Monday Laundry Day!

The last day I did laundry at the apartment was two days before the movers came in to get the appliances and rest of the furniture. That was on the 19th of September and that wash machine is now in storage. Yeah we have alot of clothes and that's after having gotten rid of some.

Now I am getting used to the machines here at the house. They are stackable space saver machines. The up side is that I don't have to go to a laundromat to do my laundry. I just need to do more smaller loads of clothes. Again, I am happy to not have to leave the house to wash and dry my clothes.

Dad has clotheslines in the basement. I hung our bedsheets on them to dry. When we are living in our house down in Illinois the sub division we were in had a Home Owners Association and they were a pain in the rear. We were not allowed to have clotheslines outside to hang our clothes in the fresh air. In the apartment we had clothes racks on wheels and hung a bunch of clothes on there to dry on hangers but we couldn't hang sheets and pillow cases. So I started doing laundry early this morning and the sheets were the first load done. They are still drying downstairs. Getting used to the house again after not having been living here since I was in my mid-20s.

The other night I made a joke to Roy about how we are living upstairs like Mike and Gloria. And asked if that means he is the meathead. LOL Their house was bigger than this one. That show was hilariously funny and sadly could not be on the air now.

Just found out a little while ago that the mechanic hasn't been able to figure out what is going on with my car. Had to take it back in on Friday because the speedometer and odometer were not working. 💩💩 They have been working on it for 3 hours already today and still can't figure it out. One issue was that the speed sensor wasn't working and there is some kind of short somewhere. Good thing Roy talks to them cuz I wouldn't have any idea. I am not sure I'd even want to have a car if I was by myself. So we won't have my little Nissan Sentra back for sure today and maybe even tomorrow.
