Splinterlands is absolutely my favorite blockchain-based game, and the goal I want to achieve in the short term is to get back to at least playing in the Champion III league.
To achieve my goal I am increasing the battle strength of my card collection through an optimization activity that consists of:

• buying cards that I think are useful in battle
• selling cards that are not very useful in battle and / or that I never use in battle.
• selling cards that are objectively useful in battle but only at a certain level and that I have no intention of upgrading.

Today I have identified another purchase goal but before sharing it I want to update my readers on the new features introduced by Splinterlands in the last seven days.

SPS Tokens and Crypto.com

The first nice news announced by Splinterlands 5 days ago in this post is that Splinterlands' governance tokens, Splintershards (SPS) tokens, have been listed on Crypto.com (https://crypto.com/exchange/trade/spot/SPS_USDT).
It is indeed possible to exchange SPS tokens for USDT tokens (SPS:USDT).

SPS tokens were released by Splinterlands in late July 2021 and in the first few days after release reached their ATH ($1.07 - July 28, 2022).

Today, April 5, 2022, SPS tokens have a value of $0.111.

SPS tokens have lost value as use cases have decreased and as the value of the benefits obtainable through possession or stacking has decreased.

For example during the Chaos Legion presale SPS tokens were needed to get a 10% discount on the purchase of Chaos Legion packs.
In the early days of the Airdrop of the SPS tokens stacking guaranteed a triple digit percentage APR while today the percentage of APR is 26.71%.

The maximum supply of SPS tokens will be 3 billion tokens and in the following image you can see the breakdown of token distrubution.

Out of a maximum supply of 3 billion tokens there is currently a total supply of about 667 million tokens and about half of them are stacked.

The current value of current SPS tokens is therefore much lower than in the past but among Splinterlands assets, SPS tokens are the ones that will have the largest increase in the number of use cases.

As announced in a previous post published by @splinterlands the SPS tokens will have the following use cases:

• SPS Validator Nodes & Governance Voting.
• $4M+ non-SPS funds in treasury to be owned & controlled by staked SPS token holders
• ~$12M of Riftwatchers pack sales purchasable exclusively with SPS, all going to the SPS foundation treasury
• Land expansion heavy reliance on SPS token staking
• Private sale & airdrop distributions ending leading to over 53M fewer SPS tokens distributed each month
• New reward pools to incentivize gameplay + SPS delegation

The SPS Validator Nodes have already been implemented while soon there will be the release of the Riftwatchers edition card packs and it will be possible to purchase them exclusively with SPS tokens.

My not financial advice but just my personal opinion but I believe that SPS tokens could increase in value as new use cases are introduced.

For this reason I have never sold an SPS token and have set as my goal to accumulate an amount of at least 50000 SPS tokens before the end of the airdrop.

The end of the airdrop is 113 days away and I have a total of 26734,392 SPS tokens in my wallet.

I currently receive about 90 SPS tokens per day and if I maintain this daily amount I should receive just over 10170 SPS tokens from the airdrop.
To reach my goal before the end of the airdrop I will need to get about 13000 additional SPS tokens and my strategy will be as follows:

• I will purchase SPS tokens from the market in several steps and only when I find a value below $0.120.
  Today for example I bought 300 SPS tokens from TribalDex (https://tribaldex.com/).
  

  

• I will try to participate in more tournaments that have SPS tokend prizes.
  
  Among other things, since I am strengthening the strength in battle of my collection of cards I should be able to get more and more placings and prizes.

Splinterlands TV

The other interesting new feature recently introduced by the Splinterlands development team is Splinterlands TV (March 30, 2022).

Objective: Cursed Windeku Upgrade

As I wrote in the introduction of this post I'm trying to increase the battle strength of my card collection and today I reached another upgrade goal.
The card I decided to upgrade today is Cursed Windeku.

Cursed Windeku is a rare card from the Chaos Legion edition.
It is a death element card that has the following starting battle statistics (level 1):

• 2 melee attack points
• 0 armor points
• 9 life points
• 1 ability already starting at level 1: Thorns
  

Cursed Windeku level 1 is a card that plays well in early leagues (Bronze and Silver) but isn't very useful in the leagues I play in (Gold and Diamond).

