How to come up with content without murdering your schedule

Are You Spending Hours Looking For Content Ideas?

Does this sound familiar. You need to write some articles for your blog, or produce a video. After all you have been told repeatedly that content is king. You decide to jump on board and produce some content.

When it comes to content there is no real difference between video and blog articles. The creation process is pretty much the same. For example for both you need a killer headline, then the supporting info with some graphics to make it look more attractive. In video they say nothing is more important than the headline and thumbnail. The exact same can be said about article creation.

The reason for this is to attract your audience to click and either read your article or watch your video. If the headline and thumbnail are not attractive, and do not spark curiosity then your views and comments will be much lower than they could have been.

Why Does It Take Hours To Have An Original Idea?

Staring at a blank computer screen or pad of paper is bad. The blank fills you with a dreadful anxiety, and you can't sem to look away or even think coherent thoughts. You are almost as a deer caught in the headlights of a speeding vehicle.

You are pretty good at thinking on your feet, if you could just have 1 original idea! Let us deal with that, original ideas are well and fine, but will be time consuming to say the least. An original idea is hard to search for and often requires additional explaining.

Your time would be better spent if you would just write about something you love, and have a lot of passion for. What do you spend the margority of your free time talking about, as that would be your passion.

You know what you like and the problems associated with that try sharing some of your solutions with your audience. If I have a problem understanding why it is financially beneficial to upvote people's content on #HIVE then once I have a working understanding of that, boom share it with everyone via a post or video.

Where Do The Ideas Come From?

This might trip a lot of people up. Ever hear of a guru like @jongolson taking a few hours and just pumping out 10 articles? This must be frustrating from the outside looking in. Jon is awesome with training and a lot of these ideas come from his training.

Do you read books, and or listen to audio books? You can pull 2 to 3 ideas from each chapter. If you are reading a 10 chapter book, then by the time you finish the book, you should have about 30 ideas.

This is compound task completion. Completing a task like reading a book can also yield more task completion. You read 1 book and from that book you have 30 article ideas. You also have 30 social media posts as well because once your article is complete, and posted you will want to make a social media post probably to multiple platforms to promote the article and build your audience.

When ever you watch an instructional video on 3Speak or other platform, take notes, as you are taking them write a little headline for every idea you make not of. a 20 minute instructional video could yeild you about 5 good article ideas with a rough draft of the headline.

Facebook Groups is a great place to get ideas. I belong to some really great reselling, and online marketing groups. When the other members post their questions and you happen to have answers BOOM!! Each question is an idea, and the question itself would make a great headline. When your articles or videos start to solve peoples problems that positions you as an expert on your chosen subject.

Last But Not Least!

Whether you are reading peoples blog posts, or watching their videos on hive, you should always be in a position to jot down quick notes. Ever read an article but your brain starts to reorganize the information presented? It could be something as simple as noticing that they are not speaking to a bginner. This will give you the ability to break down the info, simplify it, and represent it to a less experianced audience. The same goes for video as well.
