I decided to try my luck and open some packs from the Chaos Legions collection.
Initially I bought 10 packages or $40, in reais according to the price on the site dolarhoje I spent 217 Reais (Brazilian currency).
I'm not counting the potions.

I didn't get any legendary cards, I only got 4 epics and a common gold.
As you can see it was not profitable to open the packages at all, I spent a total of $40 to open the 10 packages and received a total of $16.87 in cards.
I don't know if I'll open some more because with that same $40 I could have put some summoners on level 2.

I remember the excitement of opening packs ... and the disappointment of not finding anything really exciting in them. I haven't played Splinterlands (or SteemMonsters, as it was then called) since 2018. I've only recently returned to the social blockchain in 2022.
Welcome back, I started playing in 2019 on steem too, I returned to social blockchain in 2021.
Do you intend to play splinterlands again? Your collection must be very valuable
At the moment, I don't have time to play again, but I may do in the future. For now though, I have delegated out my card collection to someone who is running a bot, so that I can earn a passive income from them.
Did you use any potions?
Yes, I used both alchemy potions and legendary potions in all openings
