I like your take on this, and I agree that comparison comes from all angles.
Comparing siblings can be more negative I believe.

While other teachers are neutral and do not show much interest but only in providing training for their students

I think that's a better approach.
I'm quite neutral on many things, and believe that people all have strengths and weaknesses, in different areas, so individuality is more of a priority for me:)

You are right it tends to be more negative, but depending on the angle we look at it, it can be taken with an essence of self-improvement when we like competition.
