Live Streaming Has Been a Game Changer For Me!!

4 Weeks & Could Not Be Happier

I have been streaming live for about 4 weeks now. It all started with a Live Stream of Splinterlands to just Vimm, using Zoom. I was so happy with my results that I wrote an article about how to stream from Zoom to Vimm.

That was about 5 weeks ago. Keep in mind that when the calendar changed from 2021 to 2022 I had no intention of doing live video streams. I see the big names in online marketing getting on camera every chance they get. Most good marketing platforms do live streams almost daily.

I was resolute and comfortable in my decision to not do live videos. I was okay with pre-recorded edited video, but for obvious reasons live streaming held no appeal to me.

I do not know what came over me. I was watching a lot of live streams, on Twitch, Vimm, and Facebook. Either something just clicked or I had a mini-stroke, maybe it was just seeing people give a great example.

Restream Makes Streaming to Multiple Platforms Real EZ

If you want to connect to Facebook, Twitter, or Youtube it is too easy. All you do is click on the icon and follow the prompts. With my current membership level, I can only stream to 1 account per platform. I will use LinkedIn as an example because I have not streamed them yet.

For most Web2 Social Platforms the process is basically the same just be sure you are already logged into the platform before trying to connect it is a much easier almost automatic process.

Vimm Posed a Bit of a Challenge

First, you need to get your key from Vimm. To do this click on your account image in the upper left-hand corner of the screen, A Gear will appear as pictured below.

Once you click on the gear a new window appears and you are now in your accounts settings page. Click on the tab labeled "My Keys" Then copy what is in the RTMP URL field and the Your Stream Key field as pictured below.

The image below shows you which icon to choose when trying to live stream to Vimm:

Then take the RTMP URL and Stream Key you captured from Vimm and enter them in the fields. Now you are set up to stream live to Vimm. Do not forget to setup you options title, description, tags, and the "Post to Hive" button in your Live Dashboard on Vimm as pictured below.

To Conclude:

After 4 weeks of live streaming 3 days weekly same days, the same time has positively affected both of my accounts with both engagement and earnings. Doing the lives with a consistent schedule is helping to give me more credibility with other Hive members. The more I am seen regularly the faster people will get to know like and trust me.

All in all, not a bad deal and I would highly recommend this to anyone. Start out with just 1 stream a week and grow from there. Whatever you do, do not make my mistake. My first 3 weeks I treated uploading the replay to 3Speak as something that can be done later. Live streaming can be exhausting. The minute you are done with the live stream download your video recording and crunch it, then upload it to 3Speak, your earnings will thank you.
