Will Digital Services Act Affect the Hive Ecosphere?

Recently, I've been learned about the European Union's plan with the Digital Services Act (DSA). Perhaps the DSA and how it will influence big tech is nothing new to you, but for me, as somewhat of a layman in this field, was new to this topic.

While I'm not an expert on the nitty-gritty details of the this new act I think it is important to know at least the basic ideas and think about how this might influence our time spent on platforms provided by the big tech.

According to Wikipedia, the DSA requires the big tech which host personal data to be more open on how their algorithms work in relation to deleting illegal content and how data is used for targeted ads. These rules would apply to platforms which host to more than 45 million EU users. Something, I guess will be a while when it comes to Hive. When violating the newly proposed obligations are subject to fines up to 6% of the annual turnover.

Will this eventually open the doors to the secret algorithm vaults of the Facebooks and Twitters?

While learning about the DSA and thinking what this would imply, it made me very curious how such rules would be enforced on decentralised platforms. While in case of Hive, as I believe it is all open source, there is full transparency when it comes to algorithms. And I believe with that, this whole act doesn't really apply to Hive.

I think this is a case which shows the benefits of platforms like Hive is. Or am I missing some obvious components in the equation?

What do you think? How will the big tech companies deal with the DSA ones it is put into place? Will spend large sums of money until they figured out all the loopholes to continue as they do, or do you think the DSA will actually change things for the better?
