Liotes News - Delegating to utopis and almost top 20 HE Witness
This week we have tried something new. The income from the delegation of the hive power of the liotes fund is the main income source of the project. We are always looking for ways to increase the return of these delegations. This week in discord we saw @chronocrypto post that it's now possible to delegate hive power to @utopis with around 18% APR. This would actually give a boost to our earnings and we decided to give it a try. We delegated 250 HP and we will see what kind of return this brings. If it's above what we get so far, we might delegate more. More return will mean more money to work with for the Liotes project.
After the post with our BEE plan, we got some votes for our hive-engine witness node. We are now in 22nd place. Only two places behind the consensus witnesses. Maybe one day we will get there :-)
In the liotes ranking @thegcc only needs one more point to become the next Wind Maker!

Is there a difference in being a consensus witness for HE or not?

It works according to similar principles. If you are not consensus witness, you are kind of backup witness and you get to mint a block from time to time. The advantage on HE is that there less witnesses and even for backup witnesses there are more blocks minted. The negative side is that the BEE's you get isn't that impressive for running a HE witness :-)
Oh is the current state of the HE witness a profit or break-even right now? I know there are statistics about the earnings for Hive Witnesses but I am not sure if someone keeps track of it for Hive Engine.

I can't tell you precisely. I think that we are making a very small profit being a backup witness. As a consensus witness, it would probably look differently.

This is great news about finding a way to increase the Liotes project return by delegating to the Utopis project. Also, congratulations for moving up in rank on the HE witness list. Hopefully you will move up into the top 20 before the end of the month if not before.
Well, it's a long way into the top 20 and it's kind out of our control. Hopefully we will get there eventually.
