My Thoughts On A Couple Of Famous Quotes And Sayings.
I picked out a couple famous quotes and sayings to talk about today.
Ralph Waldo Emerson said ...
"Do not go where the path may lead, go instead
where there is no path and leave a trail."
This is a cool saying, it's very simple but says a lot. It's fine to be a follower when you are learning but at some point you need to break out and make your own way. Don't do the same exact thing everyone else is doing, put your own spin on it and make it yours. There are always guide lines in some form or another but there is always room for your style or flare.
Thomas Jefferson said ...
"Do you want to know who you are? Don't ask.
Act! Action will delineate and define you."
This is something that I have believed in for a long time, action always tells all. It's all about what you see happen, not what you hear about might be happening. People will always talk, and many tell it like it is, but nothing tells the truth like your actions. If you are a straight up, motivated, hard working person then everyone will know by seeing you in action. The same goes for if you are lazy and just make excuses all the time, everyone will see this. Actions speak the truth 100% of the time.
Lemony Snicket said ...
“If we wait until we’re ready, we’ll be waiting
for the rest of our lives.”
This is so true, when are you really ever ready? The time is right now, not when the stars align. To many of us have waited and waited then never got around to it and went and got old. You only live once so putting it off until your next life doesn't sound like it will work out so well. You will always have obstacles to overcome but it is the constant forward progress that matters.
These are three quotes that caught my eye and I figured I would talk about them a little. Feel free to let me know what you think or any of your favorites quotes.
