Fake Feathers

"Let me post my check-in pics on social media. This place is so amazing, it will create a great impression on everyone." If anyone enters into his social media profile, they would have a great impression of his chilling life. Check-ins at five-star restaurants, hangouts with rich friends, luxury tours, and so on to maintain an impression of high-class. His social media posts also speak a rich tone on his every word and pic. What's the harm in these? Nothing to be personal just we are getting a fake impression about someone but in reality, go check and find out who the hell he is in reality.

He is a boy of 25, old enough to bear his own expenses. Still, he would ask for all of his expenses from his father who has an ordinary govt job. The increasing living expense puts an extra burden on him every month. On the other hand, his son, who is indifferent to the harsh reality, lives in a paradise. As long as he doesn't face these in person, he is not gonna realize. Born to a middle-class family and trying to maintain the impression of a rich kid being indifferent to reality. When the father will stop running, bearing the burden of the family, is the only moment he realizes his actual place and responsibilities.

Our society/social media is full of this kinda race of making fake impressions. We get indifferent to real worth and waste our potentials on these, I have seen many such kinda people. We tend to present ourselves decently in front of everyone, there is no harm in it too. The real damage is done when we get ourselves wounded while doing something which is actually beyond our means. We do remember the story of Mathilde Loisel, right? At a high-class party, she tried to present herself with a diamond necklace that was beyond her means. She bought that from one of her friends and lost it. While repaying for a diamond necklace her life became more struggling. Though later she found out the necklace was not made of diamonds but the damage was done, she suffered a lot due to these. Her desire for something beyond her reach made her life more miserable. That was a perfect story in this lesson to teach us to stay within our boundaries.

That was a story from our childhood, I wish to post it again on my social media and make them read it once again. Make them realize what should be their priorities in order. Yeah, we can always hope for a better life, dream for much higher than our current situations. But we must work for them, right? Doing foolish things and making fake impressions is something that irritates me a lot. I am not a jealous kind of person truly, I just get triggered on some things that are not right, which should be changed for our own benefits. Some may also say why don't we mind our own business, it's because we are into the same social media and why should we bear fake things which make the place unbearable. I can't afford to inhale them. There is no harm in expressing the real worth, if anyone is ashamed of their current situation then they should start working to change it instead of covering themselves with fake feathers.
