NEWBIES INITIATIVE TASK - WHY AND HOW ON HIVE

During the last newbie initiative meeting done on discord smile server by @starstrings01, @projectmamabg and @aliento, there are lot of things discussed there to help newbies grow and go a long way on their journey on this great platform, many issues were discussed in the meeting and thus will be serve as a guide for people who are ignorant of things which are been done on the platform.

WHY MUST YOU AVOID PLAGIARISM

When we talk about plagiarism, it means taking or using an information or a resources which is owned by another person entirely on one's work making it seem as if you are the original owner of that resources.

When we look at some of our books which we do read or let me use a story book as an example at the front page, there is always a place where it is written no copyright which means you can't published that book except permission from the owner so that just like what is applied here on hive you can't just copy things from the internet owned by another person and post it here, it is a great offense and there are penalties for such act. What is needed is your creativity, ability to make new things out by yourself without copying anybody's idea or information.

HOW DO YOU SOURCE AN IMAGE

There are some images which are been picked from the internet, normally they are not ours and for one to use those pictures there have to be sourced. There are some images which are not free on the net and one has to pay to get those pictures so actually there are some website which I do use when taking my image online which is freepik.com so with that I can source image. Also text, there are some quote which one will want to use and won't have a choice but to take it from the internet, one have to source it then and to source we make use of bracket example () then to paste the link we use [].

WHY SHOULD YOU NOT TAG MANY PEOPLE

It had been said that most newbies misuse tags and make some of them get downvoted because most people do get frustrated seeing their name everytime on some post which are not supposed to be there and sometimes can cause downvote to that author or user.

WHY SHOULD YOU NOT PUBLISH SAME ARTICLE NUMEROUS TIMES.

Publishing same article numerous times won't attract other authors to check out your post because they know that you are talking all about same thing you have said before and this won't make any reward come from that post because other author will be bored in checking out the article which have been posted before. They always expect new things from authors everyday so they can be able to learn or grab new information from the article.

WHAT IS THE ACCEPTABLE AMOUNT OF POST PER DAY

As a newbie, you are not expected to be writing and spamming the platform everytime, one need to check out first how to grow his or her account so since one is still new and there is no yet bigger connection I think one post per day will be okay as a newbie in other to see better rewards on post because hardly will one see a better reward on the second post as a newbie compared to one who has gotten a bigger connection.

WHAT IS THE IMPORTANT OF ENGAGEMENT

Since I joined hive this saying has continued to ring in my hear everytime because that is what most successful people on hive do say and since when I have started engaging also I can see more DIFFERENCE and growth in my account. Like engagement makes one get more connections and also make more social friends easily which make them want to check out your profile and start supporting you.

Other points which I learnt from the video is that each tags been used has it meaning and function so if an author want to post, he or she must post in the right community so as to avoid been downvoted.
