I believe that like most, I met the hive through Splinterlands. Splinter was my first contact with the whole web3, blockchain, cryptocurrencies, all these terms started to appear precisely with that, it was all new to me.

So, when I started to understand better, I really enjoyed creating posts and interacting with the community, and I always wanted to get involved with something related to games and at hive I managed to make this dream come true!

Now just run after more evolution and knowledge!

When you think, Hive is really perfect for games. The marketing platform and exchanges for gaming tokens are already built and integrated with the hive account!

For sure, this ecosystem where everything is connected is something incredible that I had never seen, so if you are very good in some area, you can simply migrate part of this resource to another place that needs to evolve and all that with a few clicks!

I discovered it through Sebcam who had his blog on Hive and I was intrigued by how it was working. Interesting that you found out about it through a book.

Splinterlands was my gateway to the Hive universe. If I remember correctly it was a little over a year ago. My only regret of all is... not having arrived sooner in this wonderful ecosystem.

I found Hive when searching for a Free-to-play but Play-to-earn game... There are many lists of games on Youtube and websites. Then, I found Splinterlands when it was just on Beta Pack.

I checked all games and also the blockchain. I found a Youtube that told me about Hive with an interesting way to pay the transaction fee and how to withdraw also introduced Hive.blog too. With experience being a blogger, I thought I can make a good opportunity in Hive.

After 2-3 days learn about the blockchain and Splinterlands. I joined hive officially from being a Splinterlands player.

I discovered Hive 1 day after I started playing Splinterlands. I was looking at how to get SPS airdrop points and one of the criteria was Splintertalk tokens. So I went to check how to get SPT and thereafter I found the Hive community!

I have been involved with online marketing off and on for twenty years or more. A couple of years ago, my interest was renewed and went back to some of the old programs I had been involved with. One of them was ClickTrackProfit run by @jongolson. When I looked deeper into the program, I discovered that the focus had changed and they were promoting the Hive Blockchain. I joined Hive then and am still here. And yes, I got involved with Splinterlands, as well.

The CTP team did a great job to onboard some online marketers. It's nice to see that after so much time, many of them are still on Hive!

Hahaha, I never would have thought you could discover about Hive from a book. But apparently it works! Maybe we need a banner ad.))

I have a "unique" story. I found out about Hive through Splinterlands. 😜 The funny thing is that it took me a very long time to get into Hive. At first, it took me 2 months to figure out how to log into Splinterlands. Because I was switching from WAX and buying cards there to flip to Hive. But they weren't showing up in the game... 😅 When I did get it done and played 1 game, it became my favorite blockchain game.

Then I decided to see what else was on Hive and found out it was pay blogs. I was impressed with it, but I put it off again for a couple of months. I thought the blockchain blogs were all professional bloggers. 😅 It was somewhat exciting for a newbie to enter the pro field. Yeah, and what is there to write about?

Next came the first shit post in 2–3 sentences with a photo, but with deep thoughts, as I thought at the time. 😅😅 I wasn't expecting anything at all, but I got a dime. Wow! I thought about it and decided to get a better handle on it. And by the way, it was only thanks to Actifit that I started posting all the time. Which was just demanding it. So gradually I started posting longer and longer Actifit reports, and then full-fledged posts.

In general, it was a long way, but I do not regret it!

Thanks a lot for sharing your journey. Similarly, it took me a lot of time to actually dare to post stuff and then again it took a lot of time and effort to make my first videos. It's great to see how we evolve and I believe hive is a great place to go out of our comfort zone :-)

You then tried to rent cards and was out of Resource credits and thus had to learn about Hive Power.

If you look at my profile (in Ecency) you will see the date 13 August 2016. Well, at that time there was no Hive but Steemit. I had an account for two years and I just watched, I didn't really understand what it was about. Then I started posting slowly and as a newbie, I didn't get anything, and I was posting, in the beginning, just photos, mainly flowers 😁:).
Later, when DTube appeared, as the first video hosting app, I started posting my old videos, there are about 200 of them there now, but they are not being played now because DTube is deleting the less visited content. Well, then the acquisition of Steemit by Justin Sun happened and I went to Hive. The rest is more or less known.

I was involved with ClickTrackProfit a very long time ago. Then stopped doing anything with it. Many years pasted and I retired and was looking through some of the old online programs that I had been involved with. Many had went belly up but then I noticed that ClickTrackProfit was still around and now had CTPTalk.com on the Hive Blockchain. I was very interested in Crypto and thought this would be a very good way of learning more about it without investing a whole lot. I have now been on Hive for almost two years.

I discovered HIVE by @jongolson and @blainjones in their page Click Track Profit, I am a fan of Traffic Exchanges, and I have years using them, here in HIVE I met @flaxz who gave me the opportunity to be a moderator of the community chat and here I am, posting daily and leaving my earnings as an investment.

Gaming, NFT, Play To Earn and Crypto unite to become Splinterlands. That's what brought me to Hive. Lacking RC in the middle of the game, I then became aware of what Hive was. Writing and fulfilling the splinterlands weekly challenge that brought me this far. 😉

i was introduced via clicktrackprofit (ctptalk).
Firstly i did ignore, but after few mails i did join hive via ecency.
But found it very difficult navigating and left it for few weeks and then finally i posted a comment in one of jon's post (which was past 7 days, so no reply)
later started commenting on contest posts within ctptalk and won a decent ctp.
Finally did my first post and since then been doing posts almost everyday.
Had a learning curve, but its worth the time and effort i have put in.

Wow, nice to see so many who have been onboarded on Hive via Splinterlands started poking around the Hive ecosystem outside Splinterlands!

As for me, I got on the other blockchain shortly after @jongolson. I remember he was very excited about it and kept sharing, and after a while, I decided to check it out. I was one of the lucky ones for whatever reason. I got my account in only 3 days, which was very fast by those standards.

One of the reasons why I'll always consider the CTP tribe my home, no matter where my path leads me on Hive.

Since the beginning of 2008 I turned to the internet to find ways of making money online. After a couple of years a new site launched called Click Track Profit (CTP), a training and marketing platform that put a good deal of focus on traffic exchanges. After some years of working with this company Paypal pulled a dirty move and changed the industry for ever.

After the collaps of the company one of the original owners Jon partnered up with Blain and relaunched CTP with the focus switching from TE's to cryptocurrency focusing on Hive, Steem at the time, do to the decentralized platform and the easy ability to earn crypto through content creation. Most likely I would have never heard of Hive if not for CTP being I had the mind set of many other people out there that crypto was very volatile and had no interest in it at all.

CTP onboarded many people to this blockchain, but not too many of them stayed... But, it's the case with other onboarding platforms too... As it's not easy to grasp how HIVE works, many people quit before even trying it...

It's nice to see you still kicking and creating!!

That's a very fun tale. I first found the old-blockchain because of the game NextColony. I played it for a few months, made some posts on the blockchain, then the game closed down and I've totally forgot about this whole stuff.

Then, in 2021, I've started hearing about Splinterlands, joined Hive, started posting again... and a few months later I was "Waaait a minute, I already did this in the past! I remember about a website in which I posted and got 50% of the rewards!". It was quite the discovery and I realized that I was very, very stupid for not remembering about this earlier :P
