hahahaha i know if I use Ecency that I will be able to earn for every comment! and every post! and even if i keep it open! hahaha

but the problem with me is - when I am in discord (and I'm usually there all throughout the day and keeping it open LOL) Gina always tells me my notifications - so I scroll through them fast and read them - and then quickly click the link and respond

and it automatically opens in Peakd (cuz Gina only lets us configure from Peakd or hive.blog) so i have to change the link every time i open it - and usually i'm moving so fast i just answer quickly and then close it.

I did try to keep my Ecency open all the time - so that when i saw a notification in gina - i just went to the notification in ecency - but it is delayed sometimes, and so i just end up clicking on the gina link 😆

and then I also downloaded the notifications for google chrome but those things are SO annoying hahaha they ping ping ping and then cover the screen and when you get a trail vote - you just sit there closing down notifications for 10 minutes (no joke.. cuz they are backlogged and just keep coming up LOLOLOL)

so believe me - i really have tried! hahahaha

you have NO idea how badly i wish that gina was configured to ecency! It would make me a freaking ROCKSTAR on the Ecency board hahahahahaha

but i am committed to... ahem... you know what very soon... so - maybe in that time - i will just finally get used to one system and then - just wait and see how high my name goes on the board! hahahahahahahahaha

I've never used Gina and now I'm glad! I only open links from the Ecency Discord because it's too annoying to click on a link and have peakd tell me I must log in to vote! Of course I see everything when I am in Ecency, it's just other Discord servers that limit me.. We need a simpler way!

He is truly the best and I love working with him. He is so patient and treats every single person as if they are the most important person on Hive. We'll see if there is anything that he can do, but I suspect it would be up to the Gina dev.

I really am just happy floating along and making things work as I can!

(and next month i'm really going to be trying to push for you-know-what) so... hehehe never know. you might end up with a new convert by the end of July anyway! even if we don't get gina up and running for that LOLOL

@dreemsteem There is a very simple fix to this, which I shared with @melinda010100 in the LadiesOfHive server a few months ago. ShadowsPub also includes it in every PYPT 'recap' post. Create a bookmark in your browser's "Bookmarks Bar" and title it "ECENCY." In the "address" field, paste the following Javascript:

Then, any time you find yourself on a PEAKD or HIVE.BLOG page, click the bookmark and — boom! 💥 — the page loads in Ecency, very quickly and easily!

Now, back to the original question... the dev who wrote GINAbot is neandersquirrel, but GINAbot is not currently in active development. So, you might be hard-pressed to track him down and convince him to add a "preferred interface" choice to the Settings Page.

However, there is another bot which functions exactly like GINAbot that is in active development. That bot is called F.R.I.D.A.Y by devs deathwing and rishi556. You can go to their Discord server https://discord.gg/Xg969d9xB5 and put a request in the #wishlist channel for them to add a "preferred interface" choice to the bot's Settings Page. There are no guarantees they will do it, but they certainly do listen to feedback/requests from users!

To begin using their bot, you can use the command: /register hivename, where "hivename" is the Hive account you wish to monitor. The same as with GINAbot, you can register multiple accounts, so you can monitor all your accounts (dreemsteem, dreemport, etc.) all from one Discord account. I am currently monitoring thekittygirl, theterminal, ladiesofhive, rc-assist, and others, and it works beautifully.

So, yeah, add the bookmark to make your life easier immediately. And maybe the FRIDAY bot will be tweaked soon to provide links in your preferred interface so you won't have to click the bookmark each time. 🙂

If you run into any problems with the bookmark thingie, DM me and I will assist. I have four such bookmarks on my browser, so I can easily jump between Ecency, PeakD, Hive.Blog, and Hiveblocks. That makes my life so much easier and I use them every single day!

I have never figured out how to do the bookmark thing on my phone. It's all I use.

I do love Friday bot for financial transaction notifications and have it set to notify me to account changes.

I do, but mostly use it for viewing, since using a keyboard is difficult for me. One handed swiping or speech to text works best on my phone.

I had not thought about the keyboard being difficult for you sometimes, but that makes perfect sense now that you mention it. 🙁

I tried the 'bookmark' thing with two different browsers on my cellphone and never could get it to work, sadly. I was able to erase the "peakd" and replace it with "ecency" in the URL, but that is more difficult on a cellphone than a computer, no doubt. I will be happy to talk to the devs for FRIDAY bot, if you wish, and make the request that I mentioned earlier!

Thanks! I was telling Good Karma about Friday bot and he contacted them too. I am really enjoying my Friday notifications when I am in Discord, but it would be much more useful if I could use the links!
