al valore in dollari (Highest Bid) che aveva 10 giorni fa
• -60.27% rispetto al valore in dollari (Lowest Ask) che aveva 10 giorni fa

Ecco che ho dimostrato la correlazione tra numero di giocatori, tempo e valore dei tokens.

La mia attività di gioco

Ho iniziato a giocare su Golem Overlord il 20 aprile 2023, 13 giorni dopo il suo rilascio.
Il 27 aprile ho raddoppiato la mia attività di gioco perchè ho iscritto anche @libertygame27 che è il mio curation account per i token SPT.

Nelle due immagini seguenti puoi vedere le statistiche di gioco di:

• @libertycrypto27 (29 giorni di gioco)
• @libertygame27 (22 giorni di gioco)

Mi sono focalizzato principalmente sulle statistiche difensive (Fortification) per entrambi gli account con l'obiettivo di non ricevere attacchi.
Cerco di mantenere per entrambi gli accounts 5 Scavenger Golems attivi in modo da avere un guadagno di almeno 14 PART al giorno.

Sto valutando di cambiare strategia per il mio account principale che ha statistiche di gioco migliori rispetto all'altro account in modo da avere una strategia offensiva per un account e una strategia difensiva per l'altro.

Nel mio account di gioco principale (libertycrypto27) nei prossimi giorni aumenterò le statistiche Power e Faith e attaccherò i giocatori con statistiche difensive inferiori al mio attacco per verificare se una strategia più offensiva può essere più profittevole di una strategia difensiva ma penso che probabilmente lo sarà.

My Investment Strategy and My Financial Results (Profit and ROI) After 29 Days of Play

Su Golem Overlord c'è una penalità sul Claim per i giocatori che reinvestono meno dell'80% dei token PART guadagnati e per questo motivo continuerò a:

• vendere solo il 20% dei token PART per non ricevere penalità sui Claims
• investire l'80% dei token PART per migliorare le mie statistiche di gioco
• vendere il 50% dei token SHARD guadagnati da @libertycrypto27
• vendere il 100% dei token SHARD guadagnati da @libertygame27

Ho deciso di non vendere parte dei token SHARD perchè saranno utili quando saranno introdotti gli NFTs e i Crates.

Con il mio primo account di gioco (libertycrypto27) ho raggiunto il punto di pareggio dopo soli 9 giorni di gioco (29 aprile).

In 29 giorni di gioco ho fatto il claim di 311 PART che ho utilizzato in base alle percentuali che puoi vedere nel prospetto nell'immagine seguente.

Con il mio secondo account di gioco (libertygame27) ho fatto il claim di 250 PART in 22 giorni di gioco.
Ho utilizzato i token PART in base alle percentuali che puoi vedere nel prospetto nell'immagine seguente.

Nella tabella seguente puoi vedere il guadagno totale che ho ottenuto dalla vendita dei token PART e dei token SHARD con il mio primo account.

Nella tabella seguente puoi vedere il guadagno totale che ho ottenuto dalla vendita dei token PART e dei token SHARD con il mio secondo account.

Profit and ROI

Con @libertycrypto27 ho sostenuto un costo di iscrizione di 30 SWAP.HIVE (Golemancer Staff) e dopo 29 giorni ho ottenuto i seguenti risultati finanziari:

• Profit: +25.28 SWAP.HIVE = +9.38$
• ROI: +84.28%

Con @libertygame27 ho sostenuto un costo di iscrizione di 40 SWAP.HIVE (Golemancer Staff) e non ho ancora raggiunto il punto di pareggio ma sono vicino a raggiungerlo.

Se sommo i risultati finanziari precedenti ottengo i risultati finanziari totali del mio investimento su Golem Overlord in 29 giorni di gioco:

• Profit: +13.75 SWAP.HIVE = +5.74$

Considerazioni Finali

La mia esperienza su di Golem Overlord continua ad essere molto positiva sia dal punto di vista ludico che dal punto di vista del lato finanziario.

Il gioco è semplice da capire e facile da giocare grazie ad un whitepaper dettagliato (che però andrebbe aggiornato con le ultime modifiche introdotte) e grazie alle finestre esplicative degli elementi di gioco.

Se il valore dei token PART e SHARD rimmarrà stabile e uguale al valore attuale (possibile ma improbabile) dovrei raggiungere il punto di pareggio anche per libertygame27 entro circa 10 giorni.

Se tutto andrà secondo le mie previsioni avrò azzerato il rischio e trasformato Golem Overlord da un idle game play to earn a un gioco free-to-play per entrambi i miei accounts e i risultati finanziari saranno migliori di quelli che ho condiviso oggi.

Grazie a Golem Overlord ho creato una fonte aggiuntiva per aumentare il mio Hive Power su Hive che è sempre il mio obiettivo principale.
