While creating this Liotes Mission, I actually made a mistake on 3speak and posted the video on my personal account. You can watch the video here. To make sure that people find this mission, I decided to create a separate post where you can leave your comments.
The Challenge this Week
Today, we would like to see what you plan to do regarding the game that is being built by the team behind Splinterlands. We are talking about Genesis League Soccer (GLS). According to the roadmap, there should be a first playable version of this game in Q2 2023 which is actually not that far away!
What are your plans regarding this game? Do you plan to play GLS? Do you have some GLX tokens already? Do you plan to run a validator node? What strategies do you have for the game and its economy?

I honestly haven't planned anything for the game but I have a little amount of GLX staked and staking its earnings too. It would be interesting to read what others are intending to do when the game rolls out.
There are quite interesting opinions about this game. I believe most people haven't really figured out whether to take part or not.
Maybe most will decide when the game comes out :)

To tell you the truth at the moment I don't have any plans for GLS. Especially since now I've been playing a bit of Terracore and Splinterforge, there isn't much time left to do things kkkkk
So, for now I'll continue with these games and the posts here on hive, but maybe in the future I'll take a closer look at GLS.

I don't know if I'll play the game, but I invested in GLX tokens and have been growing my stake.

I'm staking as many tokens as possible. These price levels are too undervalued IMHO. With the launch of the game, I'll decide if I should convert my staked tokens into NFTs or not .For now, I just stake the tokens :)
I think it's a good strategy just to stake and get these nice APR's :-)

I'm staking GLX and GMLSPA packs also. I'll probably hold on to packs for a while, they earn ~0.6 GLX/day when staked, still for about 2 months.
I just recently bought more packs since they were about 5.5 HIVE at the secondary market(H-E). The current ask is 6.6 which is much lower than buying from the site. I'm also planning to move some of my SPS to GLX since I did it and vice versa when GLX was on the rise and SPS wasn't.
Excited about the game but I think I'll watch it from the sidelines for a while before deciding what to do with the packs and whether to jump in or not.
It's a good idea to purchase packs form HE and then get staking rewards on them. Like that the APR for holding packs must be much more interesting. I might do that as well :-)

I have staked GLX and will probably build up my stake to 3000-4000 GLX staked.
I’m not going to play the game most likely and I’m currently selling the GLGT tokens to be able to get a bit more GLX.
I also have a couple hundred GLX in liquidity in diesel pools.
I will wait with the liquidity pools when they will get decent rewards :-)
Well, I’m ok getting a part of the 0,25% swap fees. The biggest benefit is that I can take it out of the pool in seconds, while unstaking inside the game takes several weeks to complete.
That's true. Liquidity in diesel pools allow a lot of flexibility.

I've been getting the airdrop, and at the beginning, when prices were high, I was selling everything. Now I started staking some of it. Let's see where this goes...
I did a bit the same. I had a bigger sale percentage at the beginning and now I lowered it to 10%.

I'll have my hands full on land (although more in regard to resources than time, I believe), so it's unlikely that I'll play the game. Plus, I have a feeling I'll probably play a little bit of SoulKeep. The diesel pools, that's a different matter, and I will probably use them.
The diesel pools with rewards will probably very interesting. Especially when we have some GLX already. I will probably do that as well.

Hmm I actually sell my GLX every week. I think converting them to Hive or HBD or even SPS is more practical for me.
It's good to set priorities and direct value towards that. I think it's a good strategy.

I am staking and trying to grow my GLX stack. So far it is very small though.. I plan to first buy some SPS and also I want to play the game and grow my GLX card collection. As they will be alpha cards, I would like to get as many as possible.
I learned from SL that it can be very profitable to be in early and since the team has proven their competence, I probably dedicate more money and time to GLS than to other games.

I don't really play any games on HIVE so I can almost definitely say I have no plans at all for GLS. :)
It's good to define what your priorities are and if you have no affinities with games, it's better to put your energy into other places :-)

I have several plans: a) invest in the token and b) create content about the game.
I'm still curious about how the game will work, its mechanics, and how it will link to MLS.
For example, how relevant the positions and the actual stats of the players will be.

I will probably be passively involved in this game, if at all. There are so many up and coming Hive games nowadays that one can pick and choose. I'm not much of a football fan so I might pass up this one.

I got in early during the first few days.
Out of my current stake of 11+k GLX, I am just accumulating and compounding my stake based on the current APR.
Should it succeed, I would probably see a much bigger ROI based on what I'm building up now. However, I have already broken even having gotten in early when the APR was insane and prices were sky high.
As for the game itself, I am still on the fence and will probably wait till it launches.

i got GLX around 600 when opening account. And I stake until waiting for the right moment to sell it. still waiting for how exciting it will be when you can play this game. But I think that if at the moment of the world cup this game could be played then maybe people would still be in the happy mood of this football sports game
I think that football has a lot of adepts and fans. Since there are real players and clubs involved, this game could attract a bigger audience. I'm looking forward to seeing how it will evolve.

I have no idea about that. I checked for this token in my HE wallet and noticed that I have 0.014 GLX 😁
Then I checked the history and see that I get regularly 0.001 GLX from he-indexrewards. Not sure why, because I play only Rising Star. Or, maybe I'm getting it from some drips? 🤔
If you own some index tokens, you get daily rewards in GLX.

I have a validator node and 100 packs. So Planning for supporting infrastructure and will check out the beta and see if it is playable. Generally pouring any earnings back into the game until launch and it will be a high risk high reward type scenario. GLGT at .05 gives a 5.00 discount on packs. If the game goes to the moon then those tokens will 100X. Otherwise they will be usable for maybe equipment and potions in the game.

You went in quite strongly! I bought about 13 packs and I like to get more GLX from them. Even in USA soccer is quite popular and there are thousands of spectators watching the games. If only a percentage of them decide to play the game... it could really become interesting.

Not having much of an interest in Soccer, I did stake some tokens, but in general my plan is to flip them into Hive or Splinterlands assets.
I have so much assets in SL that I try not to add more to it but I think it's a decent strategy to improve your situation in SL

At the moment I don't intend to play the GLX due to lack of time, but I currently have 310 GLX tokens, maybe in the future if I get a little more free time, I'll play the game, for now I'm just staking.
It's a good idea to stake the tokens. You never know whether it could become a huge success :-)

At this point I'm just collecting GLX from the airdrop and staking it. I've got 110 packs so I'm sure I will try the game out to some degree, but I doubt I will go full bore into it like I have with Splinterlands. I will probably end up just renting out my cards and collecting whatever passive income I can get off of it.
Then again, if the game turns out to be really fun to play, I could get sucked into building a "franchise". We'll see. Too early to think much about it yet. For me anyway...

It is too early to get any conclusion about the future game... At this moment, we have tokens, packs that are stakeable, and a nice APR... The big advantage is that the value of the tokens (and packs) can't go too much lower, so I think that there are no doubts about what to do... :)
