As far as questions for Liotes, I am always one to ask about the direction or goals of such a project. So, mine would be what is the long term vision for Liotes? What are some short term goals? A lot of us may be interested in the financial side, but it's always interesting to know the direction & vision involved as well. It gives us all a more well rounded picture.

Our main short term goal is to be able to burn 100% of the supply of LEN tokens. Once we reach this, we will actually be able to consider rising the price of LEN tokens.
On a non financial level, we have several ideas that we want to achieve but we are not ready to speak more about it :-)

How do you join the Liotes project is a question I think many people ask.
There is not really one single step to join the project. It's a lose community where everybody can take part in at the level that they want. I would say to be really part of the community, you should be in the top 100 of the Liotes ranking. You can achieve that by staking LENM, by delegating HP to @liotes.voter or simply by taking part in our missions.

The Liotes project is built around an adventure that consist in colonizing a planet that we called Liotes. The word Liotes is derived from a greek god Apeliotes (god of the wind of the east). Since there is a lot of wind on Liotes, we found the name quite appropriate ;-)
This is really cool, because now with this explanation all the images of a red planet make sense since I realized a long time ago that I had one, but I had never understood why and the symbol / icon in blue that reminds me a lot of a weathervane!

We are no big fans of roadmaps because we prefer to deliver first instead of speaking of things that we don't know whether we will be able to achieve it. Therefore we stopped defining future roadmaps and we try to surprise our community members :-).
About our buy back system:
Whenever we sell LENM tokens, we power the proceeds of the sale up as hive power. This means that all the money that we collcted from LENM sales is still around. We then delegate this hive power out and we get dividends for doing that. A part of these dividends is actually used to buy back tokens and burn them. Like that we can limit the number of LEN tokens in circulation. Since the Hive Power that we delegate out is growing constantly, the money that we have for buy backs is also growing over time. We hope that by the end of 2023, we will make enough return so that we can burn the whole newly minted supply of LEN tokens.

Hmm I don't have much questions because I did my due diligence some time ago hehe! Maybe a question for the long timers, any there any expansions/additional projects that the Liotes team is planning to do other than what we currently know in the weekly updates?
We definitely have some plans but we are not sure whether we can translate them into reality. We prefer to keep them for us as long as we are not sure that we can deliver ;-)

Good question and at the same time very difficult to answer :-). Hopefully by then we will have more than 100K hive power on the liotes.fund and will see the price of LEN tokens going up constantly.

I have a silly question, in Liotes Ranking there is rank name. Does those rank give people certain benefit, or maybe in future there will be more benefits as our rank climbs up?
This is definitely not a silly question :-). Whenever our members reach a new rank, they get a little bonus in the form of LEN tokens. Also the higher the rank, the more love people get from our voting trails...

Hello, I just discovered this project. What I want to know is, which is better for those who are new to this project: owning LENM or delegating HP?
It really depends on how much you have at disposition. By delegating HP, you get daily LEN tokens dividends that you can then swap for LENM in our diesel pool. You can then either add liquidity to the diesel pool or stake your LENM to earn even more. Both ways work fine :-)
It appears to be interesting. I've given @liotes.voter 100 HP delegated. I'm hoping for an update to see if I can be included in the Liotes ranking with that delegation.
That's great. We updated the ranking normally every monday. So starting from next monday, you should see your name on the ranking. You will however get dividends starting from tomorrow for your delegation.

That's a very good question. It's working pretty well how we imagined it. We are just a bit disapointed about our second layer investments that were not so successful and that would actually finance our work in the long run. Overall however, considering the situation of the markets, we are pretty happy with things :-)

What will Liotes do in 2023 (yearly goal)? Is there something that the founder hopes for the future of Liotes?
Our main goal for 2023 is to reach the LEN supply summit. Meaning that we manage to burn as many tokens as there are issued. At the moment there are 1008 tokens minted every week and we manage to burn around 650. Our aim is to burn 1008.
Burn tokens equal to minted tokens 🤔 It's quite big I think... I hope Liotes can do that 👍 It's also a benefit to Investors. Keep going 💪

As of now, i think it is mainly to buy products/services in store or trade.
len Miner tokens - generate len and someone who owns lenm earns it.

How to be part of the liotes project and what are the new plans for 2023 are my questions.
Liotes is a loose community that everybody can take part in. I would say to be really part of the community, you should be in the top 100 of the Liotes ranking. If someone owns a fractional LENM token would that ever earn LEN?

That's avery good question and I'm not even sure about it. The chances to mint tokens with a fraction of LENM are very small. We suggest to own at least 10 LENM tokens to stake them. Otherwise, it's better to add the LENM paired with LEN in the diesel pool. There everybody gets dividends.

