Splinterlands' Challenge : Flying Squid 🦑

Every week, @splinterlands posts a challenge for players to post about their battle, using a specific card or splinter. This week’s challenge, is to use Flying Squid!

All monsters have the extra armor, and the Blast ability!
(Does additional damage to Monsters adjacent to the target Monster) Mana was capped at 20!

So, here was the team I put together:

Since, Flying Squid is a Water Monster, I began by choosing my water summoner. I picked, Alric Stormbringer- a powerful Water Summoner! Alric is at level 4 and adds an attack stat to each friendly magic monster!!

The oldest ΛZMΛRÉan Summoner, Alric Stormbringer, founded the modern arts of Chaos Magic. He has many pupils from around the Splinterlands. Alric’s gift is not so much bringing the storm, but channeling it. He has lived for hundreds of years, and some stories claim he was alive before the Splintering.

As a bonus, water splinter was part of my daily focus. I was already feeling confident, but let’s get to my monster line-up!

In my tank position, I chose Hydra! This card is a neutral monster and has some pretty good stats. It has decent speed, attack, and health- but I really like its Heal ability, which restores part is its health, each round.

Giant Squid followed. I just love this card, and it has some pretty good stats. It's reach ability allows it to attack from this position.

I then chose, Furious Chicken. Whenever I have space in my lineup, I always try to use this card. It's a no-brainer. It cost nothing, but it adds one health to the team.

Crustacean King, anchored the team. I chose this card mainly for its tank heal ability. (Restores a portion of the Monster in the first position's health each round.) The heath was just OK.

My battle went 7 rounds, and was very close. Blast really helped me out! I was very happy with the team I assembled, and was very pleased with my victory ✌🏽
