Yeah, I was quite mad, to be honest. He was like: 'Uhhh, I didn't see you...' And I was like: 'HOW THE HELL could you not see me? I looked you right in the face as I was walking in the MIDDLE of the road!" But he was obviously texting and looking up every few milliseconds but not registering what was on the road.
I realized this later. Also, because he came around the corner, he slowed down and was probably going 20-30 km per hour or so, at most. BUT looking at my injuries (I had more wrong than 'just' a black eye), if that would have been a child...or an elderly person...I don't even want to think of it to be honest. Makes me mad...
But yeah, definitely read some Hivefest fomo posts hehe.
And start saving a little...Or find some gold at the beach or so hahaha.
Oh wow. I spend lots of time on the road, and see these idiots on the phone all the time.
I've read before that even at speeds as low as 40km/h, a pedestrian impact could be fatal.
Glad to hear it all turned out Okay.
