LRT Crashed During Trial

Being one of the densely populated area in Indonesia, Jakarta The capital city of Indonesia is really in an urgent needs of having such a good and reliable mass transportation. Take Japan as an example, even tough they have even more densely populated city, they manage to have a better mass transportation and lesser traffic jams, making mobilization an easier feat.

The Light Rail Transportation or LRT has been planned from so many years back, but because of the long and complicated bureaucracy and of course political and corruption problem this plan can only be materialized recently, and it is still such a complicated problem.

After all the infrastructure are complete, now they have to face another problem because of the crash that happen during the trial. The crash happen near a stations where a railset is about to change lane to come into the stations. But it according to report, the coming railset has come in a faster speed that it is allowed to, so that it went out and crash into another railset which was in an idle positions in the station.

Lucky there was no casualties in the accident, but it surely giving a very bad impression in the project. Will such an accident happen in the future? Of course it will be such a big home work for the government and also contractor to ensure the safety of the future passengers and also gain the trust from the people.
