What type of content do you like to consume?

what type of content.jpg

The great thing about Hive is that you have the possibility to upload many different types of content to the blockchain. Of course, there are the normal text posts but you can also upload videos over 3speak, podcasts and even short form messages over Threads or dBuzz.

It would be interesting to know what people like most? What type of content do you like to consume? Why?

A podcast about what news in the hive community or if there's no news in the hive, you can take a topic from another blockchain that is eye-catching.

Podcast main part:

  • Share the topic in summary (games, news, or DeFi)
  • Review it by yourself and get a review from another person too

There is too much news in the cryptocurrency community @.@ It's hard to get a good one. Sometimes we even lose new project news @.@

Yes, and reading all of that takes time. A podcast for me is a good one as I usually just play Achim's 3speak and hear it while I'm doing my work too.

I'm almost strictly blockchain stuff. This industry is just growing so fast and there's so much going on on literally a daily basis that if I don't stay on top of things, I feel like I'm getting behind. It's really difficult to catch up on everything if you tune out for a few days. Even coming here every day there are a lot of things I'm not as much up to speed on as I probably should be.

That said, you do need to try and relax a little bit and have some fun. If every day is a grind then it becomes work so...you have to be willing to at least find a couple different avenues where you feel like you can leave it all behind for a few hours.

That's why I play Splinterlands and dCity and dCrops. I'm kind of killing two birds with one stone. I get to tune out of the markets and all the negativity while still building my crypto portfolio.

Huh... I completely got you here... I took a longer vacation this year, and I'm so behind on everything... Have a feeling that I will need 3 months to get back... :)

I mainly consume text content (both on Hive and in the web2 like Reddit), as the little free time I have is usually when I'm at the office, reading stuff on the mobile phone.

I can't put earphones to hear a podcast or watch videos, but I can easily read something on the phone for a few minutes :D

When I'm at home (and would be able to watch videos), I prefer to spend the time with my family, doing house chores, or creating my own content.

I'm similar to you... I like to read stuff more than watching videos, as I can "skim" the content and jump all over the post... :)

When I'm on desktop, I mostly consume long form content.

When I'm on mobile, I mostly consume short form content.

The actual categories of content are very broad and range from video games to crypto to cooking.

I also love videos and podcasts.

I have to admit that I got a bit lazy with content creation and focused more on stuff behind the scenes... And regarding video content, I almost stopped with that... Maybe one day I will go for it again... :)

At the moment, I only create videos with RS pack openings on my gaming account...

I personally like a bit of everything. My favorite topics: Sweepstakes, of course, is the best way to publicize a project and get people involved.
The photography, there is an impressive quality in Hive.
Hive Games, is a sector that is growing a lot.
And finally the gardening and landscaping that I love.

I'm always reading when I can, but could use more podcasts. I spend a lot of time in the car driving, and podcasts would really work for me, but still haven't seen that many posted on Hive.

I mainly prefer the text posts with pictures. This allows me to take my time and come back to it if needed to finish reading. My second preference is video however for these I need to allocate time depending on the length of the video. I sometimes watch videos that are over 10 minutes but not very often. On the other hand, the very short text post with only one or two photos I usually skip over since there is not that much value provided in those short posts. Take care.

On the Hive blockchain I like to read or skim blog posts about Hive-related developments. Now that I've got hooked on Splinterlands, I enjoy reading about both the gaming side and the earning side.

I watch a few videos on 3Speak such as CryptoManiacs and video updates by @achim03 which are enjoyably up-beat and very useful (especially the recent one about liquidity pools) - thanks again for that one!

As for short-form posts, last week I spent quite a bit of time checking out Liketu and Leo threads. I expect I will pop onto those sites from time to time.

For myself, videos can be tricky as they consume more time... If the video isn't quality, I regret my time spent on it... With text posts, it's easier as I can skim the content before reading the whole post...

Actually, I consume all kinds of content 😜. As long as the title or introduction catches my attention. It can be the arts, music, business, crypto, sports, games, food, nature, travel, just about anything.

Outside of HIVE, my daily news consumption pattern is similar too. I use feedly to aggregate 20+ different sites to bring all the news to me. I'll scroll through all the articles and read those which catch my eye.

Thankfully, I read pretty quickly 🤣.

I more or less prefer shorter content. If I read something for more than 5 minutes my attention drops, it has to be really interesting to keep going. It's the same with videos, presentations, and memes/jokes. I can't stand video vlogs where a dude spends an hour explaining the meaning of life or something like that.
In short, shorter content has something to attract me. If it's even more interesting, then I'll look for resources to learn from.
