We Spent a Large Part of the Morning Doing a Household Project

We were going to cook today and instead we chose to defrost the freezer.
My parents bought an upright freezer many years ago.
It still works really well but it needs to be defrosted which is a good two hour project.
That is without taking everything out of it and then putting it all back when it's done.
But when it was done it was way easier to fit the food back in there.
So now I am doing my online work.
And on to my weekly progress update.

Hive Power

I chose to buy Hive with my HBD while it is still under $0.40 USD each.
I withdrew the HBD from savings a few days ago and bought the Hive today.
So I am going to power up 80 of the Hive that I bought and deposit the rest to Hive Engine to buy more HE-INDEX tomorrow.

Sent $13.46 to Blocktrades.us to get Hive tokens
Received 36.885 Hive tokens
Have 0.00611938 in Hive Wallet
Used Swap feature on HivePay.io to deposit 36.811Hive into Hive Engine after a fee of 0.074 Hive for Swap.Hive

And after a few more trades, I had 38.39788117 Swap.Hive to reinvest
Divided them in half to buy more HE-INDEX and LISTNERDS

With my small account, I am also doing the same thing. Swapping all my HBD for HIVE due to the latter's current low price. I am thinking that a time like this is rare and I better take the opportunity to grow my HIVE. As for HBD, I am thinking to start saving once I reached the Dolphin status. However, on second thought, after reading geekgirl's post this morning about HBD, I am now thinking that either I will buy 100 HBD as 2023 starts and hold it for 7 years, or from now on, I will just keep saving the HBD I earn both from creating and curating content.

I would rather have the HP growing right now so I can curate and be active and give better upvotes.
That sounds like an interesting idea. Getting a bunch of HBD all at once and just letting it sit for several years.

Yeah, geekgirl in her article argues that the 20% interest is actually similar to printing new money. And who doesn't want to have such a capability, which is considered illegal in traditional finance?😅

On second thought, I wonder why is it legal for the government to print money out of nothing and yet illegal for us. Does it mean that one law applies to us and the same law exempts them? Isn't that somehow arbitrary and a double standard? Just sharing my wild thoughts. 🤦🤣