Cursed Windeku becomes a much more useful card in battle when it reaches level 5 because compared to level 1:

• increases its life points by one unit (1->10)
• increases its melee attack points by one unit (2->3)
• acquires a second useful ability: Heal
  

The level that in my opinion has the best utility/cost ratio is level 5, and it is also my upgrade target today.

Cursed Windeku of level 5 is the result of combining 40 BCX (40 level 1 cards)

I already have 32 Cursed Windeku level 1 cards in my card collection and in order to reach my upgrade goal I need to purchase 8 level 1 cards.

I decided to buy the eight cards I need right away and I used the Monstermarket site (https://monstermarket.io/) to purchase them.

I spent a total of 3805,072 DEC tokens and received a cashback of 3% (114,154 DEC).

Conclusion

The addition of the SPS:USDT pair to Crypto.com and the creation of the Splinterlands TV channel are two great new features and two useful tools to promote and advertise Splinterlands, and I'm very happy about that.

With the enhancement of Cursed Windeku, I have added to my collection a card that I can use in battle in first position particularly when the usable element is Death and when the battle has a low to medium mana requirement.
Having a greater number of useful cards in battle equates to having a greater number of possible strategic choices.
I still have a lot of cards to buy and/or upgrade to get back to playing in the Champion leagues of Splinterlands but sooner or later I'll get there ;)

Splinterlands è in assoluto il mio gioco basato su blockchain preferito e l'obiettivo che voglio raggiungere nel breve termine è di ritornare a giocare almeno nella lega Champion III.
Per raggiungere il mio obiettivo sto aumentando la forza in battaglia della mia collezione di carte tramite un'attività di ottimizzazione che consiste nel:

• acquistare carte che secondo me sono utili in battaglia
• vendre le carte che sono poco utili in battaglia e/o che non utilizzo mai in battaglia
• vendere le carte che sono oggettivamente utili in battaglia ma solo ad un determinato livello e che non ho intenzione di potenziare

Oggi ho individuato un'altro obiettivo di acquisto ma prima di condividerlo voglio aggiornare i miei lettori e in particolare quelli che hanno poca dimenstichezza con la lingua inglese sulle novità introdotte da Splinterlands negli ultimi sette giorni.

SPS Tokens e Crypto.com

La prima bella novità annuciata da Splinterlands 5 giorni fa in questo post è che i token di governance di Splinterlands, i token Splintershards (SPS), sono stati listati su Crypto.com (https://crypto.com/exchange/trade/spot/SPS_USDT).
E' infatti possibile scambiare i token SPS con i token USDT (SPS:USDT).

I token SPS sono stati rilasciati da Splinterlands a fine luglio 2021 e nei primi giorni dopo il rilascio hanno raggiunto il loro ATH (1.07$ - 28 luglio 2022).

Oggi 5 aprile 2022 i token SPS hanno un valore di 0.111$

I token SPS hanno perso valore man mano che sono diminuti i casi d'uso e man mano che è diminuito il valore dei vantaggi ottenibili con il possesso o lo stacking.

Ad esempio durante la prevendita Chaos Legion i token SPS erano necessari per avere uno sconto del 10% sull'acquisto dei pacchi Chaos Legion.
Nei primi giorni dell'Airdrop dei token SPS lo stacking garantiva un APR a tre cifre percentuali mentre oggi la percentuale dell'APR è del 26.71%.

L'offerta massima dei token SPS sarà di 3 miliardi di token e nell'immagine seguente puoi vedere la ripartizione della distrubuzione dei token.

Su una supply massima di 3 miliardi di token al momento c'è un'offerta totale di circa 667 milioni di token e circa la metà sono in stacking.

Anche se il valore attuale dei token SPS attuale è molto più basso rispetto al passato, tra gli asset di Splinterlands i token SPS sono quelli che avranno il maggior incremento del numero di casi d'uso.

Come annunciato in un precedente post pubblicato da @splinterlands i token SPS avranno i seguenti casi d'uso:

• SPS Validator Nodes & Governance Voting

Gli SPS Validator Nodes sono stati già implementati mentre prossimamente ci sarà il rilascio dei pacchi di carte dell'edizione Riftwatchers e sarà possibile acquistarli esclusivamente con i token SPS.

