My Road to 32.2K Fans: Completed with a Nice and Final Surprise! (ENG/ITA)

On June 27, 2022, a important change was made to the requirements of the Starbits Millionaire Mission because a new requirement was added: a minimum number of Fans. This new requirement is not fixed but variable and depends on the number of Starbits Millionaire missions each player has completed and is determined by the following formula:
In my previous posts on Rising Star, I explained, through tables and calculations, the effects of this recent change and also analyzed 4 possible cases of 4 hypothetical players having the Starbits Millionaire card in common but with a different number of completed millionaire missions and a different numerod of Fans to increase.
Instead, in my last post on Rising Star I showed my personal situation and the strategy I chose to follow to increase my number of fans by 23601 units with the ultimate goal of reaching a total number of fans of 32200 units.
Today that I have achieved my goal, I want to share the road and strategy I have chosen to follow, and contextually with the writing of this post I will evaluate from a financial point of view the results I have achieved.
My starting point
On June 21, my situation was as follows:
- I had a number of fixed Fans equal to 8599
- I needed to increase the number of fans by 23601 before June 27 to meet the new requirements and to be able to carry out the millionaire mission .
On June 21, the cost per fan unit was 60 STARBITS (source: https://rsgfam.com/shop/fans)
On June 21, I calculated that to increase the number of Fans by 23601 units and to reach an amount of FANS of 32200 Fans units I would have to invest 1416060 STARBITS in the purchase of NFTs.
Based on the value of STARBITS and HIVE tokens on June 21 I would have had to spend 340 HIVE = $128.
In the following table you can see graphically my starting situation on June 21, 2022.
The strategy I chose to follow
To increase my number of Fans I had two options to choose from:
- buy cards from the market according to the directions at https://rsgfam.com/shop/fans and have a cost per Fan certain of 60-61 STARBITS per Fan.
- buying packs of cards and counting on luck.
Buying cards from the market has a great advantage: a certain cost per Fans.
Buying packs of cards on the other hand requires prior evaluation because there is no certain value but an expected value and luck especially in opening a small number of packs of cards plays a determining role.
In general I don't like to rely on luck but in this case I made an exception and chose to buy the card packs because the risk of spending much more to reach the number of Fans I needed was not very high also and especially because I had no EGO problems and I could sell all the cards that had a Fans attribute <= 0.
So I followed the following strategy:
- I purchased 1500000 token STARBITS and spent 322 SWAP.HIVE.
- I purchased the bundles of block cards, 12 packs per single transaction using the STARBITS tokens as the payment method to get two free packs with every single purchase.
- I put up for sale all cards with a FANS <= 0 attribute except for the microphone-type instrument cards because the music lesson that earns me the most Skill points is the Basic Singing Lesson.
- I purchased additional blocks of 12 packs of cards each time revenues from the sale of the cards reached a value of 100000 STARBITS.
Now I will move from theory to practice and show you the final results I got by following my calculated risk strategy.
The final results
I purchased 1500000 STARBITS and spent 322 SWAP.HIVE.
I invested 1500000 STARBITS to buy a total of 180 packs of cards.
I reinvested all the profit made from selling the cards with a Fans <= 0 attribute with which I purchased 72 packs of cards for a total of 252 packs of cards.
Inside the card packs I found a total of 756 cards.
The strategy I chose to follow abundantly rewarded me.
In fact, I not only reached my goal (32200 fans) but also abundantly exceeded it because I reached a total number of Fans of 38930 units.
If I had purchased cards from the marketplace on June 21 to reach a total number of Fans of 32.2K units I would have spent 60 STARBITS per Fan while I spent 49 STARBITS per Fans to reach a total number of Fans of 38930 units.
I was very lucky in opening the penultimate card pack of the 252 opened packs because I found the legendary card L28 High Roller.
The legendary card L28 High Roller has a Fans attribute of 8000.
I was very lucky because the probability of finding a legendary card is 0.05% for every card discovered.
This means that I had a probability of finding one legendary card for every 2000 cards discovered and instead I found it only after 255 packs opened and at the 751st card discovered.
A famous saying goes that "luck favors the bold" and luck rewarded my risk even though it was calculated and evaluated beforehand.
Without the luck of finding the legendary card I would have had a cost per Fan of 67 STARBITS versus the cost of 60 STARBITS per fan on June 21 and the cost of 66 STARBITS per fan currently proving that the risk was calculated and therefore viable ;)
Final Considerations
Having focused exclusively on increasing the number of Fans has produced two effects:
- increase in the percentage of EGO (negative effect).
- increase in the minimum and maximum number of Skill points I can get from completing the Basic Singing Lesson mission (positive effect)
My EGO is at 22% and in order to reduce the negative effects of ego to 0 I have to increase the number of my Skill points by just under 12000 points but thanks to my choice made in the past to invest in microphone type instrument cards and thanks to my choice not to sell the microphone cards I found in the 256 card packs I opened I will be able to cancel the Ego with about 60 completed Basic Singing Lesson type music lessons.
An additional positive aspect is that I have not yet sold the cards with the attribute Fans <= 0 that I found in the last 36 packs I opened and thus the cost per fan I incurred should further decrease.
Starting with my next posts on Rising Star I will keep track of how long it will take me to break even and recoup the value of the 322 SWAP.HIVE investment I incurred to buy 1500000 STARBITS tokens to increase my Fans number but the way the unpacking of the 256 packs I bought and opened went, the time needed will surely be much shorter than expected ;)
The strategy I followed to increase the number of Fans I recommend it only to those who have a very advantageous EGO-related situation and to those who want to take a risk that although calculated there is and that, in all likelihood, will result in incurring a cost per fan between 65 STARBITS and 75 STARBITS in the average case.
To all others I recommend buying cards from the market because in this case the cost per Fan is certain and is not affected by the luck factor ;)
Will my choice to invest 322 SWAP.HIVE to meet the new millionaire mission requirement turn out to be a right or wrong choice?
Only time will tell but Rising Star is my second blockchain-based game that I have played/invested in and so far it has earned me so many STARBITS tokens and thus given me so much value.
I felt it was only fair to reinvest some of what I have received so far from Rising Star and will most likely recoup in a few months.
I personally continue to believe in the Rising Star project and want to become even if only virtually a music star! ;)

