Rising in the Morning

Opening my eyes to look through the window, it's so dark outside.
It's just me listening to cricket.
The morning sky is drained of the moon and stars.
I'd be succinct now more than ever because I was told I have all the time in the world.
What I wasn't told, is that time waits for no one.
Why didn't you tell me the complete story?
What good does a half baked bread do for me?

I made it to this point in lies, I'd rather continue to bask in its slendour.
Do you know the powerful truth about lie?
When you begin to live it, you begin to believe it nevertheless.
What made me so gullible?
I thought otherwise though but the result stares me in the face.
Alright, it's over.
Where do we go from here?
You wanted the truth, well, here you have it.
The truth is awkward but relieving at the same time.

I sit on my chair with my phone and yet it seems like the dark morning doesn't listen to my calls.
Then I go on my knees to pray to the Almighty.
I hide no more in my shadows, all I've got to do from today and this moment on is to express the true me.
Why do we hide instead of revealing?
Why do we conceal instead of exposing?
Not much of a question but helps put all into perspective.
There's no need for camouflaging, it just leads no where but your destination.

Doing it and doing it right are two different matters.
I'm sorry for not being sorry, self-satisfaction should be seeked first.
It's best to learn the art then inculcate it as an habit.
Why apologize for not apologizing?
I'm a contradiction to myself, but that's how to be radical.
Well it sounds better that way but it's the real deal.
Take all matters into hands, one at a time.
