When Music Met The New Lady - A funny sweet experience

When music met the new lady (1).png

Three years back when I got admission into the university which I'm about graduating from in a month or two, I got into a new lodge and every other thing was new to me except the stuffs I brought from home hehe

One thing about me is that I tend to be very quiet, calm and talk less when I'm in a new place. I didn't try to mingle with the new faces I came across in the lodge aside wishing them good day every time I saw them.

No, I'm not a quiet person. I can be very loud and troublesome if I get comfortable with a person or a place so it was just the new environment telling on me.

But I got out of my shell in less than a week

You won't believe what happened... There were this two guys living in one of the rooms, a room away from mine. I couldn't help but noticed how a bit unlucky they were 😂 Okay, please don't mind me but I'm just being realistic... One was not good looking at all to me 😂 and the other was so dark in complexion (I mean very dark!) 😆

I've seen lots of handsome people in my life so I just couldn't help commenting on their appearance the first time I saw them... I didn't say a word to them though.

A few days after in the middle of the night while I was trying to make sleep understand that I needed some of it... I heard something from outside.

A lovely duet song that I was very familiar with 🥺🥰

I've once written how music brought me and my neighbor back at home together, it wasn't only that experience I've had... This is another I'm about to sharing. I always react to any song I hear especially when it's in my reality and not just from my Playlist.

Hearing the two voices singing the song so powerfully made me stop pleading with sleep immediately, I became so curious!!!

That is one thing good music does to me - curiosity... Who is singing this song? Would they be able to get past that bridge? How well can they end the song? I always tend to ask that when I know the song very well even if I can't sing it perfectly.

And that was it, I was up on my bed listening as they continued singing so beautifully, surprising me with every tone and melody they made on the song. I couldn't help but smile as I listened.

Well, music does something more than curiosity to me and that is "Quest to know more" or are they the same thing? 😂 I don't know though.

So I couldn't bear to just sit inside and listen... I went out of my room!!! 😳

Imagine a new neighbor who had never spoken a word to anyone aside "a good morning", she came out of her room late at that night to connect with the new voices she heard outside her room.

And surprise! The voices I heard were from the guys I had badmouthed about their looks 😆 too bad for me I realized my mistake and fell in love with those looks when music joined the party.

They saw that I came out to listen to them and I wonder who told them I could sing, they began another very familiar and favourite song of mine... They asked me to join them 😳 and I couldn't refuse!

We made a trio out of the song and believe me, it was a rendition to listen to over again but nop! We didn't record so it was a one time experience.

Ever since then, these guys have been looking so handsome in my eyes 😂 can someone please explain to me why that happens with lovers of music?

I always tend to see handsome faces on any with good voices... It works on me all the time!

Lol the content ends happily ever after 😂. I was quick to judge you for such comments about the two guys. But I love the way the story ended. Well I believe this is the human part of us telling.

Haha I didn't mean any offense when I thought that about, it was just some silly thought that came to mind at the first time I saw them 😆

Well, music gave them a new look in my eyes 🎶🤣🤣

My answer to your question is: There is a connection between music and the mind/soul, if you get to meet with who can do the singing very well the person becomes your music😂😂😂

Hahaha, OMG @merit.ahama, you badmouthed them? ok, ok, I understand, but you see, liking someone is much much more than the physical appearance :))

I have to tell you that this story was so funny and nice at the same time 😇
Cool that the neighbour's thing still continues in some ways :D

Music really connects people. It creates a very strong bond between people. I remember how a popular snub in my neighborhood became my friend just because we both like the same kind of music. Listening to good voices is really sweet. I really understand the feeling.

Thanks for sharing. I enjoyed the read