Rising Star is a free-to-play game because it does not require an initial investment and the development team is very active on Hive and on traditional social platforms to try to promote the game and to try to introduce new users on the Hive blockchain.

Questo nuovo requisito non è fisso ma variabile e dipende dal numero di missioni Starbits Millionaire che ogni giocatore ha completato ed è determinato dalla seguente formula:
Nei miei precedenti post su Rising Star ho spiegato, tramite tabelle e calcoli, gli effetti di questa recente modifica e ho anche analizzato 4 possibili casi di 4 ipotetici giocatori accomunati dal possesso della carta Starbits Millionaire ma con un diverso numero di missioni milionarie completate e un numerod diverso di Fans da aumentare.
Nel mio ultimo post su Rising Star ho invece mostrato la mia situazione personale e la strategia che ho scelto di seguire per aumentare il mio numero di fans di 23601 unità con l'obiettivo finale di raggiungere un numero totale di fans di 32200 unità.
Oggi che ho raggiunto il mio obiettivo voglio condividere il percorso e la strategia che ho scelto di seguire e contestualmente alla scrittura di questo post valuterò da un punto di vista finanziario i risultati che ho ottenuto.
Il mio punto di partenza
Il 21 giugno la mia situazione era la seguente:
- avevo un numero di Fans fissi uguale a 8599
- avevo bisogno di incrementare il numero di fans di 23601 unità entro il 27 giugno per soddisfare i nuovi requisiti e per poter svolgere la missione milionaria .
Il 21 giugno il costo per unità di fan era di 60 STARBITS (source: https://rsgfam.com/shop/fans)
Il 21 giugno ho calcolato che per aumentare il numero di Fans di 23601 unità e per raggiungere un quantitativo di FANS di 32200 Fans unità avrei dovuto investire 1416060 STARBITS nell'acquisto di NFT.
In base al valore dei token STARBITS e dei token HIVE del 21 giugno avrei dovuto spendere 340 HIVE = 128$.
Nel prospetto seguente puoi vedere graficamente la mia situazione di partenza in data 21 giugno 2022.
La strategia che ho scelto di seguire
Per aumentare il mio numero di Fans avevo due opzioni tra cui scegliere:
- comprare le carte dal mercato in base alle indicazioni del sito https://rsgfam.com/shop/fans e avere un costo per Fan certo di 60-61 STARBITS per fan.
- acquistare pacchi di carte e affidarmi alla fortuna.
Comprare le carte dal mercato ha un grande vantaggio: un costo per Fans certo.
Comprare i pacchi di carte richiede invece una valutazione preventiva perchè non c'è un valore certo ma un valore atteso e la fortuna soprattutto nell'apertura di un numero esiguo di pacchi di carte gioca un ruolo determinante.
In generale non mi piace affidarmi alla fortuna ma in questo caso ho fatto un'eccezione e ho scelto di comprare i pacchi di carte perchè il rischio di spendere molto di più per raggiungere il numero di Fans a me necessario non era molto alto anche e soprattutto perchè non avevo problemi di EGO e potevo vendere tutte le carte che avevano un attributo Fans <= 0.
Così ho seguito la seguente strategia:
- ho acquistato 1500000 token STARBITS ed ho speso 322 SWAP.HIVE
- ho acquistato i pacchi di carte a blocchi, 12 pacchi per singola transazione utilizzando i token STARBITS come metodo di pagamento per avere due pacchi gratis ad ogni singolo acquisto.
- ho messo in vendita tutte le carte con un attributo FANS <= 0 ad esclusione delle carte strumento di tipo microfono perchè la music lesson che mi permette di guadagnare il maggior numero di punti Skill è la Basic Singing Lesson.
- ho acquistato altri blocchi di 12 pacchi di carte ogni volta che il ricavo della vendita delle carte raggiungeva un valore di 100000 STARBITS.
Adesso passo dalla teoria alla pratica e ti mostro i risultati finali che ho ottenuto seguendo la mia strategia a rischio calcolato.
I risultati finali
Ho acquistato 1500000 STARBITS e ho speso 322 SWAP.HIVE
Ho investito 1500000 STARBITS per comprare un totale di 180 pacchi di carte.
Ho reinvestito tutto il guadagno ottenuto dalle carte con un attributo Fans <= 0 con cui ho acquistato un totale di 252 pacchi di carte.
