Debo confesar que para ser mi primer Dorama, lo amé, en encanto en todo sentido esta historia, llore mucho al entender la lección sobre el cuidado de los animales domésticos y la importancia de ellos en nuestra vida. También que el ser humano es muy estresante y eso le hizo daño al gato.

¿La recomiendo? si, claro!! Incluso deseo verla nuevamente para entender mejor los diálogos pues los subtítulos iban algo rápido y me perdí de algunos detalles. Pero en resumen es romántica, divertida y tiene un final bonito.

They say that the first dorama is not forgotten and I am already believing this sentence because I finally fell into the nets of Korean dramas, for a long time I was told about this genre of television series, but as they are usually available on Netflix and I don't have a subscription so I had not been able to watch them, until I saw an advertisement of a page called Rakuten Viki, it is a streaming site of exclusively Asian movies and series, the best thing is that you have the option to pay a subscription, which is quite affordable, and watch the episodes for free but with advertising, although it is better to pay the monthly plan to comfortably attend the series, because they have good translation into many languages and a wide catalogue of Asian series and movies.

I was looking through the catalogue of series and I couldn't decide which one to start with, I confess that I'm anxious and I'm afraid to start watching something that I won't like and I'll waste my time so I went to see some reviews and recommendations of romantic comedies and among those mentioned, one called my attention titled "Meow, the secret boy" so that was the one I chose to watch a dorama for the first time, and I'm telling you I loved it!

Meow, The secret Boy is a romantic comedy that mixes drama and fantasy. It is about a cat with the ability to turn into a human boy, in order to brighten up the sad and lonely life of a girl.

The main character is called Sol Ah, and she doesn't like cats, but decides to take care of a cat at the request of a friend with whom she is in love, but has had difficulty getting along with him because of a misunderstanding that occurred on the day they had finally become romantically close.

This series is based on a Webtoon or comic strip and the main character is a graphic designer who in her spare time draws graphic cartoons in digital format about the story she has had with her friend and then begins to tell the story with the cat boy, and publishes them on an internet site where they are very successful (it made me think of Hive).

It consists of 24 episodes of between 30 to 40 minutes. The main characters are the girl: Sol Ah (Shin Ye Eun) and the cat boy: Hong Jo (Kim Myung Soo, an Idol from a Kpop music group).

The intro of the episodes is very cute, it's in cartoon format and it kind of sums up the series, I liked it so much that I never skipped the intro, even though I had to watch more commercials hahahaha.

The story unfolds slowly, but is full of deep family stories, both from the main and supporting characters, each story is very interesting, an example of this is the boy friend of the main character who was abandoned by his biological parents, He resents Sol Ah because he thinks she abandoned the cat as a baby, which was a misunderstanding in reality, and that made him think about how he was abandoned when he was a baby in the past.

Also Sol Ah's family history is complicated because his mother died and his father is sad and silent all the time, he just spoke to her to tell her that she had to look for a place to live because he would sell the house to move out of the city to go live with his new wife, all this he said suddenly and it was like a bombshell for Sol Ah, it was that day that this cat boy appeared in his life.

Hong Jo, is called the cat that is able to become human when he is near Sol Ah, or to take with him some personal object of her, little by little he realizes that the reason why he becomes human is because Sol Ah needs his company and care, in order not to fall into a deep depression for all the sad events that have happened to him this last year. The way in which he comes to her is very curious but it is seen that it was his purpose and not a simple coincidence, all the stories of his friend, her and the cat are intertwined.

Hong Jo is the secret boy, little by little he learns to be and behave like a human and manages to conquer the heart of Sol Ah, who doesn't know that he is the same cat that she rescued and that he has also won her affection. She mistakes him for the son of her father's new wife and with this confusion, many events unfold that make you want to watch each episode one after the other to discover the outcome of the story.

I must confess that for my first Dorama, I loved it, I loved this story in every way, I cried a lot when I understood the lesson about the care of pets and the importance of them in our life. Also that the human being is very stressful and that hurt the cat.

Do I recommend it? yes, of course! I even want to watch it again to understand the dialogues better because the subtitles were a bit fast and I missed some details. But all in all it's romantic, funny and has a nice ending.
