There Are Certain Acts That Are Not Worth Doing For Money.

Source

Hello everyone, and welcome to my blog and a new week. I hope everyone had a great weekend. I appreciate @Hivelearners for the first edition prompt for this week. It's a pretty fascinating subject to write about. The question seems to be about some kind of loyalty test. What is it that I can't do if I'm given a $1,000,000 offer? Hearing such a large sum of money is undoubtedly enticing and even tempting. Using the black market exchange rate on Binance, which is #745/$, it would be equivalent to roughly 745,000,000 naira when converted to Nigerian currency (naira). That's extremely big, man.

Of course, in order to survive, everyone needs money for bills payment, food, rents etc. For some individuals, having money might be enticing because it gives them access to chances and resources that they would not otherwise have. Specifically in a nation like mine where inflation rises daily and conditions get more challenging every day, having such an offer is incredibly intriguing and seductive, leading individuals to do anything just to obtain such a sum. However, a person's degree of financial temptation may differ based on their beliefs, needs, and priorities.

Even if such a sum were provided, there are certain activities that I would never engage in. which are;

  • Murder: In recent years, you may have heard or seen on the internet that a young person or ritualist murdered someone else in order to get access to more money. Getting my hands covered with someone else's blood is something I would never want to do. I don't even like seeing other people's blood, much less having the desire to murder someone. Money serves no use while I'm restless and uncomfortable. I refuse to see any purpose in it.

  • Fraud: The majority of people, including Nigerians, would probably agree that black people are notorious for often committing online fraud. You should be aware however that not all Africans or Nigerians are like that. I find it difficult to see me defrauding individuals of the possessions or things they've worked so hard to acquire and leaving them feeling heartbroken. Similar to how you would feel if you committed murder and knew you had ruined someone else's life. Some might argue that it is due to the state and circumstance you are in, while others can also be driven by the influence and position that come with wealth.

  • Trafficking of children and adults: According to studies, human trafficking, particularly of women and children, is very lucrative. To trade someone primarily for the purpose of forced labor and sexual exploitation only to get money from the transaction in my opinion is cruel. Due to the fact that, if you stop to think about it, it might be someone's kid, spouse, wife, or mother. I would gladly refuse any amount of my choosing in exchange for engaging in such.

I am aware that some people's drive for money may push them to make decisions that are contrary to their morals or that result in stress and misery.

Well,Thanks for reading anyways.
Have a nice day.

I wouldn't also do any of those for money. They're not worth that amount. Or any amount.

Good for you @machalavienici you probably become a Hive millionaire just by blogging anyway so no there's no point getting your hands dirty, rather you can speak up against it.

No matter how influential that huge sum of money can be, we are still responsible for our actions though the money has power to alter the strength of my mind, our mind always becomes the winner if we want it to... It's pleasing that you have these beautiful thoughts in your mind not to go beyond boundaries because of money and I tell you the truth there is no a better way you can define humanity without including these good qualities you have man...

You know they say " The love of money is the root of all evil" I don't think it's wise for our material desire to overwhelm us that much and then lure us to doing something inhumane just to get the money for it

Thanks for reading anyways @ovey10
