Another week has passed in my challenge to owning a complete Chaos Legion Regular Foil Set and Land, and I will closely monitor and transparently share all details about the challenge in these posts.

Obtain a complete regular foil Chaos Legion set playable in Gold Leagues by the end of 2023 Q1 - Update 7

It has taken 18 months, but the Chaos Legion print run has ended. When the Chaos Legion edition was released, and during the previous crypto bull run period, we saw countless articles published about how splinterlands had sold 6m packs in the first 24 hours. Those were insane times, and we all look back on those periods as a real pivotal moment in the game as we saw much streaming into the ecosystem, NFTs, and Web3 gaming in general. We know that mass euphoria and the hype died down as we entered the crypto bear market cycle. The momentum that Chaos Legion had achieved in its initial phase saw the remaining 9m packs taking another 15 months to sell out and end its print run officially. As I had mentioned a few times in the past times when I started my 1k Chaos Legion pack opening challenge, I was worried that I wouldn't be able to complete it and would have to resort to buying packs off the secondary market at inflated prices, but alas that didn't pan out.

Key Stats

Returning to the present, this week saw a reduced level of spending, and I could only garner enough funds to purchase two cards of the Corpse Fiend and complete leveling it up to level 2. There is just over a week left until the end of 2023 Q1, and I need to figure out where to acquire funds to purchase the two remaining cards for the challenge. Hopefully, If all things work out, after next week's update, I will have a complete regular foil Chaos Legion set that is playable in the Gold leagues with:

• Summoners at level three
• Common cards at level four
• Rare cards at level three
• Epic and Legendary cards at level two

Last week I made a calculation error in which I reported that I need to spend $150+ still to complete part 1 of the challenge, but that was incorrect. This week I have updated it to reflect the correct amount.
