Hace 50 años, estaba de 9 años una niña aún pero con pensamientos de que hacer cuando creciera, a pesar que no tenía mucha actividad social solo el entorno del colegio.
Los cambios han sido muchos desde ese tiempo hacia nuestros días; en el hogar, la economía, la sociedad, la moda, el estilo de vida, la alimentación.
De niña como lo describo, antes la mayoría de las madres estaban sólo en casa con ese nombre que se le dio como amas de casa, viéndolo desde otra óptica de verdad que era y sigue siendo un empleo de mucha envergadura para todo lo que se hace en un hogar para que funcione.
Las madres que solo se dedicaban a amas de casa se encargaban de la economía familiar: alimentos, organización de casa, limpieza, educación de hogar de los hijos, atención del marido...bien detallada la lista sobre todo cuando en esas épocas el número de hijos en la mayoría de los hogares era más de dos, podían llegar a 10 y más.
Imagino y de hecho así lo siento después que me convertí en madre mantener la cordialidad con todos los hijos, sus cambios de humor, comportamiento, un reto total. Hace 50 años, existían las oportunidades de estudio para las personas que quisieran prepararse académicamente, el caso es que la cantidad de labores en el hogar era un poco difícil tomar la decisión de sumarse a las listas de estudiantes en las escuelas nocturnas para prepararse. Muchas mujeres lo hicieron pero otras no.
Han pasado los años y si han cambiado estilos de vidas y pensamientos hacia estos, puedo asegurar que las mujeres seguimos con el título de amas de casa junto a los títulos universitarios como licenciadas, doctoras en diferentes especialidades, magister igual en diferentes áreas, doctorados...seguimos siendo madres, esposas, mujeres, dándonos el lugar que queremos y cada quien elige ese lugar que busca.
En cuanto a los hogares el número de hijos por supuesto ha bajado, en estos años muchas chicas eligen 1 ó 2 hijos dependiendo las circunstancias de vida que se les ha presentado.

La mujer es más directa al tomar decisiones de separarse de relaciones de parejas sino cubren esos objetivos que en un principio organizó en pareja, no se queda esperando , busca su libertad. En cuanto a los hijos su educación es bastante compartida porque la mujer busca su economía de acuerdo a la preparación que tiene, cumplir horarios de trabajo y por supuesto no está las 24 horas del día en la casa.
El avance de la tecnología en este siglo es tan vertiginosa que ya muchas sólo desde el punto de vista financiero lo hacen desde el hogar algunas actividades simples otras con jerarquía dirigen empresas desde sus casas. Algunos dicen desde la comodidad de su hogar pero como todo tiene sus pro y sus contra el atender el hogar y dividir el tiempo dentro del hogar con las actividades profesionales que realiza y la asistencia a los miembros de la familia cuando así lo requieren.
Son muchos los cambios de 50 años hacia acá en todas las áreas de la vida de una mujer; con el ritmo de vida y cambios sociales, personales, individuales seguirán surgiendo nuevos estilos mas formas de pensamientos.

50 years ago, I was 9 years old, still a child but with thoughts of what to do when I grew up, even though I didn't have much social activity only the school environment.
The changes have been many since that time to the present day; in the home, the economy, society, fashion, lifestyle, food.
As a child, as I describe it, before most mothers were only at home with that name that was given to them as housewives, looking at it from another point of view, it really was and still is a very important job for everything that is done in a home to make it work.
Mothers who were only housewives were in charge of the family economy: food, organisation of the house, cleaning, home education of the children, care of the husband... the list is very detailed, especially when in those times the number of children in most homes was more than two, they could reach 10 and more.
I imagine and in fact I feel this way after I became a mother to maintain cordiality with all the children, their mood swings, behaviour, a total challenge. Fifty years ago, there were study opportunities for people who wanted to prepare themselves academically, the thing was that the amount of work at home made it a bit difficult to make the decision to join the lists of students in the night schools to prepare themselves. Many women did, but most did not.
I can assure you that we women still have the title of housewife along with university degrees such as bachelor's degrees, doctorates in different specialties, master's degrees in different areas, doctorates... we continue to be mothers, wives, women, giving ourselves the place we want and each one chooses the place she is looking for.
In terms of households, the number of children has of course decreased, in these years many girls choose 1 or 2 children depending on the life circumstances that have presented themselves.

She is more direct when making decisions to separate from a partner relationship, if they do not meet the objectives that she initially organised as a couple, she does not wait around, she looks for her freedom. As for the children, their education is quite shared because the woman looks for her economy according to the preparation she has, to fulfil work schedules and, of course, she is not at home 24 hours a day.
The advance of technology in this century is so vertiginous that many of them only from the financial point of view do it from home, some simple activities others with hierarchy manage companies from their homes. Some say from the comfort of their home, but like everything else, there are pros and cons to home-based work, dividing time at home with professional activities and assisting family members when required.
There are many changes from 50 years ago in all areas of a woman's life; with the pace of life and social, personal and individual changes, new styles and ways of thinking will continue to emerge.

Fashion changes every day, you see styles that were worn 10 or 15 years ago, everything comes back but with a modern ingredient.
Time goes by and it is true that we are still housewives even if we have the academic degrees we have achieved.
In my case, I have a Master's degree in Education... but I am still a housewife. I'm glad you found it funny, ha ha ha ha.

Es cierto, antes la mayoría de las mujeres vivían alrededor de su familia estaban totalmente dedicadas al hogar, incluso muchas de ellas se olvidaban de sí misma, afortunadamente ese tipo de actitud ha cambiado para el bien de todos.
Si, en la medida que ha pasado el tiempo y con la entrada de la información por diferentes espacios la mujer como que se va dando cuenta de todo lo que tiene a cargo y toda la fuerza que posee para hacer actividades distintas.

So many differences from then to now; really almost too many to ever really list. Whereas I came from a small family, I know many who had the 7+ children in theirs. I look back now and kind of envy those large families.

Much have changed over the years and glad that they are more for our betterment. Housewives are multi-degree holders but the best title I think is being called a "Mother" hehe :)

Recuerdo que le decía a mi esposo que cuando se decide hace vida juntos ese punto económico hay que hablarlo porque de verdad es un trabajo y con una responsabilidad única. Que toda mujer debe tener su salario como ama de casa...
