LeoFinance - Terra Blockchain's Levana Dragons

Levana Protocol is new to the Terra blockchain and has yet to fully come on live. The focal point of the protocol is to allow leverage investing on assets. It will first introduce 2x Luna tokens and in the the future offer other tokens with leverage.

For today's post we look at a intergral project with Levana in regards to NFTs and Metaverses. As the NFTs got hot in 2021 it is clear that more protocols will want to try and capitalize on the FOMO. Levana has one too where there are meteors, dragon eggs, and dragon dusts.

Levana Dragons

Currently the protocol is offering 3 types of NFTs available to be traded on the open market. On Terra blockchain the two platforms that can trade Levana NFTs are randomearth and knowhere.art.

https://knowhere.art/

The step process of creating a dragon on Levana is still a work in progress however users can already partake in owning a part of the creation. The process starts with owning meteors and they were first introduced late 2021 in a open bid sell off.

image.png

Meteor showers were offered on the platform in 44 hours straight and each hour it waited for UST bids on purchasing meteors. The minimum bid was $8 and max was anything people were willing to pay. In total there were a little over 41,000 meteors created in all the showers and distributed to all bidders who participated. The meteors come in four categories depending on the amount a bidder bids for the meteor the more UST the higher potential of getting a higher rarity meteor. Meteor rarities are broken into four categories, common, rare, ancient, and legendary.

Now the meteors are offerred on third party sites such as randomearth and knowhere.art. For those who want to move on to the next step of the creating the dragon process is to crack the meteor. Holders of meteor need to be on Levana's webiste to crack their meteors.

https://meteors.levana.finance/user/crack

From there the meteor turns into either a dragon egg or meteor dust. There will only be 8,888 dragon eggs ever created and they are offer only from the meteors from presale. The +41,000 meteors will have 8,888 eggs and the remaining be meteor dusts.

image.png

The dusts comes in three rarities, common, rare, and ancient. Legendary dusts do not exist and some random dusts in one of the three rarities will include legendary composite for possible use with legendary eggs.

The 8,888 eggs are very unique in that they will never come more. While meteor dusts will be available in future in game rewards. However the uniqueness of meteor dusts in the presale includes SP points that enhances a dragon when used in nesting and hatching.

image.png

The dragons will originate from eggs and there are four rarities of eggs, common, rare, ancient, and legendary. In order to have a dragon hatched the holder requires dust of same rarity and composition to nest and likely hatch in the process steps. As of now neither nesting or hatching has come on line but very soon. Nesting appears to be within days from this post.

Latest nesting news from Levana developers: https://blog.levana.finance/levana-egg-nesting-983de42b8546

A quick summary of nesting is it requires the egg and dust to have rarity and composition matching. For example a rare egg will require a rare dust and both egg and dust be same composition in order for dusting to process.

Conclusions

The crypto gaming is expanding and Levana is trying to sieze the opportunity to be one. They are currently the most traded NFTs in the Terra blockchain per DefiLlama.

image.png

With Levana Eggs, Meteors, and Meteors Dust avaliable to trade if we combined all three categories Levana Dragons have a big lead over the competition in its own blockchain. I am personally following the project to see if it can become a staple to Terra blockchain similar to what Defi Kingdom has become for Harmony or Crypto Punks for Ethereum.

The whole process of creating a limited 8,888 dragons is very interesting and new to the crypto world. To start from Meteor and cracking it to either earn dust or egg. Then to move on to dust and egg combinations to nest and hatch the eggs. In turn to create a dragon as cool as the one below.

image.png

The art work is outstanding as the colors and details are one of a kind. Whether it be meteors, dusts, or eggs they all stand out in their own right. Levana's goal for now is not out right open as to what the dragons will do however they have a clear road map as to what to expect from the gaming side of the protocol.

The dragons will be pets to the player's avatar called a rider and anyone who wants to play the game can create a rider. The limited dragons makes it only at most ever 8,888 riders to hold dragons. In the future there will be other animals but the dragon is the mascot to Levana and held at a high standard.

How the dragons and Levana's metaverse plays into the leverage token protocol is still a work in progress but just by looking at the quality and process of creating the dragons I am excited to see how this project progress.

I like nft projects that has utility to it. Levana may not be open to the exact utilities on its dragons but road map is clear. Art work is great too so it has my interest. Yet I totally agree with you a lot is happening all over crypto. My advice just invest what you want to hold long term like over a year. With that said the eggs are around 3 Luna for commons, 6 for rares, 20s for ancients and then hundreds for legends. The dust is wider in price due to demand and supply. Most commons are 0.1 Luna but can get as expensive as 10 Luna depending on composition. All in all I would guess around minimum 5 Lunas for a dragon. That’s on the low side. Max is anyone’s guess as there are whales willing to pay hundreds for an egg.

Thank you very much for the explanation.
When I am checking the price of Luna, I think i have to pass on this NFt and the game. Way above my budget.

That is insane!! (in a good way)
These games keep getting more and more creative. Just when I thought I saw everything here is a game where you can grow dragons, that is just amazing.
