El 31 de diciembre comenzamos el día con un dulce obsequio de una de mis vecinas un ponque y dulce de lechosa muy rico.

On December 31 we started the day with a sweet gift from one of my neighbors a very tasty ponque and dulce de lechosa.
En el transcurso de la mañana comenzamos con los preparativos para lo que iba a cenar, mi mamá horneo un delicioso lomo de cerdo con naranjas. Cocinamos el pollo, papas, zanahorias y guisantes para la ensalada de "gallina" para dejarla lista, por cierto, éste año no le agregué manzana verde.
Over the course of the morning we started with preparations for what I was going to have for dinner, my mom baked a delicious pork tenderloin with oranges. We cooked the chicken, potatoes, carrots and peas for the "gallina" salad to make it ready, by the way this year I didn't add green apples.
En la noche como a las 7:30 nos vestimos, pusimos a calentar las hallacas, aderezamos la ensalada, cortamos el pan de jamón y servimos.
At night around 7:30 we got dressed, heated the hallacas, dressed the salad, cut the ham bread and served.
Cenamos a las 8:30, realizamos un pequeño brindis por la última cena del año y disfrutamos del delicioso plato tradicional.
We had dinner at 8:30, made a small toast for the last dinner of the year and enjoyed the delicious traditional dish.
Luego escuchamos música, hablamos, tomamos fotos y comenzamos a beber mientras esperábamos las 12.
Then we listened to music, talked, took pictures and started drinking while waiting for 12 o'clock.
Mi hermana Elayne realizó una videollamada, ya en Argentina habían recibido el año nuevo porque la hora de diferencia que existe entre los dos países, mientras conversamos. Sacamos el vino espumante para realizar el brindis y darnos feliz año.
My sister Elayne made a video call, already in Argentina they had welcomed the new year because of the time difference between the two countries, while we talked. We took out the sparkling wine to make a toast and say happy new year.
