Manifestation: Intent and Inspiration

After my first Manifestation Post, @metzli said she'd love to join in as a writing partner, and I happily agreed!
She's one of those women I have great respect for, and we go WAY back all the way into the early Steemit days...
So I feel honored to have her as a writing partner.
However, this doesn't mean that others can't join in! So if you feel compelled to write about your experiences, let us hear about it!
The more the merrier, right?

In my last post about Manifestation Manifestation: From Motivation to your Dream Life!, I touched on how motivation has an important role in the creation of the life you want to see for yourself.

If not the most important role.

You can have all the ideas in the world, if you are not motivated to go through every step you take with as much positivity as possible, then you might never bring any of those ideas to fruition.
I know that sometimes it's hard to stay focused and positive, especially when there are unexpected set-backs.
I know this from experience!
However, believe me when I say that once you manifest even the littlest things,
it will be much easier to keep a positive mind,
and you will begin to see more positive things making their way into your life.

I just wanted to touch on this quickly but it's not what this post is about.
Let's have a look what is!

Intent

We all have certain dreams. Most of us have an idea of how we'd like to see our lives unfold.
Personally, I used to 'want' certain things but they'd be a bit vague.
I'd think things like: 'I want to be able to travel' or 'I'd like to have a nice car'.
These are vague ideas, and I'll tell you why.

When I say that I want to be able to travel, well then that can mean anything.
I could be living in Ireland (like I was at the time), and be able to travel to the South of Ireland, or to Northern Ireland.
It wasn't very clear where exactly I wanted to travel, so the universe will read it as such.

It's the same with wanting a nice car.
What is a nice car in my opinion?
It could be anything.
But once you make it clear for yourself, it's a whole different ballgame.

I wanted a 'nice family car' and what I got was a VW 7 seater. Not that I wasn't happy with it, but it wasn't the car I would have loved to have. It was 'just' OK.
But later, when I set a clear intention that I wanted a Hyundai Santa Fe it was exactly what I got. And it almost fell into my lap.
I was looking for similar cars from car dealers.
I'd also been looking at cars on marketplaces but nothing interesting came up within my price range. And I also had to keep in mind that buying a car privately held more risks than buying from a car dealer.

I made an appointment with one of the respected car dealers in my area, and found only one car that was suitable. It was OK but not perfect.
At the time, it was the only car that I could buy in our area, so unless I was going to fork out more than planned, or willing to drive many miles, this was going to be the one.
Somehow, this little voice in my head told me to wait. So I told the car dealer guy that I'd go home to think about it, and I'd call him that evening.

I went home, opened my laptop, went onto the marketplace I'd been searching for weeks, and the exact car I'd been hoping to get popped up on the screen. Just posted. And only 20 minutes away!

I called them right away, made an appointment for that day, and went to check out the car.
Not only was this car about 1000 Euro cheaper than the one at the car dealer, it was 3 years younger, and had less mileage.

My gut feeling said the owner could be trusted. He told me his wife had been the one driving the car with their children, and now that the children were all older, and some had left the house, they were buying her a smaller car. It all seemed to be true. He had maintenance records from all the services done on it, and the car looked like it was maintained very well.
I didn't have to think twice (I knew what to look for, in case you were wondering hehe).
However, I had to come back the next day, as I didn't have all the money with me.
We agreed to meet halfway between where he lived, and where I lived. And he also surprised me by filling the tank for me all the way.

I got exactly what I wanted because it was the exact intent I had set for myself, and at the same time I didn't limit myself by setting a certain price for it all, so I ended up getting a better deal than I thought I would have. I even got the car in the color that I wanted!

How does Intention create Inspiration?

Well, as an example: my gut feeling told me to wait before I'd agreed to buy the other car at the garage. My intention was to get a Hyundai Santa Fe but it was above my price range every time. I listened to the little voice in my head, and when I got home, that little voice told me to check the marketplace one more time.
If I wouldn't have listened and reacted to that little voice, the car most likely would have been gone...

Instead, I managed to get a brilliant deal, and I drove that car for 2 years, until I sold it for a very good price when we moved here.

What I'm trying to say is that once you set very clear intentions of what it is that you want, you will get little nudges, like an inner voice, or an idea, or something that just happens to come onto your path, that will help you along your way.

Make sure to open your mind to these little nudges! Don't ignore them!

I hope you've enjoyed this part of my Motivation Series.
I am writing it as it comes to me, and I don't have a set plan of what it will look like in the end. I let 'Inspiration' guide me.
So forgive me if there are things you'd do differently.
I'd love to hear about your journey!

In the next part of this, I will write a bit more about Intent & Inspiration, and I thought maybe it would be nice to put in some practice, so you can see for yourself how this all works.

And I will also have some news for you then!

I'm excited!!!

You are correct - motivation and having a positive mindset plus setting clear intention hence being specific about what one would really are necessary ingredients in order to manifest.

This is an awesome post. 'Make sure to open your mind to those little nudges, like an inner voice, or an idea, or something that just happens to come onto your path, that will help you along your way. Don't ignore them!'. These are my key take away, from you @misslasvegas, thanks.

We all need to pay attention to what our subconscious tells us. Somehow our subconscious knows what our conscious mind doesn't.

Most times when I want to race quicker than I should I get stopped in my tracks by these words, "if you wait, the grass will grow again".

Right now, you have shown this to be true. When you tried not to hurriedly go for the car you found at the dealer but you waited it out even though for a few hours, and you got the exact one that you wanted.

"if you wait, the grass will grow again".

I love that!
And right, sometimes 'right away' isn't the right time.
Something better may come up instead when we wait.

Thank you for stopping by!

Lovely to read this post! Also when I read it I hear your voice and expression, which makes it even better <3

I would love to share my little grain of sand to this beautiful topic.
I agree with you so much, you have to be clear with the intentions you have so the universe gives you exactly what you want.
One thing I’ve learned is, the word is one of the most important, not to say, the most important thing to use when you manifest. Use the words to express exactly what you want. As good as you mentioned on your post.
(If you speak Spanish you can hear more about this listening the interviews with José Luis Parise)
But there’s something also very important, which is: speak in present.
If you ask to the universe “I need money ” the universe will always understand “she/he needs money, so will always leave you with the need of it. Well, this is not what we want.
The way to manifest would be “I have money”, “I have this specific car”, “I have this specific house” and if you use the power of visualisation, it works even better.
Good luck everyone in your journey on creating your life.

Some of my little thoughts, thanks for sharing dear!!
