Splinterlands - Chaos Legions Card Prices Continue Down

A guess one benefit of cryptocurrency prices dropping is so are the Splinterlands cards. Although not all cards are at all time lows the Chaos Legion cards appear to be reaching that point.

Really Good Time To Buy?

The prices of Chao Legion legendary cards are reaching some all time lows. I have not seen multiple cards under $4 / bcx ever in my recent memory and now there are at least 3. It goes across the board, but the commons are have remain at the lowest being $0.035.

I have been eyeing on the Chao rare summoners and it is slightly down in prices too.

It appears there are more Chaos cards distributed in the game as players are offering stacked level cards for sale now more than ever. This is helping in driving down prices as often stacked cards are offered at lower $ / bcx.

No Time is Better than Today

The lower prices in Chaos Legion cards is having an effect on the rest of the cards as I can see prices on some of the most high demand cards in the game in a while.

For instance the Untamed legendary summoners are now all down below $500 / bcx. Although not many are offered in the market it appears even older series cards are are having a down price effect.

Beyond the plentiful cards in circulation that is driving down prices it may likely also been the rewards being offered. For over a month now with the new rules in place where bronze II and lower accounts unable to earn any DEC in rank battle wins it has reduced a lot of accounts to earning almost nothing.

On the higher leagues the DEC earning has also dropped with more players participating in earning from the DEC pool. All in all we are not earning as much DEC per a win as per say in the same leagues even just a couple months ago.

Conclusions

More cards in circulation and less rewards distribution per win in lower leagues is likely the main forces of pushing down card prices. Add in the general cryptocurrency market continuation of downtrend we get pressure in downward prices.

I do not think this is a bad thing for investors and new comers. In stead I see it as an opportunity as on-boarding into the game has a lower barrier of entry. Exciting times to see cards are being offered at lower prices will mean I myself have better odds of getting more cards for the same amount of DEC, while at the same time also potential to earn more. Earn more since the more competitive cards I hold the better gaming experience I can get.

I get so excited everytime I see the prices drop, but then I realize I don't really want to invest more money into SPL for now! I grabbed some cards already, sadly not much more liquidity left - and they should still drop for a while, as it seems it is still some time until we get some announcements, such as Land and so.

That is some great news. I have some DEC saved up over the past few weeks and I really have to start buying some cards soon. When Waka came out, I changed out some VOUCHERs into Hive so I might have to look at the prospects of buying some summoners for myself as well.
