Yes, that what is happening in Indonesia. If you see from mainstream media, that can be different. Extending the term of presidency without general election is breaking the current rules of law. However, I am not sure if the government insist on the extending or not. It is still a big question.

Besides that, there are many corruption cases that cause the rise of the price of palm oil. It is also plan to rise the gas and fuel. The protests will continue after Iedul fitri I think because there are indications that the government do not listen to the students' appeal.

In Indonesia, the law is two term of presidency. If Jokowi wants to extend the position as the president, he should change the law. It is a hardwork to change the law should be changed by the parliements. Without changing the law in parliement, but Jokowi extend his presidency, it means he does coup. It is illegal. According to law expert in that situation the military is able to take over the position of Jokowi. If it happens, there will be big chaos because there will be horisontal conflicts between militer, Jokowi's supporters and the opposition supporters.

The best way for Jokowi is to hand in his position to his son or his trusted person to fight in the general election. The possibility of his son to win the election is bigger too without breaking the law.

Hi hi.. my brother.. Politics is very messy isn't it.. =) In Malaysia has a very messy politic scene making us the laughing stock sometimes in the international arena of politics. hehee.. So usually, I just ignore it.. =) I saw the news that Indonesia is banning export of palm oil right? It is making many Sarawakian local palm oil farmers very rich.. because of the palm oil shortage. =)

That is true because one of officials in trade ministery is indicated doing corruption and earn gratification from Wilmar corp. Wilmar corp is a crude palm oil company that become the sponsor of soccer group owned by Jokowi's son. So , that is why Jokowi position is in danger if his son is earn money from Wilmar corp.

The official is now under the attorney arrest. Many oppositions attack Jokowi's son is involved in the issues. That is why Jokowi should show that his policy is clean from the corp who wants to take short profit from exporting crude palm oil.

The problem is complicated because the price of palm oil increase in Indonesia. Until now, the price is high. Let's see in the coming months. I think the politics in Indonesia is getting hotter.

As a foreigner, I see that Malaysian politics is OK.
