No Glory for Introverts in HIVE?
Hi everybody! I still wonder sometimes how some people get votes of 100$ or even 1000$ for a post. Never happened to me. I know it is not mainly about the content, but rather about networking, sympathies, and maybe luck...and still I am not sure about this last one.
So, is there any Glory for Introverts? Well...it should be...considering that they could usually be more creative than extroverts or maybe if they just break out of their bubble in the right moment and right spot...
Otherwise, I guess if you want to have considerable profits in Hive you don't have to step out of a single bubble but quit all the bubbles.
If you are a new or an older member of the community, it is not that relevant. Some acquire better profits with time, it is true...but this is not a rule. Some people gain a lot from the beginning and others just don't.
The decentralization is not that decentralized as much as the quality of the content is not exactly relevant.
So, new adjustments are necessary to be made in this environment by specific categories of persons. In the end, you do see it is all a lottery and you just have to pick the right numbers...and I love to play without crossing the lines of my soul.

I know what you mean with some of the posts lol. The ones that get up well over 100$ but are just a picture is crazy but it’s easy for some people with very large stake on here to just dish out votes to earn money back. I’ve been lucky enough to get a couple over 100$ but it’s not the ones I put the most effort into so I don’t get it lol oh well!
Oh, yes...voting for more valuable posts gives you more money back and profit is more important for some users. Although you can ''read'' much easier a picture, some of them are really good. Talent pays also very well in real life and it is understandable. So, there is luck somewhere there in the votes...good to know 😄 and glad for you 🙂
You don't get to reputation of 60 without quite a few up-votes. You're no newbie. The best paid out posts these days are the ones with 100% beneficiary to the "Hive Dollar Stabilizer" account, which is an automated account that buys and sells Hive Dollars in order to bring it's price to close to the USD. The account is worth $700,000.
Of course, I had my up-votes, but not of 100$ or 1000$ and I was wondering about these users who have managed to acquire such performance, some of them even after a quite short period in HIVE. Maybe "Hive Dollar Stabilizer" could draw some light into this matter. Thank You!
There's definitely an element of luck to those $100 posts. I've never had one myself, on either of my accounts. I've had a few get about halfway there, which was still way more than they were really worth.
The keys to big payouts seem to be crypto and connections. Enough #crypto based #hashtags is sure to bump the payout. Of course, if you have a whale or two as a benefactor, it would be hard not to earn big on anything they upvote. Making connections at the top requires certain social skills, so definitely not an easy task for an introvert. A brief browse of your timeline shows that you don't seem super-interested in crypto.
It looks like you're doomed to suffering low payouts, just like me 😁.
I can offer a couple tips. You may consider trying some different communities to post your content into. Your poetry may do better in one of the other writing communities on hive. This post was well placed in Proof of Brain, they really enjoy a discussion about vote inequity here. A lot of your content is very short, it may be appreciated more on D.Buzz. Your sketches may do better in a different art community. Finding the right communities for my content doubled my payouts on my other account.
I've had a lot of luck promoting my posts. Ecency and PeakD are both very easy front ends for this, I have a slight preference for Ecency. This gets your post in front of a lot more eyes, and can really help you grow your followers. It doesn't guarantee a big payout, but it will definitely get you more votes.
You've got at least one new fan, with two accounts. I like the short, succinct nature of your posts, and the variety of topics you post about. My votes may not be worth shit, but I'll be sending some your way.

Aside good post I think another thing is to network, and mind you those whale can not in anyway possible UPVOTE all the good post. But if you network alot and your content is certifying enough for your followers i think a good UPVOTE will come.

Socialize - Yes, I understand your introversion, I'm an introvert too, but we both know that the biggest advantage of the internet is that we can hide in it and no one will know who we really are (if we want to), so start commenting more on posts that you like to read, always vote! chat with members who tend to make better profits, make connections! You have to be seen to be able to profit. Try to engage the community and it will reciprocate!
Thanks for the tips. What I have to work on is socializing more in the Hive community and on Twitter, I think. I see these two connected. I'll see if I can friendship Twitter, because it seems like such a babel in there for me and such an unfriendly user-experience... I am not sure where things start and where they end there, so I decided only to be a distant visitor..but maybe I'll figure it out.

Yes, you shouldn't lose yourself and should stay your unique self. There's no harm in evolving though 😊.
But back to the main topic of this post, I've come to think of it as "it's not a one-size-fits-all". Yes, we can learn and takeaway what works for us, from those that are already "big fish", but that doesn't automatically mean that if we adopt everything we'll get the same exact results. And I also think that the amount of earnings are based on multiple factors.
I also haven't reached $100,- (yet) here on Hive, but I learn from others, stay true to myself and try to sharpen my skills that could also benefit me in the outside world eventually.

There's nothing more for me to say here, as all of the other comments probably cover most things. Introverts have it harder and it's not fair, but that's how it is. There is a place for us on Hive, we just have to crawl out of that bubble sometimes to write a comment (which is easier here than it is in real life) and we have to be consistent and a little lucky. 🤗

As an absolute introvert who struggles constantly with trust issues and has barely any will to live, I resonate with your post. I value everyone and like to comment when someone comments on my posts, however even though we "hide" behind nicknames we select ourselves, it's still me, and many times what someone tells me on the internet, though it shouldn't matter, it still does. Validation of what I say feels great but the opposite can be crushing to me. So many times I see myself not commenting because I try to avoid some of those feelings. Probably sounds weird if you have a somewhat healthy relationship of any kind in life but that's how it goes for some of us. Thank you for your post, I quite like your writing!
I can see how words can affect us even though it is an online discussion. It's quite funny, as you have said that it shouldn't matter, considering that those people don't know us and they are sometimes even more acid than in real life. Well, we are people and we are sensitive to things that have an impact on us in one way or another. The idea is that things people say have sometimes more to do with them than with you. So, I think a proper analysis is important in this context. Moreover, we are different one from another, so we could in fact benefit from other person's different opinions. For example, that friend who always agrees with us and lets us hold up to the ridicule even though he could have helped us to be better, I don't know if he is really a friend. Furthermore, in order to become better versions of ourselves, we sometimes have to pass through all sorts of emotions, and not avoid them. It will make us stronger and won't appear in other less-wanted contexts. It doesn't sound wired to me, but in fact, I appreciate the fact that you opened yourself here. It resonates with my need of expressing more and in better ways my own emotions, a thing that I still have to work on. So, Thank You for the precious insights!