Il mio non è un consiglio finanziario ma solo una mia personale opinione ma credo che i token SPS potrebbero aumentare di valore man mano che saranno introdotti nuovi casi d'uso.

Per questo motivo non ho mai venduto un token SPS e ho fissato come mio obiettivo di accumulare un quantitativo di almeno 50000 token SPS prima della fine dell'airdrop.

Alla fine dell'airdrop mancano 113 giorni e nel mio wallet ho un totale di 26734.392 token SPS.

Attualmente ricevo circa 90 token SPS al giorno e se manterrò questo quantitativo giornaliero dovrei ricevere poco più di 10170 token SPS.
Per raggiungere il mio obiettivo prima della fine dell'airdrop dovrò ottenere circa 13000 token SPS aggiuntivi e la mia strategia sarà la seguente:

• acquisterò i token SPS dal mercato in pià fasi e solo quando troverò un valore inferiore a 0.120$.
  Oggi ad esempio ho acquistato 300 token SPS da TribalDex (https://tribaldex.com/).
  

  

• cercherò di partecipare a un numero maggiore di tornei.
  
  Tra l'altro poichè sto potenziando la forza in battaglia della mia collezione di carte dovrei riuscire ad ottenere piazzamenti e premi sempre maggiori.

L'altra interessante novità introdotta di recente dal team di sviluppo di Splinterlands è la Splinterlands TV (30 marzo 2022).

Obiettivo: Upgrade di Cursed Windeku

Come ho scritto nell'introduzione di questo post sto cercando di aumentare la forza in battaglia della mia collezione di carte e oggi ho raggiunto un altro obiettivo di potenziamento.
La carta che ho deciso di potenziare oggi è Cursed Windeku.

Cursed Windeku è una carta rara dell'edizione Chaos Legion.
E' una carta dell'elemento morte che ha le seguenti statistiche di battaglia di partenza (livello 1):

• 2 punti di attacco da mischia
• 0 punti armatura
• 9 punti vita
• 1 abilità già a partire dal livello 1: Thorns
  

Cursed Windeku di livello 1 è una carta che gioca bene nelle leghe iniziali (Bronze e Silver) ma non è molto utile nelle leghe in cui gioco io (Gold e Diamond).

Cursed Windeku diventa una carta molto più utile in battaglia quando raggiunge il livello 5 perchè rispetto al livello 1:

• aumenta i suoi punti vita di una unità (1->10)
• aumenta i sui punti di attacco da mischia di un'unità (2->3)
• acquisce una seconda e utile abilità: Heal
  

Il livello che secondo me ha il miglior rapporto utilità/costo è proprio il quinto livello ed è anche il mio obiettivo di potenziamento odierno.

Cursed Windeku di livello 5 è il risultato della combinazione di 40 BCX (40 carte di livello 1)

Nella mia collezione di carte ho già 32 carte Cursed Windeku di livello 1 e per raggiungere il mio obiettivo di potenziamento ho bisogno di acquistare 8 carte di livello 1.

Ho deciso di acquistare le otto carte che mi servono subito e ho utilizzato per l'acquisto il sito Monstermarket (https://monstermarket.io/)

Ho speso in totale 3805.072 token DEC e ho ricevuto un cashback del 3% (114.154 DEC).

Conclusione

L'aggiunta della coppia SPS:USDT a Crypto.com e la creazione del canale Splinterlands TV sono due ottime novità e due utili strumenti per promuovere e pubblicizzare Splinterlands e sono molto contento per questo.

Con il potenziamento di Cursed Windeku ho aggiunto alla mia collezione una carta che posso utilizzare in battaglia in prima posizione in particolare quando l'elemento utilizzabile è Morte e quando la battaglia ha un requisito di mana medio-basso.
Avere un numero maggiore di catte utili in battaglia equivale ad avere un maggior numero di scelte strategiche possibili.
Ho ancora molte carte da acquistare e/o potenziare per tornare a giocare nelle leghe Champion di Splinterlands ma prima o poi ci riuscirò ;)
