Splinterlands - My Deck Collection To Date

I did not officially write a post of my 2022 Splinterlands overall review and now that January is almost half way I thought at the very least it would be good to review what I have in collection as a whole and what I plan to do in 2023. Note all of what I say is just my opinions alone and you shouldn't follow it assuming its the only way. Instead review and assets your own collection so that you can make your own assessments.

My Overall Collection

My total collection peaked somewhere around $90k almost a year ago but now stands a just slightly over $13k. I wish I had sold most my cards at the top and bought back in now thereby likely having more cards on hand and earning more through renting cards.

Alpha, Beta, Promo

Nearly half my collection $ value is in the combined Alpha, Beta, and Promo cards. I have not added any cards from these editions for quite some time and will likely remain so moving forward. Beyond a couple of Promo cards the availability of cards are low because these series of cards no longer are in print.

Untamed and Chaos

A small yet sizable collection in Untamed and Chaos combined above. It is not the smallest collection per series and most card adds are apart of the Chaos series.

Rewards

Rewards is my largest portion of cards out of all the series. Since reward cars were started from day one there has been continuous new reward cards being introduced during each new card series. The cost per reward card tends to be on the lower side than other card series therefore I have accumulated multiple of the same card and the addition cards used to earn passive income via rentals.

I anticipate to invest more into my Chaos collection and along the way if I see reasonably priced reward cards I would scope those too. I have my eyes set on a max Chaos set but time is not on my side. That is because down the road the Chaos packs will stop selling which limits supply.

There is not much I can do for my overall $ value of my collection. I do not want to sell now considering the collection was evaluated to be much higher in $ value just a year ago. It is clear though Splinterands could not avoid the crypto bear market.

I do see at some point I am consolidating my rewards collection so I can spend the resources on getting closer to a Max Chaos set. The point would likely come when DEC reaches par.
