"Super remedio casero (ES)"

" Super home remedy (EN)"

Two years ago when I arrived in the Eastern Republic of Uruguay, for a Caribbean man like me, a change of season from Autumn to Winter was a novelty. The first two weeks into winter, my body was adjusting to the South American temperatures and winds.

It was a season that I had to pedal all over Montevideo until 2 a.m. Delivering orders from different companies, under rain and cold that I had experienced very little before and what had to happen happened: I caught a big cold and remembered my mother's remedies for phlegm and throat infections:

  • Te (Any type)
  • Honey
  • Lemon
  • Ginger

I made my #naturalmedicine as usual but this time I took it in the very Uruguayan way, with Yerba #MATE, for those who have not tried it yet, it is a very consumed herb among Paraguay, Argentina, Brazil and Uruguay.

Today two years later I am preparing my immunity system before Winter with this easy but super effective home remedy available to everyone, because among all the ingredients they have great power to fight seasonal respiratory infections, which many now call COVID- 19.

This was my remedy along with a diet rich in vegetables, fruits and grain, fewer worries, changing my urban environment for a more rural one and long bike rides, I think that up to now they have been a very healthy combination for my body.

Because I believe that all diseases start from our mental and emotional state, when you feel colds before buying a drug, look for many recipes from our grandmothers like this one that I am sharing with you today.
