Traffic Jams

The long road.

Lately I have been spending so much time caught up in traffic jams on my way to the office on a daily basis, that I'm starting to think I should somehow find a way to take advantage of it. I waste approximately 150 minutes per day sitting in my car doing nothing, and there are no words to describe how badly it pisses me off. I do not even want to do the math and see how many hours I end up wasting away like that on a monthly basis, but I have a curious mind that does all sorts of calculations on default; can't help it.

What can I say though, it is what it is.

You can't have it all. My day job is very demanding and time-consuming, but at the same time comes with privileges of all kinds, and considering that I reside in a country with endless economic problems and huge unemployment rates, I should be thankful I do have this job in the first place. But man, having to wake up 3 hours earlier and drive 46 kilometers in first gear every single day feels like such a terrible waste of my precious time.

Not to mention the amounts of gas included that I have to pay from my own salary just to get to work and the engine damage done. Sometimes I really wonder if it's all worth it.

Kidding, It's not.

Additionally, having to drive for such long time intervals on a daily basis is also quite exhausting. I arrive at work already tired, and I catch myself thinking about submitting my resignation and calling it a day. My hunger for more crypto is what drives me and keeps me motivated to take it all for another day/week/month. As you can understand, it's all a matter of priorities, and to be honest, I realize that I am blessed to be in a position to have alternatives.

I do understand that most people don't even have another option but to go through the same bs in order to make ends meet and put food on the table.

It's a free world, so if you don't like your job or the conditions related to it, you can always quit and go for whatever makes you feel better. And even though that's not exactly the case as far as I'm concerned, I still need to figure out a way to make something out of the huge amounts of time I waste away driving my car every day. To be honest, I don't think this is even feasible, but I would appreciate any suggestions in the comments below. Apart from keeping myself entertained listening to music or hearing the news, I still haven't figured out a way to spend this wasted time in a productive manner.

There has to be a way, no?

I appreciate your attention.

Stay safe and have a good one,
@lordneroo
