Xenith Archer - this 2 mana cost ranger can be your best friend for mini matches

I hope you all have enjoyed a nice weekend with your loved ones. The time is passing by faster it seems cause only 9 days left for this current season to end. It feels like just yesterday when splinterlands launched the brand new ranked reward updated and completely vanished the old rules. Now, you have to FOCUS on winning as many as possible ranked matches with the given splinter within a day for more and more focus chests! I already shared the first 3 focus rewards on my precious day and also decided to focus only on daily Focus missions and loot as many chests as I can.

Today, I got the Earth Splinter as my focus for the first time after update. It certainly turned out that my Earth summoners is performing way better than the other ones! I was winning visibly more than that of last couple of days, in spite of using Earth summoners back to back. So, I thought to push it further and to go as far as I can before the day ends. It was only 3 hours left for the daily focus to end and I only had collected 2 so far. So I started playing with a calm mind. And finally before the time ended, I reached enough Focus points to collect 10 Focus chests within a day! Below is what I got from those chests! Yup, bagged some good chunks of dec which was soothing my burned 26.5% ECR. By now, I have also collected 32 Season reward chests and hope to bring it up way further than here.

Now, taking a look at the current crypto market, the BTC has successfully crossed above the 30k points and currently being sold for 31,407.77$ per unit. The hive also doing well with 0.57$ current price and the DEC is also staying above it’s pegged value with a 0.00108$ current price. However, the SPS lost some value since the node sale and currently being traded at 0.0811$ per unit with a -4.0% price decrease in last 24 hours.

XENITH ARCHER

Now, let us take a turn from here and move to the main theme of my post. Because, today I am going to showcase another awesome Chaos monster, Xenith Archer with you all!

Xenith Archer is a rare type card which came out with the chaos edition cards. Xenith belongs to the Neutral realm and it costs only 2 mana for it to be used in the battles. It’s attack type is range and it doesn’t hold any abilities throughout all his levels. Sp, Let us now take a further look at it’s stats tier wise.

Bronze

At level 2, Xenith holds 1 range attack at 1 speed with 3 healths. It looks pretty weak in bronze with just 1 attack and speed but still a good choice if you have some mana left.

Silver

At level4, the range attack remains same as 1 but the speed gets increased to 3 and the health to 3 as well.

Gold

At level 6, the Xenith finally gets it’s range attack increased to 2 with 3 speed and 4 health. The overall increased stat makes him a good option for just 2 mana cost, especially in low mana limit matches.

Diamond/Champ

At level 8, it possesses 2 range attack at 4 speed with 5 health. As I said, even at max level it doesn’t get any abilities. But for 2 mana, a monster with good health and decent range attack for enough I guess.

Important points about Xenith Archer

• First of all, it’s low mana cost makes it a good choice in low mana limit matches. You may use this monster even in 12 or 13 mana limit matches.

• It doesn't hold any abilities in any of his levels. So, for many player that may be a negative side. But ai think it has enough stat to cover that up.

• At max level, it’s high 5 health is enough to consume multiple attacks before going down.

• It also carries decent speed from gold level with 3 speed and 4 speed at max level. So, it will attack faster than many slow monsters out there.

Market Stat

Xenith Archer is currently being sold in the splinterlands market starting from 0.20$ and will only cost you about 180.453 DEC and onwards. There are also some high level cards available for cheap price.

This time, I got a medium range mana limit match with the Back to Basics ruleset. Total 4 Splinters were allowed in this match and I chose the Dragon summoner Selenia (it gives +1 range for just 3 mana cost) along with some giant monsters as stated below.

PELACOR CONJURER

It was a Back to basics match so I was in need of large health tanks. Thus I chose the Pelacor Conjurer max level at the first place of my line-up. Thou it’s abilities are useless, it has 8 health with 5 speed which will last long and possibly evade some range attack.

PEACEFUL GIANT

To protect my rear monster further from attacks, I placed another tank health monster Peaceful Giant at the reach position. I am using a level 10 in here and it has 17 health and 1 speed with no abilities, so perfect for this match.

XENITH ARCHER

At the third place, I chose the Xenith Archer. This card also font have any abilities by default but with higher stats in 2 mana range. I am using a level 8 in here and it possesses 2 range attack at 4 speed with 5 health.

NAGA ASSASSIN

I chose the Naga Assassin after the Xenith because of her high speed attack and she will be attacking first on my side. I am using a level 8 in here and it has 2 range attack at 6 speed and 5 health.

HIGHLAND ARCHER

I chose another non ability monster Highland Archer at the fifth place of my lineup. For 3 mana cost, it was a good option with 3 range attack, 4 speed and 5 health at level 10.

PEACEBRINGER

At the last place of my lineup, I chose the Peacebringer for it’s unmatched 4 range attack at just 4 mana cost and no doubt it’s the highest attack card of my lineup. I am using a level 8 in here and it possesses 4 range attack at 5 speed with 7 health.

Match Result

It was a Back to basics match this time so I had to depend only on my monster’s basic attack stats. And on the other hand, I had to protect my front more seriously cause ai wont get to use those defensive abilities in this ruleset. So I chose 2 Fat health attack less monsters at the front and put trust in the rest 4 archers to do the job. I also increased their attacking power by +1 by using the Selenia.

As the match got revealed, I found out that my opponent have also used the Selenia summoner against me but he chose the Earth splinter cards with it. He defended his front with a Failed Summoner, followed by 5 rangers Naga Assassin, Xenith Archer, Fire Spitter, Javelin Thrower and Earth elemental at the end. His defence is weak but on the other hand, he has 5 archers and most of them are decent to high speed. The scene is hot here.. let’s see how the match goes..

As the first round starts, my Pelacor got knocked down quickly by together Javelin and Naga and the Giant came at front. Now, it was my turn and my Xenith, Peacebringer and Naga took care of the Failed summoner. My Highland Archer attacked next and almost killed the enemy naga which was at front then. The enemy Earth elemental attacked last and damaged my wounded Giant’s health down to 6 and the first round ended here.

At the beginning of second round, my Naga attacked first and killed the enemy Naga and the enemy Xenith came at front and got useless to attack. While my Giant consumed another attack from Javelin and still left alive with - health, my Peacebringer performed a bullseye in the enemy Xenith and killed it down, making the Fire Spirit come at front. Next, mycelic Xenith and Highland attacked together and killed that Spitter down and the troublemaker Javelin finally got useless coming at front. However, the Earth Elemental again attack at last and killed my Giant and the Round ended here.

It got easier at third round as only 1 monster could attack from enemy side while I was still having 3 active fast attackers. As the round started, both my Naga and Peace attacked and killed down the enemy Javelin. The Earth elemental came at front snd got unable to attack. The Highland made his health down to 4 with his high shot and the wounded Elemental got taken care at the later round by my Naga and Peace. And thus, I scored another win in this wild battlefield of splinterlands!
