Freedom Comes With A Price

Freedom Comes With A Price lordneroo.jpg

Are you willing to pay?

This post may come across as a mini rant, but it's actually not. The realization that the vast majority of internet users nowadays are too lazy to do some digging and opt for much better alternatives is what made me do it. Who cares if the world is progressing? The comfort zone is where ambition goes to retire they say, but is seems that it's actually too beautiful of a place for people to step out of it and grow.

It's 2022 and I still can't onboard my non-crypto friends and relatives. I totally get it if someone does not feel comfortable investing their hard-earned funds in a space that's still quite volatile, but there are numerous ways to earn free crypto and get started with little to no effort these days.

It still baffles me how the same people who spend countless hours a day on Facebook and Instagram cannot afford to spend time on places like Hive, Noise.Cash, Read.Cash, Torum, Publish0x, Odysee, etc. Considering the fact that the majority of those are working low-paying, lousy jobs that barely provide enough for their basic needs, it gets even weirder. I've reached the conclusion that these people are too lazy to explore something new, even from the comfort of their sofas.

Let alone store safely and manage all those different passwords and keys. I mean don't get me wrong, I've been around for years and I'm still a noob; there's just so much going on here and too much to keep up with and learn. But you don't need to be an expert to bag some free crypto and start building your wealth. No risks involved whatsoever.

Just show up.

Ain't nobody got time for that. Sounds interesting but I'm currently too busy getting brainwashed and consuming trash content on TV.

Last night I visited a good friend of mine who, like most Greeks these days, is in a relatively bad financial situation. After working for four years in the United Kingdom, he had to return home due to family reasons. It must feel really good to be back together with your loved ones after such a long time, but I think we can all agree that working harder only to make less than half the money one used to make isn't exactly the best feeling in the world.

My buddy is a passionate gamer who has been spending at least a couple hours a day playing FPS games all these years, so it goes without saying that he could have been providing tons of valuable content on Hive and earning a bunch of different tokens for it. He also knows I've been having a good time here for years now, so it's not a matter of trust nor awareness. I don't even know what to call it at this point.

The fact that he doesn't even have to go out of his way in order to produce and monetize said content makes it all the more crazy. People like my dude refuse free money and then whine about the state of the global economy.

Just record your screen while playing the damn thing, dude! Then write a paragraph, add a few tags, hit the publish button and share your link on a couple platforms. That's all. Fifteen minutes of your time would do.

Wait, a couple more platforms? That sounds like a lot of work. How am I going to manage all those accounts and keep track of everything?

That's where I gave up again for the tenth time. I love helping out a friend if I can, but this conversation gave me familiar vibes and I'm no longer in the mood. I know for a fact that even if he joins, he will be complaining about post rewards a couple days down the road. No need to mention what happens when the real bear kicks in. I will probably have to apologize for ''wasting his time''.

This is pretty much what I have to deal with every time I try to help my people boost their finances by farming, stacking and staking free crypto. I enter a conversation with nothing to gain and end up wasting my time and risking my sanity. It is what it is, maybe it's still too early in the game.

However, this is not just about crypto. This is the sole reason why we can't have nice things. It's the reason why people won't get out of toxic relationships. It's this sort of attitude that has even led to widespread government corruption. Exploring new and better options sounds like a lot of work, and we don't like ''risks''. More of the same, please.

That sums it all up for now.

Never forget!

I see the same behavior in people around me, they simply gave up and don't want to learn anymore. What? Has already the involution started in your brain and body? Well, it seems that for some people it has and I see them degrading instead of wanting more, doing better, and trying to make something in this world for those coming after us. I simply cannot understand such attitudes...

It's such a pity, especially considering that we live in an era where vast amounts of knowledge are freely available with the click of a button.

Haha...i get your frustration because I have been in a similar position myself. Every time I try to onboard someone they bug me with many questions while doing the barest minimum. It is just crazy knowing that you are just trying to help this person. Well, it is what it is--people are lazy. It's just something I have come to terms with and maybe they deserve to suffer. If you aren't willing to do the barest minimum to improve your life then maybe you deserve to suffer. The world won't a low down for you or anyone.

Prepare with counter-questions.
Friend: "What makes this bitcoin thing valuable?"
You: "What makes USD valuable?"

A simple one, but you get the idea.

Thanks for reading!

Ya, it's infuriating to see people in need of extra income not willing to even try making a few bucks from home with zero risk. Doesn't make sense!

I saw this pattern my entire life. People over a certain age threshold simply refuse to learn anything new, let alone things that are different than the things they already know. And I didn't mention the thing that go AGAINST the existing beliefs.

Our target audience is not people in our own generation, but those in the next. They are the people who are capable of learning, and they have the necessary numbers for this market to grow.

Truer words have never been spoken.

Riding the same boat. Not sure if things will change if I can show them the numbers after a year and give them practical guides,

Appreciate you using ListNerds to promote this post :)

But you hit the nail on the head...Just show up!

Someone who will spend the time and effort on Facebook or Tiktok, continues to feed the beast. Meanwhile we can put in the effort here, and potentially be rewarded. No brainer in my opinion.

It'll take time for people to jump on board...But slowly, people are waking up!

Thank you for taking the time to check this out, much appreciated.

It was my first time using ListNerds - just discovered the platform yesterday and had to give it a go. Gonna need to stack more CTP and MAIL, it's a really exciting project.

I do think it's a matter of time before the masses start flocking into the space, let's keep spreading the word to speed things up :)

Have a good one!
