Let’s talk about the price of SPS and how Splinterlands is contributing to sustain Hive’s price pumps

The price of SPS is slowly returning to the levels it was before the launch of the Chaos Legion presale. It seems like all the steam from CL private sale FOMO which required staked SPS to receive VOUCHERS has blown off as majority of players and interested participants have loaded up on all the presale packs they desire and the VOUCHER drop period has ended.

This, coupled with the general drop in markets are some factors contributing to the massive drop in the price of SPS. But it’s not as bad as it looks. Phase 2 of pack sales is starting by December 8 and will require VOUCHERS which are either going to be gotten as airdrop through staked SPS or be purchased via the open market.

Additionally, the VOUCHER token airdrops will resume on December 8th at the normal time at double the pace of the presale period for 30 days starting. This means that a total of 2M VOUCHER tokens will be awarded to staked SPS token holders over the 30 day period at the rate of 66,666.666 per day.

By this, purchasing and staking of SPS is going to be re incentivized, bringing potential for the price of SPS to resume interesting price actions during that period and bounce right back up. This signals only one thing. Buy the DIP. There should be a token named $Dip so that when Elon Musk says buy the $Dip, the token will pump ha ha 😲😬.

I like the fact that the rate of Vouchers to be received will be doubled so that those who could only acquire little amount of vouchers during the first stage like myself will get the chance to double their vouchers and in turn the number of packs they are likely to purchase.

I was able to get about 0.5 vouchers per day in the first stage, I’ll be getting a little bit over 1 voucher per day in the second stage for 30days, which means I’ll be able to acquire a little bit over 30packs if I buy 1 pack everyday with the present amount of SPS token I’m holding. Coolies right!

After the 2M VOUCHER tokens are distributed over 30 days in phase 2 of the pack sale (even if the 2M packs have not yet been sold), VOUCHER tokens will continue to be distributed at the rate of 20,000 tokens per day to staked SPS holders indefinitely.

Another interesting thing is that, Vouchers are here to stay, I said this before, as long as an account has SPS staked, the account will be receiving VOUCHERS indefinitely, however, what the Vouchers will be worth will be based on the incentives introduced at different points in the game’s lifetime.

So to get Vouchers, you need SPS(except you’re buying in the market). To get SPS, you need DEC and every other Splinterlands assets. To get DEC, you need to play the game, buy and hold assets(cards). To play the game, you need to buy a Spell book. To buy a spell book, you need a Hive account. To get a Hive account, you’ll need to burn some Hive and lock some up even when HIVE is worth 1$, so we continue to create a strong price floor for Hive.

I love these building blocks, I love Splinterlands, I love Hive and how they’re both interwoven with it’s entire community and economy and I can’t wait to see what this place will look like in 3years.

I’ll still like to see more utilities for SPS IMO. What do you say?

It's all interwoven, to get something, you have to actually own something, it's like real time. Having time and money to earn or make more Money.

As for SPS, might see an even further dip after the airdrop is over.
Generally the market seem bearish for the past two days now

Use money to make money to make more money as belemo says lol.

Yeah SPS might still dip as we gear up for phase 2 of the voucher drops.

Hope you’re enjoying your game plays

When people start to understand that, they will see the enormous potential that exists with Hive.

Slowly things are starting to come together.

The users, both the new and old are beginning to see how compounding the system is, eventually you're a winner overtime with some of the investment choices you make, especially if you're looking to build and established with the chain.

A good job piecing it all together. We are starting to get a foundation in place that is pushing use case. With this, we will see a lot more entering this realm.

For me, we still in the keep pushing forward and building more stage. There is not enough here yet. That is coming.

A couple more applications like @splinterlands and we will be in a much different position.

HivePunks really added to the ecosystem. It was something that came from one person but really added to what is here.

There definitely isn’t enough here and more will certainly come. We aren’t even sure about the type of beast that will come out from hivepunks yet

Exciting huh?! I bought my packs and will buy more with the double vouchers for presale 2, really looking forward to all the airdrops that are coming :D

It has not yet been my strategy to sell anything in Splinterlands, only buy and stake and receive, price goes up of all assets in the end ;-)

Splinterlands has the best perfoming buy pressure on the price of Hive. Higher prices mean more people and increasing engagement. Basically, the game takes Hive into another level by itself :)

They fit together just perfectly. I can’t help but imagine having 5 types of splinterlands on hive! Moooon! Thanks for your comment

I think the biggest factor for SPS and DEC is simply the airdrop. While the airdrop is happening demand should stay high and the price should stay strong but follow the overall crypto market. I am thinking that that as we approach the completion of the airdrop, the large accounts will look to cash out while demand is still high and the price of both SPS and DEC will take massive hits. How they rebound will be the question. I think it will do fine, this project is very strong in my opinion but this airdrop is crazy generous and I hope it doesn't harm the overall price. I think packs and vouchers will only move the needle a little bit compared to the airdrop, maybe I'm wrong.

Yeah, correct.

I am thinking that that as we approach the completion of the airdrop, the large accounts will look to cash out while demand is still high and the price of both SPS and DEC will take massive hits.

I’ve thought about this a thousand times too, even small accounts might want to cash out at that time, it really depends on the Utility of SPS at that time, the importance of staking SPS has to high compared to the reason to sell.

And most of it will be tied to what vouchers can do within the game, if vouchers are strategically anchored to perks within the game which majorly only SPS stakers have access to as airdrop....something like some future buy backs programmed by the SPS DAO, where people vote on the amount to be used for periodic buybacks or something interesting like that, then SpS will live well after the airdrop.

For DEC. The biggest reason why people are holding DEC is the SPS airdop, and that’s why the value have continued on this levels. But a high dec is good for the entire Splinterlands economy, both as a business and as a game. So the onus really is on the team to try to keep it this way. Perhaps there will be things introduced down the line that will require holding of DEC.

My resolution is that the about 265(rough calc) days remaining for the airdrop will bring enough clarity on the way to go. The good thing is that a lot of projects don’t even get to have this much time to get their tokenomics right. I like how Splinterlands is experimenting and making adjustments along the way with this 1year long airdrop approach.

I think it will do fine, this project is very strong in my opinion but this airdrop is crazy generous and I hope it doesn't harm the overall price.

I think it will do more good than harm. I see it like this. With this airdrop, Splinterlands is on one hand funding the players to fund their games, players can choose to cash out if they want ofcourse. But unlike other games where people have to bring in capital afresh to start the game, Splinterlands is basically putting money in peoples hands through the airdrop and a lot of that money is going back into the system, plus new people, plus old players who just want to invest more and are able to....

I think we are starting to see the use of sps and when land expansion comes out people are gonna need sps in one way or form and thats when the real money making begins

That will certainly be lovely to see. I think it’s also been hinted in some AMA’s in the past.
