LOLZ Project Update

Week two of the LOLZ project is in the books, so lets go ahead and put out another project update.

Mining Update

We have now mined over 3000 LOLZ tokens. Our mining rate took a big drop after the last threshold increase, but is back to around 250 LOLZ per day and growing.

You can check how much has been mined by going to @lolzbot's Hive Engine wallet. @lolzbot started with 100,000 LOLZ so if you subtract its current LOLZ holdings from 100,000 you can see how much has been mined.

At the current rate we will likely cross into the 4000 LOLZ mined rate in around 4 more days at which point we will be increasing the mining thresholds again. We plan to make one more threshold increase at 8000 mined but do not plan to increase the thresholds beyond that.

We have managed to get our HP moved around and the Resource Credits on the @lolzbot is good to go for now. We will likely add the error messages back in soon if our RC stays in good shape.

New Jokes Tuesday

This is Tuesday, so that means we released a slug of new jokes. We hope that after this week's LOLZ Joke Challenge we will have enough jokes from the Hive community to drop the Reddit jokes and go with 100% LOLZ community contributed jokes. Be sure to suggest some jokes and earn some LOLZ for your contributions!

LOLZ Curation

As we posted a few days ago, our LOLZ curation bot is live and up-voting random users of the !LOLZ command. Since that post, we have initiated tribal curation in a number of tribes where we believed automated curation was accepted.

Some things we looked at as we added the initial tribes to our curation bot.

• Does the Tribe actively discourage automated voting?
• Does the Tribe encourage curation trails or other forms of auto-curation?
• Can staked tokens be delegated?
• And finally, did the LOLZ Project team have an existing stake in the Tribe?

These are just the Tribes we have added so far and we plan to add additional Tribes in the coming days.

We are not adding curation to ProofofBrain at this time because we know that tribe does not encourage automated voting. We may reach out to @proofofbrainio and see if we can get a special ok to add POB to our curation bot since the bot is triggered by a person with a brain using the !LOLZ command.

Getting the curation bot launched was key to making progress on our defi plans. Now that it the bot is alive, we can examine the returns we will be able to make, and in return, offer to our delegators.

But to be sure, our defi plans will add value to the LOLZ token and its holders.