All'interno dei pacchi di carte ho trovato un totale di 756 carte.
La strategia che ho scelto di seguire mi ha abbondantemente premiato.
Infatti non solo ho raggiunto il mio obiettivo (32200 fans) ma l'ho anche abbondandetemente superato perchè ho raggiunto un numero totale di Fans di 38930 unità.
Se il 21 giugno avessi acquistato le carte dal mercato per raggiungere un numero totale di fans di 32.2K unità avrei speso 60 STARBITS per Fan mentre io ho speso 49 STARBITS per Fans per raggiungere un numero totale di Fans di 38930 unità.
Sono stato molto fortunato nell'apertura del penultimo pacco di carte dei 252 pacchi aperti perchè ho trovato la carta leggendaria L28 High Roller.
La carta leggendaria L28 High Roller ha un attributo Fans di 8000 unità.
Sono stato molto fortunato perchè la probabilità di trovare una carta leggendaria è dello 0.05% per ogni carta scoperta.
Questo vuol dire che avevo una probabilità di trovare una carta leggendaria ogni 2000 carte scoperte e invece io l'ho trovata solo dopo 255 pacchi aperti e alla 751esima carta scoperta.
Un famoso detto dice che "la fortuna aiuta gli audaci" e la fortuna ha premiato il mio rischio anche se calcolato e valutato preventivamente.
Senza la fortuna di trovare la carta leggendaria avrei avuto un costo per Fan di 67 STARBITS contro il costo di 60 STARBITS per fan del 21 giugno e il costo di 66 STARBITS per fan attuale a dimostrazione del fatto che il rischio era calcolato e quindi corribile ;)
Considerazioni Finali
Aver puntato esclusivamente sull'incremento del numero dei Fans ha prodotto due effetti:
- aumento della percentuale dell'EGO (effetto negativo)
- aumento del numero minimo e massimo dei punti Skill che posso ottenere dal completamento della missione Basic Singing Lesson (effetto positivo)
Il mio EGO è al 22% e per ridurre a 0 gli effetti negativi dell'ego devo aumentare il numero dei miei punti Skill di poco meno di 12000 punti ma grazie alla mia scelta effettuata in passato di investire in carte strumento di tipo microfono e grazie alla scelta di non vendere le carte microfono che ho trovato nei 256 pacchi di carte che ho aperto potrò annullare l'Ego con circa 60 lezioni di musica di tipo Basic Singing Lesson completate.
Un ulteriore aspetto positivo è che non ho ancora venduto le carte con l'attributo Fans <= 0 che ho trovato negli ultimi 36 pacchi che ho aperto e quindi il costo per fan che ho sostenuto dovrebbe ulteriormente diminuire.
A partire dai miei prossimi post su Rising Star terrò traccia del tempo che impiegherò per raggiungere il punto di pareggio e per recuperare il valore dell'investimento di 322 SWAP.HIVE che ho sostenuto per acquistare 1500000 token STARBITS per aumentare il numero dei miei Fans ma per come è andato lo spacchettamento dei 256 pacchi che ho acquistato e aperto il tempo necessario sarà sicuramente molto più breve del previsto ;)
La strategia che ho seguito per aumentare il numero di Fans la consiglio solo a chi ha una situazione relativa all'EGO molto vantaggiosa e a chi vuole correre un rischio che seppur calcolato c'è e che, con molta probabilità, porterà a sostenere un costo per fan tra 65 STARBITS e 75 STARBITS nel caso medio.
A tutti gli altri consiglio di acquistare le carte dal mercato perchè in questo caso il costo per Fan è certo e non è influenzabile dal fattore fortuna ;)
La mia scelta di investire 322 SWAP.HIVE per soddisfare il nuovo requisito della missione milionaria si rivelerà una scelta giusta o sbagliata?
Solo il tempo potrà dirlo ma Rising Star è il mio secondo gioco basato su blockchain a cui ho giocato/investito e fino ad ora mi ha fatto guadagnare tanti token STARBITS e quindi mi ha dato tanto valore.
Ho ritenuto giusto reinvestire una parte di quello che ho ricevuto fino ad ora da Rising Star e che recupererò con molta probabilità in pochi mesi.
Personalmente continuo a credere nel progetto di Rising Star e voglio diventare anche se solo virtualmente una star della musica! ;)
In conclusione voglio ricordare ai miei lettori che c'è una proposta DHF fatta da Rising Star.

