Manifestation: Gratitude & Examples of My Experiences

avatar

In my last Manifestation Post, I wrote about how I use the notebooks I have, and about visualization.
I hope that you've taken some positive points from it all, and maybe you're already practicing a few things, or maybe even all?

Whatever it is, there's really no right or wrong. Everyone is on their own journey, and you'll know what's best for you. All I can do is tell you about how I do certain things, and what has worked for me.

In this post, I'd like to talk about gratitude, as well as give an example how the practices have worked out for me.

Gratitude

"Be Grateful for the Little Things, and the Big Things will follow."

This is as important with manifestation practices as it is in normal, every-day life.
Life is best lived by giving and taking. If you never give but always only take, you'll find that life can become rather difficult. However, if you only give, and never take, it will probably be the same!
Many people have problems receiving. They feel they're not worthy, whether consciously or subconsciously.
Or maybe they think: I'm just not a very lucky person.
Well, let's leave luck out of the equation for a bit.
You could be the luckiest person on earth, getting everything you want but be secretly very unhappy.
And the other way around.

┍━━━━♥♠♣♦━━━━━━━♥♠♣♦━━━━━━━♥♠♣♦━━━━┑

We need to learn to be able to give as much as we need to be able to receive.
And with that comes gratitude.

If there's a person that always takes and receives but never shows any gratitude towards anyone, they won't get far.
This is the same with manifestation.
The universe will never give you what you want if you can't feel grateful for the little things.

What I've made part of my daily routine, is to feel and speak gratitude every day of the week. When I go outside and hear the birds sing, I am grateful for that. For the place we live in, for the people, for everything that puts a smile on my face. I see it, consciously feel it, and I write it down in my Gratitude Notebook.
By doing this, you will attract more into your life to be grateful for.

┍━━━━♥♠♣♦━━━━━━━♥♠♣♦━━━━━━━♥♠♣♦━━━━┑

When we were still in Ireland, there were more days where I didn't feel this than there were days when I did.
However, I would make a point of it to practice it, even when I didn't feel it.
I'd find things to be grateful for.
Singing birds is an easy one. Who doesn't feel happy to hear them sing?
I'd be grateful for my health and the health of my children every day EVEN when one of us was sick or not feeling great.

┍━━━━♥♠♣♦━━━━━━━♥♠♣♦━━━━━━━♥♠♣♦━━━━┑

I have a notebook just for the purpose.
Let me explain:

The Book of Gratitude

As an example, let's say I was feeling a bit under the weather. I would feel a flu coming on. And of course, these come at the most impossible times. It's never a good time to get sick, is it?

In my notebook, I'd write:

I am happy and grateful for my health.
I'm happy that I feel so much better in such a short time, and that I had the time for my body to rest and get better on its own.

You can add as much there as you like.
But for me, it always worked. I'd feel better almost instantly, or at least very soon after writing this.
I believe that the body will tell us when it's time to rest and clear itself, and this will come in the form of 'dis-ease' but I've always managed to 'trick' it into believing that it wasn't actually getting sick. I've only had a flu three times in my whole life...
This may sound WAY out there but maybe just give it a try the next time you feel a cold or a flu coming on.
You've got nothing to loose by trying, right?

This can be used with everything else in life.
Being grateful for something that isn't in your life yet will make it appear quicker. Try it! You'll be amazed!

Another Example

The other day I wrote that we are moving.
From the moment I decided that it was time to move on to something better, I acted like we were already there.
At the time, I didn't have a clue how to pay for the rent that's quite a bit more than what I am paying now, and the deposit that come with it. I just trusted that it would come, and didn't worry about it.

In fact, this practice is exactly how we made it to Mexico in the first place.

Sometimes, I still use the notebooks, and other things but there are times now, where I don't even have to do anything. I just have to think it.

┍━━━━♥♠♣♦━━━━━━━♥♠♣♦━━━━━━━♥♠♣♦━━━━┑

The day after we looked at the house, and we decided that it was perfect for us, a friend gave me a tip about something that would make it possible to get the money
for the move, and probably even more.

I couldn't have imagined where this would come from, and it's not important. If you start to worry about where something could come from, you are limiting yourself. If you keep an open mind, you'll be able to manifest just about anything, and it will come from sources you never would have thought of. Showing gratitude for something you would like to see in your life, when it's not even there yet, will bring it into your life.

And once this comes into your life, make sure to be grateful for all of it again. If it comes through a person, of course, the most logical thing is to be grateful for them.
I always write it in the notebook, one of them or all, and it works like a charm.

Every single time.

Sadly, a lot of people will only learn how to be more grateful after they had lost it. By then it will be too late.

That's true. A lot of people will. I think it may take a loss or two to truly appreciate what we have. However, I believe gratitude is something that's easily incorporated in daily life. Just walking outside, smile at what the day brings (birds, sun, and even rain) and say a little 'thank you' is more than enough.

That's great and very inspiring. The importance of balance cannot be underestimated.

When I lived in Ireland though, the weather did get me down a bit, but I was grateful for the many other positive things there.

Thank you!
Where did you live in Ireland again? And yeah, I can relate to the weather thing. That's what brought me down most of the time in Ireland too. Also in the Netherlands. Both beautiful countries, if it weren't for the weather.
Although, in my case, feeling out of place had something to do with it too.
I've always felt more at home in other countries, rather than my own.

I just lived in Dublin for 8 years. I left around 8 years ago too! 😅

It was a bit depressing landing at Dublin airport and there was always thick turbulence going through the clouds.. but there were many good things there with its easygoingness and no council taxes or water charges.. although I think that's changed now.

I hope you find your home where you feel good, I know that feeling.

You gave me a lot to process. I think I will have to give this a second read. Thanks for this wonderful post.