As I understand it, the Liotes project is all about tokenomics, manoeuvring by investing and investing in different forms of passive earnings. Are you planning another diesel pool?
Are you planning any additional uses for the Len token?
Lately I am looking into two Burn2vote projects... UPME and Helios ...
You describe the project quite well. There is also this lore with the planet that we want to work a bit more on :-). At the moment we don't plan another diesel pool because we want to make sure that people get enough rewards in this one first :-)
We are quite familiar with these Burn2vote projects. We are a bit torn because they could generate quite a lot of controversy. A lot of people find any way to purchasing votes being against the principles of the blockchain.
We are always thinking about new use cases but there is no concrete thing that we can share yet :-)
It's true what you say about Burn2vote, I was wondering the same thing. But that's the way, on a similar principle, every vote trail works. It doesn't bother me if it's the same for everybody, but it bothers me the duplicitous people who allow some things and not others.
Really, we have forgotten the planet story a little bit. But I have said once before that this should be like a game. You invest in a 3D printer (staking) and it makes assets for you - some tokens/value/whatever that you then go on to do something with. It can be very small to start with, like a settlement that grows slowly...

It has been awhile since we have heard from the team that landed on Lenopolis. I remember someone by the name of Tania (a team lead) providing an update related to the 9 domes that were being built.
Just wondering what happened since then.....
The latest update that we recieved from liotes was on 15th of november. Hopefully we will get some news soon :-)

When you climb in the liotes ranking, it has several benefits. If you get to the rank of wind maker or above, you get a little bonus in the form of LEN tokens. Also if you are in the top 40, your posts will get upvotes from our liotes.voter account.

Liotes team find the most interesting?
It's pretty difficult to single one project out. There are many great ones but also most of them have some negative sides:-). I couldn't point out the perfect project I believe.

Given the current really bearish outlook (and the continued expectation that it will persist through 2023), what is the strategy that Liotes is planning to employ?
Also, seeing as how Splinterlands seems to be in quite a bit of trouble (regardless of what the team says, I think it's better to just take everything with a pinch of salt unless the full financials are revealed), do you guys have any plan if the elephant in the room collapses and brings down HIVE with it? 😱
I mean, let's not kid ourselves, the daily active accounts transacting on HIVE has Splinterlands garnering > 10x the combined accounts of everything in HIVE (that includes all the blogging). Even assuming dappradar isn't that accurate, it still forms a major part of the HIVE ecosystem. 😅

Man, you can't imagine how often we talked about the elephant in the room with Zoltan... I think that the Splinterlands company has a real money issue. That is why they try to do everything to give value to DEC because they need a high DEC value to pay their salaries...
We can't influence the market but we believe that we are quite market resistent in respect to Hive. All the hive that we ever generated is still on our accounts and is backing our tokens. It's possible that hive will go down even more but we are confident that we will be able to keep the value of LEN and LENM close to todays levels in terms of Hive.
Thanks for your questions and thoughts... It's great to see rational and open-minded comments... As Achim said, we are "exposed" to HIVE, by that's our decision from the beginning... If HIVE goes down, LEN/LENM will do the same, if it goes up, we will go up too...
Unfortunately, there is no safe-heaven in any token (nor fiat) at this moment... But, I suppose that you are aware of that too...

Why the mission or the planet? It is something that confused me in the origins. I thought it was a game but I didn't understand how to play it.
The story behind the project is about colonizing Liotes. We use the wind energy on the surface with LENM to transform it into energy and to build the settlement. So in a way it's not really a game but a kind of adventure :-)

Very interesting question indeed :-). I kind of stopped thinking too much in advance, but the overal idea is build something here. The way Liotes is concieved is that the project growth will become more and more important over time. We have a fixed amount of LEN produced every day but a growing fund that generates interests. A fixed amount of these interests is used to buy back LEN. So in the long run the value of LEN should grow. It's a slow process but it works the way we want :-). Of course we need to generate curation rewards with this fund and we want to help our community to grow as much as possible. It's a win-win I believe :-)

I know I'm already late with all the deadlines on questions, I just got a little sick these 3 days... On the plus side, I had to read all the comments and read all the answers to the questions. 😜
Also, 2 weeks ago, I reviewed the entire LIOTES white paper. Once again, I realized that I was wasting my time, not always doing it to begin with). By the way, judging by the questions here, I'm not the only one...
Basically, I have 1 question that I was interested in (and to which I probably know the answer), but I want to hear your perspective. It concerns the ranking of Liotes.
Why in the calculation of the Liotes ranking points only LENM participates, but not the LEN itself?

There are several reasons behind that. We actually want to make sure that LEN tokens are circulating so that we can buy them back and also burn. If we rewarded people for keeping LEN, people would accumulate them and it wouldn't being that good for the ecosystem. Also we would favorise stakers of LENM twice. By counting their LENM and also the LEN that they earn for staking LENM.

I'm rather late to read this so I've just been reading the questions and answers on the comments. I must admit to have not taken time to check more about the project but through this edition, I've learned a lot more. Thanks Liotes team for all that you do!
