HAVING A NICE PERSON AS A BOSS IS WHAT EVERYONE PRAYS FOR
I was happy graduating from high school and looking for a job for the first time. I didn't just want to sit at home doing nothing after I wrote my west African examination council and yes I passed it in one sit.
After the exam, I was tired of doing nothing because I am always home at every time and my father didn't allow me to learn how to makeup which I wish to learn so I decided to go for another option.
I started searching for work but I didn't get to see one fast, then thankfully a friend introduce me to where she works.
She works at a school as a teacher and took me to the school to apply as a teacher. Handing my letter of appointment to the proprietor of the school she asked me to resume at the school the next day. I was accepted and not rejected and I was happy.
I was appointed as a teacher for a primary Two student and it was fun teaching them. The school was a Montessori school and the students were brilliant and well-behaved.

My first job as a teacher was fun and I must say I gain a lot from teaching them because as I was teaching them I was also learning. Then at the end of the month, I receive my salary which was my first pay😋and I was so happy being the first time I receive the money I work for.
My boss is a very nice woman I must say and she cares for everyone who works at her school like her family. She shows us love and always talks to us with respect and everyone working for her at her school loves her. During Christmas time which was the second month, I spend In her school. she shared a big sachet of groundnut oil with everyone to celebrate Christmas and we were all happy.
Then I have to stop working at the school because at that time I gained admission into college and have to leave for school. The day I told her I won't be working at her school anymore she prayed for me and wish me success and I was glad she did.
My first work experience was fun and I wish all bosses will be like the one I worked for because she was nice and it was good working for her.

So glad to know that you're a teacher too. And I agree with you, having a good bosses makes our work environment very pleasant to us and make us more comfortable in our working place.

Yes, there is this happy feeling and joy we took along with us when we walk with a nice boss and that gives us strength to work diligently .
It's not always a desirable experience when it comes to sit at home all day, when you're use to going out , for school and co and I'm happy that know your friend connect you with her place of work.
You're very much lucky to get a job so fast and best of all you love your job.
Working at a place we love usually makes work easier and so is having a caring and understanding boss.
Thanks for sharing your experience with us, although mine was the other way round, but I'm glad I learnt my lesson the hard way.
Yes working with a nice boss makes us love our work and gives us the energy to put in our strength when working and I must say I wish everyone can have a nice boss so they will all love to go to work with a smile on their faces.
So you guys are allowed to teach in school even though you aren't college graduates? That's good though..
Yes,though we were restricted to a particular class and it happens only in private school not government school.
I hope this is a fictional story and not a real one. This is not the first post I read where high school graduates are hired as teachers. The damage you can do to kinds by teaching without proper training is huge. I'm not sure what the law says in your country, but in the other parts of the world you need university degree to teach and that is the right way.
Maybe in the movies, but in real life this almost never happens.
Anyway, I hope things can change and teaching will be done by those who have a proper training. Otherwise it's waste of time and extremely dangerous.
It’s not a fictional story and that’s my country for you. Well,high school graduates are allow to teach here but they are restricted to a particular class. It’s believe here that people can teach with the knowledge they get from high school though like you said it’s not right and it should be done by a professional teacher,well that’s how life is in this part of the country I stay and I don’t think it will change soon .
And when I said the students are well behaved,sure they were because it all depend on the person teaching then and it’s a private school not a public so they were not that much.
It is not about the knowledge as anyone can learn the lesson from the book and teach them the next day. It's more about how you treat those kids. Universities have psychology classes for teachers, different educational techniques and so on, which they don't teach in high school. That is the problem.
Now I understand your point and I sure reason with you because presently now I am at University of college and undergoing teaching practices and training will sure differentiate us from normal students who don't undergo training.
I know you are so much concerned about the students learning and it's such a good thing to see from you.
I was fortunate to have always had good bosses. I know that doesn't happen often. I became friends with each of them. One, who ended up being a favorite, was someone no one wanted to work for, because, they said, he's so stern and demanding. Funny thing, I found him very easy to work for. He told me what was expected of me and I did it. I hardly ever heard from him (I actually never met him in person as I worked in another location). I just did my work. I like it that way - leave me alone and let me do my job.
Working with a nice person is always the best and it gives us room to have fun and happy when working. Thank you for your contribution to my post.

Very nice account of your first work experience. Teaching is very rewarding, you feel very satisfied because you have been able to collaborate with the studies of others who need guidance. It is good to have met such a good boss, such a good person. The bad and the good (at the same time) is that you had to leave that beautiful job to continue your university studies, but they are very important for your future as a professional.