Si hai ragione con la leggendaria ho ottenuto già un ottimo recupero ma nei giochi di farming mantengo sempre un profilo molto low risk e considero recuperato l'investimento solo quando ho ottenuto un certo ammontare di token e considero il valore degli NFT solo quando li ho venduti ;)

Non posso che farti i miei complimenti per i risultati che stai ottenendo, e che, per ora, sono ancora molto distanti da quelli che sto faticosamente guadagnandomi, ma questo gioco mi sta prendendo sempre di più, a differenza di quanto sta succedendo, al contrario, con Splinterlands, che sta iniziando un po' a stufarmi, vista la crescente richiesta di tempo, che peraltro non ho, che richiede, a seguito delle novità introdotte.
Certamente mi ci vorrà ancora un bel po' per raggiungerti, ma devo anche ammettere che sto crescendo ad un buon ritmo, grazie anche alle missioni da "milionario", per le quali, inizialmente, dopo le novità introdotte, stavo iniziando a preoccuparmi per nulla, che mi consentono di racimolare, abbastanza velocemente, starbits sufficienti per acquistare, ciclicamente, nuove carte, e crescere ulteriormente.
I miei complimenti, poi, a proposito di carte, per la splendida botta di culo che ti ha consentito di portare a casa una carta semplicemente fantastica, che ti ha, sicuramente, dato un notevole boost per raggiungere i tuoi obiettivi.
Spero inoltre che tu ti sia goduto, alla grande, la settimana di ferie trascorsa con la tua famiglia, perché, sicuramente, è la cosa più importante nella vita di ognuno di noi, ed i momenti passati con loro sono quelli che rimangono indelebili e per i quali vale la pena di lottare giornalmente.
Ti auguro una buona giornata e di ottenere risultati sempre migliori.

