We are looking for a name

▶️ Watch on 3Speak

It's wednesday and it's mission time on Liotes. Today, we would like you to help us find a name.

As you know Commander Tarkov on the Arch 62 sends us regular reports about the terraforming of Liotes. The Liotes Mills that have been deployed at the surface of the planet are producing energy. This energy is then used to melt the sand on the surface in a kind of opaque glass. This material is then used by the 3-D printers to create the settlement on Liotes.

@solymi suggested that we should find a name for this building material and I think it's a great idea...

The Liotes Mission

By taking part in the Liotes missions, you can win credits that will help you to increase your score and your title in the Liotes Ranking.

Today's challenge

To take part in the challenge you simply have to give us one or several suggestions how we could call this opaque glass, this building material. Write your suggestion as a comment below this post.

Everybody who submits a suggestion will get 5 credits. Suggesting several names won't give you more credits. If we decide to pick your suggestion for the name of the building material, you will get 10 additional credits!

We are very grateful if you enter the challenge within 24 hours after the post is published. We will try to count entries up to 36 hours after publication.

Here are my suggestions:

  1. Blur (Since opaque glass blurs things)
  2. Frost (Based on the frosted appearance)
  3. Obscurium (A play on the word obscure)

I mean it would seem apparent that it should be named for the man that discovered the valuable material right? I propose "Tarkovium" as the name.

I like this idea to attribute it to the person who discovered it!

Lionyx

Lionyx is the only form of silica stable at the Liotes's surface. No light shines through lionix, it is opaque 💎

Sand Crystals

It was the only thing I could really think of since glass is made from sand.

If we translate opaque glass in esperanto we get "maldiafana vitro" if we try to get a nice word out of this it could be maldivit or vitrofan I think I would go with the first Maldivit.

Hm... I'm thinking of connection Liotes plus another word ... Libuilder (Liotes+builder)? Buildes (Builder+Liotes)? Creates (Create +Liotes)? CreLiot? or just Buildoser maybe? 😎
