Newbies Initiative February batch Application

It's quite astonishing how long I've been on the sidelines as regards joining in on the hive platform despite having the necessary resource and just about the right amount of motivation from an esteemed hive advocate in person of @ nonsowrites, who has been on my neck just enough not to strangle me..
Finally I made the big move and voilà ! I'm here, and it gladdens me so. This platform has given me the opportunity to learn , network , earn and keep me abreast on the latest trend in the cryptoworld, also I get the chance to participate in several challenges and initiatives like the New-bies initiative. Therefore this is my application for the newbies initiative.

The newbies initiative is certainly a commendable initiative as it seeks to not just welcome warmly newcomers to the hive Blockchain but also help promote newcomers or New-bies as we are called , helping them find purpose meaning or reason for being on the platform and to ward off any sense of aloofness or discouragement. It's a valid support system !
I see the newbies initiative as a mentorship program , just like in the university days when freshmen are guided by their senior colleagues so as to have a smooth sail through the rigours of the university ( the hive Blockchain in this case).
It's only about just the best idea ! I mean how does a community grow if it's the same persons in it?

Why Am I Participating In The Newbies Initiative?

Basically, I fit the description "newbie" according to the definition provided by the initiator of the newbie initiative, I've a hive reputation of 47.63 and my hive power is 76.7.
Secondly I seek growth in this community, to learn as much as I can and meet as much awesome people as I can , so I figured, this initiative is for me as it offers this and more..
I'm also interested in earning crypto, and part of the benefits of joining the newbies initiative I believe is also to get upvotes and this transcends into earnings. The coordinator of the New-bies challenge also gives New-bies the opportunity to earn off of his posts by 3%!.
Talk about generousity , support, care , accommodation, mentorship and accountability, these and much more are what the newbies initiative offer, and I'm most pleased to be offered the opportunity .. hop on Newbies !