Si Rising Star è un bel progetto con il tema giusto e inoltre il creatore è bravo e molto attivo su Hive.
E' ovviamente un gioco totalmente differente da Splinterlands perchè è sostanzialmente un gioco single player che richiede poco tempo anche se adesso con la nuova modifica alla missione milionaria richiederà un pò di tempo in più anche se anche ora il tempo da dedicarci è poco.
E' stata proprio una grande botta di culo e tra l'altro anche molto piacevole perchè ho trovato la leggendaria al penultimo pacco disponibile :)
Vacanza bellissima ma troppo corta, invece di una settimana avrei preferito durasse un mese ma non si può purtroppo :) :)

Si è decisamente un bel progetto, che mi piace ogni giorno che passa sempre di più perché sto iniziando a crescere, e la missione milionaria, che temevo che, a seguito delle nuove modifiche, mi fosse impossibile portare avanti, mi sta dando, al contrario, parecchie soddisfazioni, facendomi crescere abbastanza velocemente, e consentendomi di accumulare un numero di starbits sufficienti per riuscire a comprare, ciclicamente, nuovi pacchetti di carte che mi aiutano, di conseguenza a crescere ulteriormente....
Le botte di culo, d'altro canto, funzionano così, e proprio per quello sono ancora più piacevoli quando succedono. 😉
Capisco perfettamente, poiché il tempo che si trascorre con le persone che ami, e con le quali ti trovi bene, tende a volare via velocemente e non basta mai, al contrario di quello che succede quando ti trovi sul posto di lavoro, soprattutto se è un lavoro che mal sopporti, dove sembra che, al contrario, le giornate non passino mai...
Ero certo di trovarti d'accordo su quello che avevo scritto in merito alla famiglia che, anche per me, è il punto centrale della mia vita e del mio intero universo...

Yes I wanted to take a risk instead of having a certain cost and it worked out well for me but luck played a role.
Without legendary card I would have had a slightly higher cost per fan than buying from the card market.
However, I still have some cards to sell that I found in the last 36 packs of cards so my cost per fan should go down again.
If you follow my same strategy I wish you the same luck and find a nice legendary card ;)

Qui sto ancora valutando: non sono troppo ferrata con questi calcoli (pur avendo visto per bene il tuo articolo precedente con le 4 ipotesi), ma se ho ben capito, con 1000 fan di partenza bisogna aggiungerne 100 a ogni missione milionaria (se ce ne sono 1500, saranno 150, se 2000 saranno 200, o mi sbaglio nei calcoli?🤔). I costi di certi NFT sono aumentati di parecchio, rispetto all'anno scorso. Per qualche carta sono triplicati. Se i prezzi continuano a lievitare, non lo vorrei dire, ma si rischierebbe di andar sotto (si guadagnano 10K starbits a missione milionaria e se ne spendono quasi altrettanti per avere più fan da bilanciare con skill causa ego🤔. Per il momento, almeno per chiunque di noi vive in un paese latino o africano o asiatico, basterebbe e avanzerebbe un bel botto di local mini tour support (riesco a farne mediamente 2 al giorno) e se mi dovesse riuscire di sbloccare la terza zona (ho fatto più band audition, ma mi esce sempre fuori che i musicisti hanno fatto schifo🤣), mi è stato detto che lì le missioni fanno guadagnare come la seconda, ma senza ego, se ho ricevuto info corrette.
