The reality is that most people are aggressively ambitious in their career and rarely pay attention to the essential tenets of investing. What comes with being aggressive in your career - long hours, not seeing the light of the day and missed experiences and opportunities that come with not having a balance.

My immature mind has made many investing mistakes in my relatively short career, which impact me financially and personally.

Not buying Ethereum in 2017

When I discovered Ethereum in May 2017, it was $50, but at the time I thought it just some magical internet money that would disappear with my fiat.

Expecting Quick Results

Bought Litecoin in April 2017 at $10 each, sold in May 2017 for $25, now today Litecoin is worth $129. Let me state emphatically: I didn't sell these cryptos because I needed the money. I sold them because they weren't blowing my socks off.

Addicted To Work

Part of my ignorance stemmed from the confidence in my job skills and my willingness, back then, to work until I drop. I'll admit that my career was on the upswing and that complacency cost me. My mentality was that I loved working so much and that I would never stop.

My biggest regret

My biggest regret in life is not about where I live, my relationships, career, family matters, or any other critical element of my life. My biggest life regret is not buying and holding Bitcoin.

I found out about Bitcoin somewhere during 2016. I was at work reading a wired.com article. The article was discussing the whole mt. gox scandal about bitcoin and that the exchange was filing for bankruptcy. It wasn't a great introduction to Bitcoin. Nonetheless, I read more about it to try to understand what it was.

When I mentioned Bitcoin to my friend - he asked what can you do with it? I fumbled my way through an explanation. He walked away, grunting flatly, "Ohhh…sounds too complicated". From his perspective, the world of cryptocurrency is all too complicated. I did an abysmal job in explaining Bitcoin. Still, I reconsidered my enthusiasm and decided against buying Bitcoin. I began to doubt myself because cryptocurrencies at the time seemed way too risky and volatile. LOL!

I can regret all kinds of things but I like to look forward! Even though I lost a pretty good sum in the futures trading, I'm learning to become better!

I made NONE of your 4 mistakes.
My biggest regret? Ruining HALF of my life behind the iron walls of ussr, not escaping from that soviet "evil empire" when I was young
