Zimbabwe vs Afghanistan, 1st ODI Afghanistan won by 60 runs

The Afghanistan cricket team is currently touring Zimbabwe. The first ODI of the tour between Afghanistan and Zimbabwe was played today, in which Afghanistan won by 60 runs.

Zimbabwe captain Craig Irwin won the toss and elected to bowl first, losing five wickets in the allotted 50 overs to collect 276 runs.

Rahmat Shah was the highest run-scorer among the Afghan batsmen with 94 off 120 balls, including seven fours and three sixes. Hasmatullah Shahidi scored 88 off 104 balls, Rashid Khan 39 off 17 balls, Rahmanullah Gurbaj 17 off 31 balls and Mohammad Nabi collected 10 runs off 7 balls, 20 runs came from extra.

Among Zimbabwe's bowlers, Blessing Mujarabani took 4 for 52 off 9 overs, and Tanaka Chiwanga took 1 for 41 off 7 overs, with no bowler taking wickets.

Zimbabwe lost all their wickets in 50 overs and scored 216 runs for the loss of 60 runs. As a result, they lost by 60 runs.

Sikandar Raja top-scored with 67 off 78 balls, followed by Innocent Kaya (39 off 78 balls), Craig Irwin (30 off 40 balls), Donald Tiripano (15 off 15 balls), Aryan Burl (13 off 18 balls) and Blessing Mujarabani (10 off 11 balls). Collected, 17 runs came from extra.
